Ripper is the fucking man! To think if they hadn't came across the tape of him in British Steel we might never have either of the Ripper Priest albums, the Ripper Iced Earth, Beyond Fear, or his Solo work! Thank god the got a hold of it!
i have never understood the knock on Ripper. I thought he was great for doing what he did... stepping into Priest and killing it. Rob? no... but he was great. I myself needed Priest then. I was happy they found a great singer to fill the role of the Metal God if even for a bit of time. Tim kept Priest relevant, when they were doubting themselves without Rob.
I love how, for the final solo, Ripper is pointing at Downing while the cameraman moves his camera to the other side of the stage on Tipton. Should have learnt the songs before filming!
The only thing I never liked about the ripper years was that they downtuned all the songs. To me, that never made any sense. For the jugulator stuff, I'm fine with them down tuning because it was a heavy fucking album. But why downtune the classics? Ripper Owen's was literally part of a Judas Priest cover band. If you look up footage of the cover band, they are playing standard tuning. And he sounds awesome. Idk, I felt like if Priest played standard tuning for the classic songs, Ripper wouldn't get shit on as much as he does. The guy is an amazing singer!!!
Excellent! He did a great job filling in for Halford while he was doing Fight, Two and HALFORD. Ripper is an excellent singer, too bad he is so damn political and a douchebag when not performing. The 1998 'Jugulator' Tour should have been filmed and realeased, instead of the 'Demoliton' gig at Brixton Academy in 2001. The band sounded better and fresh in 1998. In 2001-2002, you could tell Tipton and Downing was "done" with Ripper.

semms you didnt hear any Robs live version of this song in 88
This was my very first Priest show. Fond memories!
That was not a Priest show. Priest is Halford.
I was there, it was a great show.

Amazing solo by Glenn
45 Years of Beyond the Realms of Death!
Great tipton solo

I SEE WHY ROB WHANTED TO COME BACK!! RIPPER WAS KILLING IT..........!!!!!!
Ripper had nothing to do with Rob coming back.
ripper is awesome, in some area's this song is a heavy madam blue from styx.?????
awesome
Cuando Tim ripper owens canta notas altas me recuerda mucho a Dio de echo suena casi igual, apuesto que usa los mismos adornos
Tipton misses a few notes in first solo....KK kills the second one.....truth

He did the best he could do despite being in the giant shadow of Halford. He should've never done the motorcycle intro though.
Nowadays he needs to get back in shape a bit, though his voice's still kicking ass.
tim ripper owens is great! halford too. but you can't say he's laughing of this, bullshit. judaaaaaaaaaaaas !
Rob Hanford twin brother
Who is "Rob Hanford"?
Good voice, sadly he doesnt use the stage ... Just stands around making awkward jestures
This is the most solid and perfect analysis I've seen in years.
It's tuned down too much
Ralf scheepers can really hit halford note....and fit in it much better than owen...
He can hit them, for some reason the band down tuned.
u have ears problem?
Feel a little sorry for him. Didnt really matter what high notes he could match. Can't imitate Robs voice.
halford is laughing his ass off at this
David Gomez. YOU mean taking it !!
He does this song live better than Halford does.
He is good But damn get your own song dude.
