In a clip making rounds on the platform, user ‘golf_girl21’ played a video on her TV of an emergency alert system claiming that nuclear missiles were about to strike the United States. According to the fake “alert,” missiles were headed for eight cities across the US and would be striking in just twenty minutes, causing the husband to get on his phone to warn others.

@@animeszene before there were TVs they did a first ever live action radio movie called war of the worlds, the acting and sound effects were so realistic that people listening in thought the world was actually under attack, so some people committed suicide so they wouldn't suffer the attack. The people who fade the show were in deep shit for the chaos they created.

I live in Hawaii and a couple years ago we had a real nuclear warning from Korea with nowhere to go and for 30 we sat it the living room praying because we all thought we were going to die. I was like 14
