my history teacher/football coach had a baseball bat he kept by his desk and used to tell everyone that if someone came in to grab something and beat them😂
I was in a real lock down but it was in my sisters building instead of mine but you were lucky to get a word on the clock because my school really says on the announcements “we are in a lockdown this is not a drill I repeat this is not a drill” as if they shooter wouldn’t know that we were hiding 🤦🏽♀️
I hope you were safe in that situation. Also the announcement instead of the time thing was because they knew that the shooter should know that they would be hiding no matter what even it wasn't a announcement because there would be some other way for the students to know.
My school started doing this thing where after they said "lockdown over" or whatever, you can't get out because the shooter could've forced them to say that. A little late to add that because it could've happened, but at least they have it now.

@@Imveepbeep same bc I had a broken arm once and it wasn't that bad tbh, I didint have school for a week 🤩, didint have to do the test and its nice for a face massage- the cons are that when your arm is itchy you need a tookthpick to itch it and you have to be really careful outside
That's what we're supposed to do in our school even if we're on the second floor at the minute because the teachers keep ladders in there room and a window key so if the window opens alarms and other things go off and the police are alerted I don't know how there going to announce something like that knowing that how we will act is us going to attack that bitch because we were just all cracked out and that just yah even if it's going against the school policy
Instead of having a sign or anything, a really loud siren goes off. It’s kinda like the type you would hear in a movie for a nuclear meltdown. It adds to the scariness and the anxiety. Plus it plays for ages! But I have only heard it during the practices because I live in a very safe country.
Fun fact when I was in third grade school had ended and they were Abt to let us out then as we were Abt to leave they told everyone to go back to class because we were in lockdown. What had happened is someone was outside in all black with an airsoft gun with the end painted black the teachers didn't know it was an airsoft gun until after he was arrested. That was definitely the scariest moment in my life
I remember in 5th grader we were told we had to have recess inside because there was a soft lockdown, at lunch, the secretary announced that we'd have recess outside and that it was all clear. The funniest part of this story was the reaction, everyone was screaming, "YESS!" also, my friend came back from the bathroom confused, which was funnier.
There was once a seven eleven down a few blocks from my school, I’m pretty sure the seven eleven got robbed but because we were in the same area of the Seven eleven we went on a lock down. It was terrifying.
I remember this one time in class an actual lockdown happened.I was scared for my life😞 the teacher told us about it ,we had to hide in the corner of a table,I heard knocking and then someone farted it wasn’t loud and all but I took it serious I thought it was the day I die, some of us laughed because of it. My mind was like “guys do you want to die today?” Luckily the lockdown lasted only 2 or 4 minutes. When I got home I told my mom. It was on a friday
something happened like this about a week after school started when i was in 7th grade. i was in first period art class when we heard something start ringing. everyone shut up because we are all nosy and wanted to know what it was. *it was the lockdown alarm* that plays on our teachers phones/computers. everyone was confused but me and the teacher were the first to catch on. i jumped up and ran to the lights and flicked them off while she instructed the kids to go into the supply closet. i hurried and followed them. the entire class had caught on but we were just whispering because we all thought it was a drill. but one of my friends said “guys it’s not a drill.” and that’s when we all realized we never heard an announcement saying it was a drill. (at my school they inform you if it’s a drill or not, if it is they tell you over the speakers, it’s it’s not a drill, they don’t make an announcement.) we all shut up and immediately texted our parents. we were in the closet for about a hour till the lockdown was over and we moved to a hold. (no one exits the building and no one enters the building.) it was one of the scariest days of my life. turns out a teacher heard gunshots from the nearby stadium, but it was just a random noise and not actually gunshots. the scariest part is, some of the teachers classrooms didn’t have their alarm go off and didn’t know we were on lockdown until they got the message not to leave after the bell because we were still on lockdown. which means if a threat was in the building before that message went out, they could’ve walked right into those classrooms…
@@susannaelinakallio-rh8pj it means there is an intruder in the building. And by intruder I mean someone with a gun or weapon that is is a threat to the students and staff members at the school. During a lock down the teachers will lock all doors and turn off the lights. Kids/students will likely hide under desks, against walls, or in a closet/other closed off space. The teacher will also hide, but after making sure all students are safe. The reason of this is for school shootings. If you don’t know that that means, it means a person has a weapon and their goal is to kill someone/people. So this procedure, most likely called a lockdown, is to protect the students from that intruder.
@@susannaelinakallio-rh8pjlockdown means there is an active shooter in the building and that every class in the building, and I mean EVERY class, even the principals office, should close the lights , lock the doors close the window and hide while being calm and quiet, and if you're brave enough, pull out your phone and call the police

Y’all are lucky that y’all get a signal, not a loud siren. Our teachers at my school want us to pretend we’re not there, BUT ITS KINDA HARD TO BC THE PERSON INVADING OUR SCHOOL WILL HEAR THE DAMN LOUD SIREN GOING “LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN”
So in my school they just installed sirens outside so anyone outside knows it’s a lockdown drill. And the side we have to hide on is by the door so the intruder really just come in and turn to his right and then we’re all dead.
That bell sign is actually very smart because at my school they have a loud announcement that says ATTENTION MIDDLE HIGH SCHOOL WE ARE NOW GOING INTO LOCDOWNNNNN like.. THANKS FOR LETTING THE SHOOTERS KNOW YOUR LOCATION
during 6th grade, i had got to school in the morning and mostly all of the 5th graders had been in the office, i was wondering what was going on and more people went to the office. i went in there to see what was happening and we stayed in the office until it was safe to leave. from what i had heard, a shirtless man with a knife was walking up to the school and got in. everyone rushed in and i was scared. some people joked saying "dude that was my uncle" but i was scared.
Story time💅: So me and my classmates were having lunch and suddenly the intercom comes on telling us “this is a hard lock down“ 6th grade was outside..kindergarten was with us to do we had to cram in one little room and one kid had to get in inhaler and our principal and assistant principal was there to and I was like “what's going on? What's happening?“ later I found out that there was a murder down the street so..yeah- Edit: MUM AM I FAMOUS???
Oof someone from the intermediate or our middle school aka 5th and 6th grade some kid sneaked their phone in the bathroom and called the cops saying they’ll blow up the school and posted it on tiktok 😂we where in lockdown for about 2 hours..😢
@@dontmindme2990 but the guy KNOWS everyone is outside, the alarm goes off, they turn off lights, etc, i would like that every classroom had like, a tool for that cases, so they escape through the window.
I actually had a lockdown in school in the uk (different than America cause it’s less likey to happen) But it was a short one, only one person had gotten in (on a non uniform day, with a knife) Honestly we didn’t know it was a lockdown drill at the time, and assumed it was just a kid on his last day ringing the bell
Mine the principal says lockdown 3 times and then we lock the door and hide, but like why don't they change the hiding spots because wont the intruder know where we be hiding? They were a kid once too and they had the same drills. If he says it 4 times or says it's not a drill, it is not and if it's 3 times or he says it's a drill, it is.
Our school is very old so the doors aren't automatic or anything, and the worst part is half the time there is nothing blocking the glass on the door so we have to tape paper in the glass as fast as possible. And if your in the hall you have to either hide in the bathroom or find a room before they lock them. We have had a real lockdown before and it's absolutely horrifying because there's nothing we can do. Sometimes even the phones go off and we be sitting like😭
Imagine hearing this in class: PRIEN PRIEN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, if you dont know what that is it is the American Alert, its also used for if nukes are comeing, Its spelled extremely weirdly
I remember back in 7th grade right before the bell rang for lunch, we had gotten an anouncment that a kid had brought like a gun or something, so we had a real lock down and we had to wait like 35 mins and I remember that everyone was skeptical about leaving the classroom right when the lock down was done, because they were afraid that the kid might get them. Thank goodness we were safe! Please hope that you're safe out there!
I remember me having one real lockdown to but the only difference was my teacher was completely calm and she said if anybody comes in the room she smacked them with a bat
I’ve had a couple of lock outs in my school. One time, we had a lock down, but it wasn’t a drill. It was study hall, and we were all freaking out, but apparently the announcer said it wrong, and it was really supposed to be a lock out.
I’ve been in a lockdown before- there was a robber with a gun nearby so they had a lockdown and we had to sit in the corner of the room with no clue what was going on for like an hour. My parents told me later that the place they worked was right next to the place that had an attempted robbing-
i would be really scared if something like that happened to me because my school only came prepared for a fire drill not like a murder scene in a movie or something
Fun fact. In my spohmore year I was in a math class but was too smart and fast for it so I was transferred into a higher math class. The first day there we were supposed to have a pretend lock down drill. The lights were still on and everybody was talking. Then someone looked thru the window and there was S. W. A. T cars and police cars outside. The teacher then received an email that it was a real lock down. And for 2 hours the lights were still on and everybody was not even whispering. I hid under a desk and texted my parents I loved them and texted my friends to see if they were ok. Luckily they were but we were all freaked out. To make sure it wasn't a prank I asked of there lights were off and they said yes. I felt like I was gonna die and this was only second period. The teacher then went on on how she was an expert on lock down and have been in several but only turned off the lights and then put up freken Mulan for the students to watch!!! 4 hours later we have police come in our room and everyone was escorted to the gym were backpacks would be searched. I was about halfway in line to get to the gym when we were told we could go home. The next day roomers were going around that one girl was looking at a janitor fixing a vending machine and thought that the key was somehow a gun he was about to pull out but later on it was explained that apperatnly the school had gotten a threatening email from someone saying they were gonna shoot at our school. But it was sent to the wrong school. But they way they we're explaining it really made no sence and 𝕤ounded like a fake story and I looked up the school later for any news about a shooting but there was none. Either way I don't believe any of those stories but ones things for sure. I didn't like going to that class ever since. But gald that everyone was unharmed.
Lockdowns are scary as hell, especially if there was actually someone dangerous in the school like what happened to me. I friend of mine (8th grade) died in a school shooting protecting a 6th grader in the bathroom where they were hiding. Luckily the 6th grader was not injured due to the police running to the sound.
We were in a real lockdown one day and in my little child’s mind I told the teacher we could escape out the window because we would go out the back to where the cops were and we were on the bottom floor so yeah that’s how we escape the classroom 💀
If this story is true, The teacher should not have lost her cool like that. It’s an easy way to scare the young children into panic. She should’ve kept her composure in front of them, And get the children to safety instead of worrying about only herself. When you take up the role as a teacher, you are expected to protect the kids from danger. It’s a very hard job if you don’t have the certain skills. Like knowing how to be a role model.
This happened to me! The story was, I was in the gym playing a game when the vice principal gets on the inner coms and tell everyone to “ *get in a safe area, they spot something or someone on the campus.* “Then we go into the back rooms (the office for my gym teacher) and keep in mind, I had a sub that day. We’re all so confused then they tell us “ *we’re in a lockdown. Hide your students and yourself.* “so we get into the real office, and everyone is shaking, and crying (including me, and I NEVER cry at school) and my teachers are closing the doors with jump ropes, chairs, and start grabbing bats, and when we get out, it was a man with a metal detector on our property, and we have a counselor come and and calm us down. That day was my scariest yet at school-
Well atleast you get told about the lockdowns in school i live in the UK i go to Pleckgate High School and they never do lockdown drills but once my friend tried to get into the school and accidentally pressed the intruder alarm and that was the first time we heard it and didnt know what it was and the i asked the teacher who was doing the register for breakfast club if that was the intruder alarm and she said yeah i was kinda confused cause we didnt know that our school had an alarm for intruders. I think they should do more practises or start practises for intruder/lockdown alarm so we know what to do i mean the staff are trained for that situation and we arent because the risks for something like a bomb threat,or someone to walk towards the school with a gun or knife or a school shooting to happen are less likely but incase it does happen we should know what to do.
one time in 5th grade, we were learning about the pilgrims, etc. And on the speakers, it said "shelter" and nothing else, my heart was like pounding.. so i got really scared because my teacher went back and fourth to the door, and her desk. she was looking outside the door, BUT it was just someone needing medical attention.
we had something a bit similiar, it was the end of the school year and we had to run away from the building bc someone called the school that there's a bomb
I remember in elementary school my principal would go on the loud speaker and say “this is [a soft or hard] lockdown, please take proper action.” soft meaning drill, hard meaning real. But when I moved when we had lockdown drills I’m my new school I was so weirded out because the principal went on the speaker and went “This is a lockdown drill. Lock your doors. Lockdown, Lockdown, Lockdown.”
We were at P.E. When we heard alarms from our speaker things, and our teacher was confused, so he went to the telephone which was in our schools hall, and called parent services. Me and my class were so excited, except for some of the girls, (they were crying) and we were told to stay quiet. Me and my friends were just sitting on the floor, talking, while some people watched bluey on the teachers Phone. Then, our teacher got another call, from the telephone. He was told to hide us, and himself. He told us to follow him into one of the storage rooms. It was a good thing, that our teacher wasn’t panicking. He stood closest to the door, and told us that if someone, bad, comes in, he would stand there, so that person would get him first. One of the girls, lets just call her, Jessica, was crying, while some other girls were comforting her. A little while later, the door opened. The person behind the door, was our principle. He said that it was a false alarm. I believe someone lied about the school being in danger. So he probably got in a lot of trouble.
OMG THAT HAPPENED TOO ME I was in 5th grade and our hall was combined with 6th and it was the GT pod or the green hall and some kid got his phone and said he was gonna blow the school too the cops and posted it on ticktok.. 😒 so THAT LITTLE B1TCH made us MAKE UP for math TEST and.. IT WAS 2 HOURS
NOT MY STORY A REAL LIFE EVENT: I was in math class when I asked to go to the bathroom, my teacher said yes and I slowly brought my phone with me, of course I just wanted to get out of it, when I got there I heard gun shots and rushed in a bathroom stall with a 6th grader, her shoe fell off and I had to shove it in the toilet so he wouldn’t see, I texted my mother like crazy, I wasn’t even thinking correctly and texted her: “help man gun man gun help shooter” she didn’t answer so I texted my father and he texted back right away, he started telling me what to do saying “stay calm” and “don’t talk” the 6th grader started crying and I quickly told her to stop then I heard the door open then a boy crawled under the door and was all bloody “I am unarmed” he told us as he lifted his arms “I have been shot” we tried making room for him when he said he would keep guard of our stall, we smiled and said “thank you” and told him we would make room for him when he needed, then the door opened and the man started pounding on our stall door yelling “HES HERE HE IS IN” me and the 6th grader (Maddie) stood silent and we cried silently, we both knew what was running threw both our minds “sorry so sorry death please” then the guy dropped dead and the shooter approached our stall and pointed his gun threw the crack in the stall door, he slowly pulled the trigger and we both held our hands together “I love you” we both said, even though we didn’t even knew each other until then, he pulled the trigger and we silently prayed, nothing happened, well to me at least, I looked at her and covered my mouth, a bullet hole was in her forehead, then the gun moved slightly, I was next, I started talking to him “why are you doing this?” I told him, he didn’t answer, “please” I told him once more “I have so much to live” he started to cry as well “I am doing it in 3 2 1” I jumped and he shot my arm, I screamed so loud he pounded on the door so that I could open it and he could kill me, I knew I wasn’t giving up that easy, then the man disappeared and the police had taken him he is now in jail, END. my quote for this is: even know you don’t know them you might be stuck with them for your last minutes on this cruel world, ❤
You guys could have turned the lights off and hide in separate corners. That way, the other kids in the other corner won’t be spotted. Maybe go in the corner where the door goes when it opens? Anyways, that is my suggestion on how you can survive a lockdown.
I go to a Christian private school and we have Alexas in every classroom and it’s actually a good idea bc the shooter who broke in can’t hear it! Anyways- when the lockdown is over, we have a code its something like “warriors, coast clear” or “warriors, the dragon has left the cave” (considering that we’re Christians and use that-) but like only the teachers can know but over time the principal finally tells us the code. I’m just glad I moved to that school bc I recently found out that there was a real lockdown st my old school and the shooter heard the announcement to hide. I’m just glad they’re safe! (I’m in middle school, after this summer I’ll be one more grade until high school! Wish me luck after this upcoming school year 😅
One time me and a friend were doing an essay in class just chilling then all the sudden “LOCKDOWN LOCKDOWN FOLLOW ALL LOCK DOWN PROCEDURES LOCK DOWN LOCKDOWN” and just kept going for like a few seconds then we had to cower up into the corners and behind desks and it was definitely a unforgettable day and lucky the shooter did not get on to our campus
One time in 4th grade (3year ago) A 9 year old boy in the class next door to my class has brought a bom or a gun and my principal had seen he was acting suspicious so she checked him and had saw he had brought a pocket knife ( very big one ) as a saw it as I was heading to the bathroom I ran back because I was so scared so I told the teacher and that’s when we went in lockdown and I could here my principal yelling and the boy had brought the knife up to her face luckily he was suspended that was the most scariest thing I see in my life
For my old school it would ring the bell five times in a row, once we had lockdown drill and as soon as the lockdown drill ended an actual lockdown was called. There was someone running around the school with a knife and throwing rocks at the windows. The teacher said, everyone keep quiet and stay where you are but me and my mate said "screw that" and hid under the tables. There were two groups of my mates, one of them got a table behind the computer so they can read what was actually happening, at that time we thought it was a drill. They threw a note across saying "ITS NOT A DRILL". I send back over" omfg whats happening" and they sent back "we don't know yet". Ten minutes later he send another back saying "SOMEONES RUNNING AROUND SCHOOL WITH A KNIFE" and then we heard a thud on the window and turns out it was the student with knife throwing a rock at the window.
It's always that one time where the alarm goes off and then it's false alarm. It keeps happening and happening, until that one time you alr know it's gonna be fake, but it's actually not and then we be studying in our graves😭 but like it's so dangerous I'd drop out if the alarm went off.
I was in 2 grade and we had a lockdown and i was home schooled but my school was 2 or 3 minutes away and the person with the gun killed a police guy and i was scared for all the people and teachers but all of us lived exept the police and all the teachers went to the funeral so im Lucky for being home schooled...
luckily for me, I don't remember having any actual lockdowns at school. we did however have a few "fires" which actually meant that someone caught the grill that was outside on fire
Why wouldn't the teacher teach the students about those hidden messages? I think it's a very valuable lesson for them to know, they'd have more time to react and be prepared.

I was walking down the hall from lunch. Minding my own business and then LOCKDOWN.

Do you know why there was an actual lockdown?
something happened like this about a week after school started when i was in 7th grade. i was in first period art class when we heard something start ringing. everyone shut up because we are all nosy and wanted to know what it was.
What is lockdown?

Yeah and plus that would tell the invader that there is people in the building 💀
So in my school they just installed sirens outside so anyone outside knows it’s a lockdown drill. And the side we have to hide on is by the door so the intruder really just come in and turn to his right and then we’re all dead.

during 6th grade, i had got to school in the morning and mostly all of the 5th graders had been in the office, i was wondering what was going on and more people went to the office. i went in there to see what was happening and we stayed in the office until it was safe to leave. from what i had heard, a shirtless man with a knife was walking up to the school and got in. everyone rushed in and i was scared. some people joked saying "dude that was my uncle" but i was scared.

MD PFP SPOTTED THIS IS NOT A DRILL
My school has FRICKIN so many lockdowns, these are the lockdowns that I encounter: practice, missing child, more practice and that’s it
I actually had a lockdown in school in the uk (different than America cause it’s less likey to happen)
But it was a short one, only one person had gotten in (on a non uniform day, with a knife)
Honestly we didn’t know it was a lockdown drill at the time, and assumed it was just a kid on his last day ringing the bell
lock the doors close the blinds
me: WERE GOIN FOR A RIDE
My school just has a announcement that is insanely loud and says “LOCKDOWN,LOCKDOWN” and it automatically locks all of the schools doors
Mine says: this is a drill/not a drill, this is a hard/soft lock down, take proper action
Sometimes even the phones go off and we be sitting like😭
We also have hold in places and at one point it transitioned to a lockdown and we were like NAW and hid behind the teachers desks
imagine you are in the bathroom then a lockdown happens
Please hope that you're safe out there!
now i know why people say in lockdown's "THIS IS NOT A DRILL"
I once had a lockdown in 8th grade that a teacher apparently accidentally triggered and I’m still angy about it to this day
I remember me having one real lockdown to but the only difference was my teacher was completely calm and she said if anybody comes in the room she smacked them with a bat
That’s really smart my school just starts saying THIS IS A LOCKDOWN LOCK UR DOORS NOW THE POLICE ARE COMING
I’ve had a couple of lock outs in my school. One time, we had a lock down, but it wasn’t a drill. It was study hall, and we were all freaking out, but apparently the announcer said it wrong, and it was really supposed to be a lock out.
Bro if my school had that I would be dead, all my teachers cover the clock with their projector screen 💀

Had my 3rd lock down of the year today. As you guessed, I live in the U.S. So many threats. They aren't scary they are just boring now.
There was once a lock down drill and teacher acted so real that I thought it was real and I started crying then the whole class looked at me🤣🤣
I’ve been in a lockdown before- there was a robber with a gun nearby so they had a lockdown and we had to sit in the corner of the room with no clue what was going on for like an hour.
But gald that everyone was unharmed.
the metal door at the end saying
"AN ACTUAL"
"LOCKDOWN"
Lockdowns are scary as hell, especially if there was actually someone dangerous in the school like what happened to me. I friend of mine (8th grade) died in a school shooting protecting a 6th grader in the bathroom where they were hiding. Luckily the 6th grader was not injured due to the police running to the sound.
My your friend rest in peace... Such a hero and I'm sorry for your loss.

To be fair tho, if there was a shooter intending to shoot people in the same building as you, you would probably do the same
@@AquaticDingle yea like do you really expect anyone to be calm during a lock down
One time we had a lockdown and a few days later I overheard another teacher telling my teacher that it was an actual lockdown
I think they should do more practises or start practises for intruder/lockdown alarm so we know what to do i mean the staff are trained for that situation and we arent because the risks for something like a bomb threat,or someone to walk towards the school with a gun or knife or a school shooting to happen are less likely but incase it does happen we should know what to do.

we had something a bit similiar, it was the end of the school year and we had to run away from the building bc someone called the school that there's a bomb
Then what happened was everyone safe??
I remember in elementary school my principal would go on the loud speaker and say “this is [a soft or hard] lockdown, please take proper action.” soft meaning drill, hard meaning real. But when I moved when we had lockdown drills I’m my new school I was so weirded out because the principal went on the speaker and went

Bro I think the shooters just heard your teacher crying in tears and Ohio stories be like: and they way it said bELL
NOT MY STORY A REAL LIFE EVENT: I was in math class when I asked to go to the bathroom, my teacher said yes and I slowly brought my phone with me, of course I just wanted to get out of it, when I got there I heard gun shots and rushed in a bathroom stall with a 6th grader, her shoe fell off and I had to shove it in the toilet so he wouldn’t see, I texted my mother like crazy, I wasn’t even thinking correctly and texted her: “help man gun man gun help shooter” she didn’t answer so I texted my father and he texted back right away, he started telling me what to do saying “stay calm” and “don’t talk” the 6th grader started crying and I quickly told her to stop then I heard the door open then a boy crawled under the door and was all bloody “I am unarmed” he told us as he lifted his arms “I have been shot” we tried making room for him when he said he would keep guard of our stall, we smiled and said “thank you” and told him we would make room for him when he needed, then the door opened and the man started pounding on our stall door yelling “HES HERE HE IS IN” me and the 6th grader (Maddie) stood silent and we cried silently, we both knew what was running threw both our minds “sorry so sorry death please” then the guy dropped dead and the shooter approached our stall and pointed his gun threw the crack in the stall door, he slowly pulled the trigger and we both held our hands together “I love you” we both said, even though we didn’t even knew each other until then, he pulled the trigger and we silently prayed, nothing happened, well to me at least, I looked at her and covered my mouth, a bullet hole was in her forehead, then the gun moved slightly, I was next, I started talking to him “why are you doing this?” I told him, he didn’t answer, “please” I told him once more “I have so much to live” he started to cry as well “I am doing it in 3 2 1” I jumped and he shot my arm, I screamed so loud he pounded on the door so that I could open it and he could kill me, I knew I wasn’t giving up that easy, then the man disappeared and the police had taken him he is now in jail, END. my quote for this is: even know you don’t know them you might be stuck with them for your last minutes on this cruel world, ❤
@Bot stopper this actually isn’t my story, I found this story on another short actually, it is a real life event but not mine.
Fun fact when the piece of paper with codes shows up you can see it says “saved by the bell” that’s referring to the code they see on the clock.

Me and my class giving desks to the tall kid to throw at the intruder
