+MATERIALS: Embroidery floss, ruler, scissors, button, clipboard
    +MEASUREMENTS:
    I used FIVE colors:
-the purple strand (whichever color you want to form the diamond) should be longest = 90 inches
-all other strands (red, coral, pink, white) = 65 inches
***The purple strand (or whichever strand you form the diamond with) has to be longest because you form the most knots with it. Technically, since I formed more knots with the darker strands, my measurements were more like...
    PURPLE: 90 inches | RED: 65 inches | CORAL: 60 inches | PINK: 55 inches | WHITE: 50 inches
BUT... if that's too complicated, just make all non-diamond forming strands 65 inches long.

I actually set my tripod up on top of the desk and angled the camera straight down (so basically I had to maneuver around the legs of my tripod to actually make the bracelet, but I think the bird's eye view is best for showing something like this). Hope that helps!

I love that you explain why the diamond-forming strand has to be so much longer. Most tutorials just say "cut all to 55"-65" and I'm so bummed when I don't have enough cord to make a bracelet long enough. I stress out about waste too, so I probably would be someone who cuts 50",55", 60", 65" and 90".
Really nice color choice, and really nice tutorial!

There's this thing at school called Prep and we get separated in groups and we have to make up a product in each group every class in the whole school and now our product is Chevron and Double knotted bracelets. I came up with the idea because in the holidays i learnt how to make them thanks to you! :) Our budget is only $50 and the embroidery floss costs $3 each color and we have to make 100 bracelets. Our teacher approved our product to sell so thank you it made my job a lot easier :)

Yes! I use the DMC 6-strand embroidery floss (available at Michael's, but probably also Walmart/JoAnn's as well). The colors are: purple/maroon = #814, red = #817, coral =#3340. I don't have the exact numbers for the baby pink and the cream strands, but those shouldn't be too hard to find. Hope this helps!

I usually see this as a four string, but I think it looks so much nicer as a wider five string. Your instructions are very easy to follow as well.
I think the only thing I noticed that I had forgotten was to switch the direction I knot when knotting back to the outside from the inside. You don't make mention of this and I had to notice it from watching the way you were knotting.
