Please keep in mind that the material in my videos are being presented for educational, humorous, and informative purposes. I am not an expert and will never claim to be one. Make sure to learn history from books, trusted historians and authors, question everything and definitely don't blindly believe a video on some social media platform.
Despite my best efforts to present correct and current information, I am human and thus susceptible to unintentionally making mistakes in my videos. Some of these mistakes are minor, while some are catastrophic enough to ruin an entire video. Thus, I encourage you to do your own research to verify/fact-check any information presented in a video and if I do get something wrong, I sincerely apologise. Please don't flame me, I appreciate feedback no matter how harsh and am committed to improving the quality of my content, so if a mistake is found, point it out in the comments and if the mistake is catastrophic enough, it will be remedied in due time.
Also, as a native Australian speaker (butchered English), I am prone to mispronouncing just about every word that exists outside the English language to varying hilarity/butchering. While it might not always be apparent in my videos, I genuinely make an effort to accurately pronounce all foreign words. In the event I come across a word that I find particularly challenging or impossible to pronounce, I will resort to using text-to-speech. But, in many instances, I will power on and try to pronounce a word to the best of my ability and will ultimately fail. So, if this occurs and the word belongs to your language, please feel free to have a light-hearted laugh at my expense and kindly point it out in the comments.
This has been me Jack and thank you for your hopefully unwavering attention.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the video or any other future videos (uploaded weekly) and don't forget to subscribe to watch more. - Развлечения
I was born in the former West Germany, lived most of my live overseas and currently live in the former East Germany. There are still a lot of differences, to be clear. Yes, the economy is, in general, weaker in the East than the West -- but the cost of living is lower and it's easier to secure housing in the former East. People in the former East also tend to be a lot more down-to-earth and laid back. I hated living in the former West Germany because of how arrogant many people were, how controlling and fond of micro-managing they often are. (Not everyone, but there is a tendency among many) People in the former East also tend to be a lot more helpful. There's also an overwhelming ignorance in the former West. For example, the economy in the former DDR is not nearly as bad as it used to be. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, where I live, the unemployment rate is about 7.1pc. That is above the national average of 5.5pc, but is only a fraction of a percent higher than it is in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hamburg and Saarland.
Cheers mate, good job. Thank you for your thorough research on the subject matter. Much love from germany. Video got randomly recommended to me, hope the algorithm keeps blessing you.
What is the name of the song over the maps of the differences between west and east? Cuase I'm curious and you don't have it in the description
Good video!
Just one thing: the pictured "Ossi" is a pretty clearly bavarian (so he's not an Ossi).
last time I was this early the berlin wall f- oh wait...
The name of the song before the outro?
I think it matters that until after the American Civil War, Germany wasn’t a single country but was dozens, and that eastern and western Germany differed profoundly even before the war(s). So it seems only normal that they still differ.
If only Germans could've found unification as fast as I found this video! First ;)
Not exactly selling me on West Germany with all those mosques and Turks...
But who would make us disgusting kebabs without them?
Communism. Not even once.
And besides that, it was socialism.
