My lash tech did open eye pattern on my hooded (aging, droopy) lids and it looked cat eye anyway. I don’t understand the optical illusion, but I love it.
So true I tried different lash artists where I’m from and they all seem to do the same thing to my eye shape they don’t bring out my eye shape it makes my eyes look more round and smaller than it is. I can’t find anyone who understands what I’m looking for so I have to just keep up with fake eyelashes all the time but it’s too much time too.
Aww babe! Thanks for sharing your experiences! Never be afraid to dm/text a lash artist and ask them if they know what would compliment your eyes or even tell them you don't want your eyes too look smaller or rounder! The right lash artist will always be accommodating.

Should I tell her that I want "reverse cat eye" or should i just tell her that I have hooded eyes and just do the "classic"? I'm scared she's going to think that I am being a smart ass since she's the tech haha
This is such a great question! As long as you’re polite and have good intentions, I think you should definitely say something! You could ask if she’s ever done a reverse cat eye before, or tell her you know you have hooded eyes and want something that will compliment them. The reverse cat eye is placing the longer extensions in the front and the shorter lengths on the ends. Hope this helps and you love your Lashes!
Those aren't hooded eyes.Yes,tell her or him . I told my tech exactly what I wanted.And it's been weeks now ,but I have hooded eyes those are not 👆🏼.Bring pictures or videos ,it's your money.
i have deep set hooded eyes. what would you recommend in terms of curl and length? I think i have D curl right now but they literally brush my brow bone non stop whether im blinking or just have my eyes open, which is so annoying because everyone else talks about how they hardly notice their lashes!!! but also i am not sure if any of this changes the fact that my vision is obstructed (lol) or the fact that the regular volume seems SOOOOOO dense. like will lengths and curls change that too?
Awww lol. I want you to love your lashes! If they’re touching your brow bone, they may be a little too long. And you could ask your lash artist to try a C curl on you instead and use my reverse cat eye mapping on you! That way, it’ll bring out your lash line and give better results ❤️

The reverse cat eye lashes bring out their lid and give an illusion of more space where the regular cat eye makes their eyes look even smaller. If your eyes are more droopy than monolid, a regular cat eye look would probably be best because it lifts your eyes instead of something like an open eye or baby doll look.
Her hood isn't as *deep* or monolid like others, but she definitely has a hooded eyelid with less eyelid space than someone with more open or almond shape eyes.
Virgo 69 for strip lashes, I would recommend any type of cat eye or gradually longer towards the ends and wearing them on the opposite eye. Like the one for the left on your right eye and the one for your right in the left. That’ll give the same effect that I describe in this video. With hooded eyes, putting the longer lengths in the inner corner and shorter length at the outer corner - will really bring out your eyes and not make them look deeper lol. Hope that helps 💕

this is exactly what i tried explaining to lash techs when I used to get extensions!! my eyes look bad with regular cat eye longer lashes on the end!

About 6 weeks if u take care of them i always fill every 4 weeks in summer 6 weeks during the winter/fall (hot weather makes them shed faster
