Tarantino considers Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2 as one of his ten movies. They were filmed at the same time and released 6 months apart. There is a released version of the movie called Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair which combines them both.
hheel kick is dope! i discovered cooper off jaffes channel, small world lol If they ever get around to comedy it would b slick to have them rank a movie from someone who watches the channel 😆
16:20 Tarantino counts kill bill as only one movie. He originally wanted it to be a full three hours with an intermission. Studio convinced him to cut in 2.
1. Reservoir Dogs 2. Pulp fiction 3. Jackie Brown 4. Kill Bill 1&2 5. Inglorious basterds 6. Django unchained 7. Hateful 8 9. Once upon a time in hollywood
Loving this series. Really hope we get Matty's take on some movies by a director that's just as much of a legend as Tarantino... Kevin Smith. Ok kinda joking, but I think he would love Dogma, Clerks, Mallrats, ect... And Red State is such a mood change and an amazing thriller.
Tarantino worked at a video store before becoming famous. That played a big part in his movie knowledge and being able to pull all kinds of nods to old stuff. Part 2 is a spaghetti western. I thought you was gonna say he did another camera shot from the trunk of a car point of view. That's a iconic shot he always does. Can't wait to hear Matty react to Part 2. Easily in my top 20 of all time and I love it more then the first. Bill is so top tier.
If I remember correctly, Reservoir Dogs was Tarantino's take on a Japanese movie, but I forgot the name. It makes sense that he's a movie buff making his own films.
Wow shoutout to Locke for getting my name right. Rarely happens! And if it makes you feel any better, my Paris roots are long behind in my ancestry. I live in Canada and can't speak a word of French.
In the Japanese version of Kill Bill Vol.1, the Bride's fight with the Crazy 88 is a lot longer, more violent and also in color instead of black and white. Still disagree with Matty's negative view on Aliens though. He praised T2 for the action having substance and character growth. The same thing can be said for Aliens.😆 For those looking for the uncut version of Kill Bill which combined the American and Japanese cut, there is a fan edit out there called The Whole Bloody Affair.
There's a difference between pretentiousness and indulgence, especially in the context of cinema. You mention style a lot in this review, that can be applied to more than the visual. Character, dialogue, structure, surprise... all can be, and often are, stylised in a Tarantino film
After watching several Tarantino movies I feel Matty has to check out From Dusk Till Dawn just for the fun of seeing Tarantino be one of the leads for a movie.
Always curious to see how folk who weren't born and raised on anime and kung fu flicks form the 80s and 90s receive movies like this that encompass all those things in one.
The two films are essentially one, which he split during editing. In his filmography, he regards them both as a single work.
I hope they actually read these comments.
You better not bad mouth this movie Matty!😂😂

He should make Kill Bill 3 then and justify it as not breaking his 10 film promise lol
Just an FYI - Kill Bill was filmed all at once and intended to be one film. When editing, the studio and Tarantino settled on separating into 2 films.
And they were released 6 months apart from each other.
Hello Shady 🌹
Lock didn’t even mention Daryl Hannah was Pris from Blade Runner..
@@ogshowtime7018 lol, I was waiting for it.
Cooper Bibaud made Heel Kick! Matty should definitely watch that movie. Shout out to Cooper.

Great episode!
Got my question asked!
I will always remember the first time I watched Kill Bill, one of my favorite movies aot
Please watch John wick to change Marty’s opinions on action movies. They effectively tell story with action, particularly John wick 3.
My man, how could you not mention to Matty that Daryl Hannah also played Pris in Blade Runner?
After watching several Tarantino movies I feel Matty has to check out From Dusk Till Dawn just for the fun of seeing Tarantino be one of the leads for a movie.
Please review Speak No Evil. It’s the most intense movie I’ve ever seen
Anime sequence was made to keep the movie rated R
Lock you didn't mention that Daryl Hannah was in Matty's favorite movie.

V for Vendetta
Get down with Charlie brown!
The fact that Lock is fan girling over Tarentino like me is awesome
Why would they put the cliffhanger in the 2nd movie instead of the end of the first one 😂
Colin ate at the restaurant in Japan with people from Sony
