Interesting to observe the use of cool and warm colours. The view outside looks interesting. Shame to be indoors. I agree about photographs ... the death of observation. Great video.
You are so good at looking at images and to communicate in a direct way what experience can be. Thats also Why I think that true experience always also has memory and even a bit of Imagination - as you quote “a whole Day goes into the moment” - and I am curious what kind of colors did you use? Was it oil? And what brand do you prefer? And do you use any medium? Thank you for all your inspiration on youtube
Hi could you tell me where this lady gives her painting lessons. i would love to come and see her. i live in France. i like when she says: stop before you want to stop. that's so true!
A lovely painting and demonstration. I hope you will make more.

Wonderful, thank you!

Bonnard, same as Vuillard, worked with photographs. Not all the time, but specially for painting his wife in the tub. Very few people know it.

Giacometti said it best; the more you work it, the more truly impossible it becomes

Did she block out the middle of the canvas because Bonnard would use tricks with peripheral vision?
