      I'm glad this video was helpful. I know making fans can be frustrating. I recommend to take a volume course especially in person because there's only so much you can learn from videos. Having someone guiding you in person teaching you things correctly makes it so much easier. But at least you have this video to help you if your trying to learn on your own. I do have an updated video coming soon.

      Yes that method is called crystalizing. And no if you use the smallest amount of glue you should be perfectly fine. Lots of artist do this method, it helps to keep the fan open so it doesn't close when placing it on the natural lash. I never have any issues with too much glue. I have a video coming up all about this topic.

    Hi love! I appreciate your video so much. I’m having a bit of a difficulty with the pinch method as far as my base goes. Once I pinch, my base isn’t flat so it’s hard to place it on the natural lash. My fan will be made perfectly but the base is the issue. Any tips? Thank you!

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад +4

      The base isn't supposed to be flat. It's supposed to be layered so if you were to pay attention the bases should be onto of each other forming a perfect round base. Good glue is what helps keep the extensions on the lash.

    I thought the tweezers had to be held in the middle of the fan and at least half went into the glue. Somehow it seems to me that only the top goes into the glue and that it is a small area for such a wide fan. I beleive this Is the right way ,but I supose that st the and you need to thight all thst togetjer eit some fixator to stay.How long does this upgrade take and is there a video of how you make the correction.

    I’m currently learning to do lash extensions! I have such a hard time making fans and want to know does the base have a sticky residue for it to stay together? Or you just have to pinch enough for the base to come together?

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад +4

      So if you using lashes that have a sticky residue those are called easy fan lashes and me personally and not a big fan of those. When I 1st started those what around so now that I tried to play with them they are such a headache. But definitely a good thing if you are struggling to make fans. Easy fans already have a residue that when you pull them off the strip advance by itself. Me personally I don't like lashes I thought I prefer fans that when you pull them off the strip they spread out easily. And a good lash will not have residue on the Base Easy fan Then that is not a good lash. Your lashes easily have to come together when you pinch

  • @eventingxstars
    @eventingxstars 3 года назад

    This video helped a lot! The only thing I’m struggling with is getting the base to stay tight together after I’ve punched. When I release my fingers they aren’t a small fine base. Is this to to with how much or how little pressure I’m applying to my pinch rather than my tweezers hand? Hope that makes sense 😅 x

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад +3

      It all has to do with your tweezers m if your bases aren't staying together it's probably because the grip of the tweezer is not that good. You should be squeezing those tweezers for dear life after you make your fan and if your bases aren't staying together then that means the grip isn't good. It can also be that you need more practice in pinching to be able to get those base to come together as one. Try changing your tweezer and see if it helps if not it just means you need more practice. But hang in there just give it time.

    I have a hard time getting the bottom of the lashes to hold together when I do the pinch method, do you have any advice on how to correct that?

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад +3

      Hey hun. So a lot of factors could play out on why your lashes are not holding together. Rather your lashes are not good. Sometimes lashes from certain brands just don't hold it together. I don't know what it is about them that just make it so hard to fan. Another thing could be your tweezers. If you're using tweezers that you normally use for classic sets that could play a big role on why it's not holding the fan in place. And honestly if you're barely learning how to fan it just comes with a territory of getting the method down. Sometimes it could be that the lashes are sticking to your fingers so when you take off your fingers from the lashes it slightly moves them with your fingers if that makes sense. It honestly can be a lot of things but I recommend trying out a new tweezer that hasn't been used on classics and seeing if that helps and just play around honestly you're going to struggle the first couple weeks on trying to do a fan but it's normal because we're not used to it period and if you see that you're still struggling then try out different lashes and see if it was the lashes that weren't working with you.honestly I can't really tell you exactly what it is that is going on because I'm not there to see it. but if you notice that it's just the outer lashes that are moving apart and not staying in place then I highly recommend to try a new tweezer. And just have that specific tweezer for your volume fans. And if you notice that it's still doing that then personally send me a DM on Instagram and I'll walk you through it. But let me know if changing out the tweezer helped out a little bit. Hopefully that works for you. Lmk 😘

      What tweezers are you using? Sometimes the grip isn't right that the lashes are just going all over the place. A good Tweezer with a great grip holds everything in place. If your barely learning it's ok to struggle. It'll take a couple weeks for you to get the hang of it but with a great pair of tweezers it'll definitely make your job easier. This method does the factor of base on eyelashes glue that’s come from factory is it matter or it’s by the pinching technique that make all of the eyelashes stick together? Ps.I’m a new eyelashes artist and learning how to do

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад

      Well there's different ways to make a fan. I personally like the pinching better. But it does help when lashes are good quality and fan out easily. Some lashes have too much glue as the base and get all sticky and don't fan try to avoid lashes like those because it will make everything so much harder. I know that there are easy friend lashes that are meant to be glued at the bottom that way they could fend themselves out when you pull them off the strip but me personally I don't like those they make everything so much harder for me I guess because I learned the hard way easy fan wasn't around when I started and now that I'm trying to learn how to use them they're just so difficult. But those lashes are meant to be sticky at the base. Have you taken a course by the way? They should explain all this in your course on the difference of the lashes

      They are sticking together because I'm controlling the pressure on my tweezers. I'm using loose based lashes. So you need to make sure you have high quality tweezers with an amazing grip this will help you keep control of your fan opening up and the base coming together.

    This may sound like a silly question but I've never tried this method because my left hand is isolating. How do u pinch and place? While your right tweezer is holding the fan, do you isolate with left tweezer?

    • @SDrizzDsk
      @SDrizzDsk 3 года назад

      Pinch first, the isolate with your left, dip and place.

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад

      yes normally i like to isolate fisrt so i know extactly what las i want to lash then i go and pinch make my fan and the i go and isolate again and then i dip in glue and place the extensions. Youll have to train your left hand to learn to isolate by itself but it helps when you isolate first at the begining because that lash will be a little seperated when you go back in. It feels like more work but once you leanr how to pinch as you go youll realize that its alot faster.

    Im struggeling with pinching the shorter lengths (7/8). Any tips?

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад +2

      When it comes to shorter lashes it just depends on where your holding them with your tweezer and how your pinching it. I recommend to use the tips of your fingers and to hold the lashes a little bit higher from the base that way you have enough room to work with the base. If that makes sense. And take it slowly. Don't rush fanning it since they are so little it can be frustrating fanning little lashes.

  • @bridgettgulley6641
    @bridgettgulley6641 4 года назад +2

    How does the lashes end up facing towards your finger when you pinch? ( hope you understand what I’m asking😭)

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  4 года назад +3

      Hey Hun. So when you pinch you want to slightly release pressure from the tweezer and the tweezer should guide the hairs to fan out. Usually the wider you want the fan like how I was doing them means you have to pinch more until you get that desired look. It has alot to do with how much you pinch but also you have to have control of how much pressure your releasing from the tweezer. I hope that made sense. Keep practicing it. And if you still can't get the hang of it lmk and I can make another video going more in depth.

For megavolume lashbox la has amazing tweezers. I'm doing an updated favorites video if your interested in what tweezers have been working for me right now.

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад +2

      I recommend that if you're barely learning how to pinch pinch softly. Once you get into the habit of knowing how to pinch then your pressure will get a little harder because you're used to it. But I don't recommend starting out rough because your lashes might go all over the place if you don't have control of the tweezer. So pinch it softly until you get the desired look that you're going for. Small movements are the best way to go about it if your barely learning.

    I know these fans are for the sake of the video, but are those too big to actually put on someone’s lash? What’s the max number of individual lashes for a fan that can be placed on a natural lash without damaging it? Thanks for the helpful info!!

      I am wondering the same thing too

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  Год назад

      No they are not too big to be placed on a natural lash. It actually all depends on the diameter of the lash on how big you can make your fans and also your clients natural lashes. If they have thick long lashes they will be able to hold more weight. If they are thin and fragile and small you'll have to make smaller fans. If you don't understand volume or fans I highly recommend to take my online volume course. I also have a megavolume course and I go into detail about fan sizes and weight. If you sign up to my yoyis plus membership which is only $19.99 you will get access to my online courses for free and you'll get certified upon completion. For more information click the link below.

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  Год назад +1

      You're most likely using easy fan lashes. With those type of lashes they come pre glued at the base so it's hard to work with them depending on the brand you're using. I recommend to be using loose based lashes because you'll be able to have more control of them and guide them in the direction you want them to go

    • @destinyfigueroa7583
      @destinyfigueroa7583 Год назад

      @@YoyisLashBeauty yes I believe that’s what’s happening because my certification class came with Pre-Mades, easy fans and classics. I heard pre-maxes are never used because they don’t give the same effect as a pro-made fan. So I’ve been trying to make my own fans with my easy fans lashes but the base is always stuck together and it’s hard to spread the fan out no matter how much I pinch them. Should I just look up “loose base” or is there a certain term for loose lashes. I finally found the perfect tweezers so now I just need to learn to create fans and I figured there was something wrong with the lashes I was trying to practice with because all the videos showed lashes getting pulled off the strips and being able to see the individual hairs but mine is just grouped together and sometimes it even grabs some extra hairs from the tray due to being stuck together

    • @YoyisLashBeauty
      @YoyisLashBeauty  3 года назад +3

      Spikes are unfanned fans. You pretty much pull a couple volume lashes off the strip like if you were going to make a fan but don't fan it out just dip in the glue and place on the lash but remember "spikes" are the longer lashes that you add first to give the set that "strip lash look" and then you go in with regular fans but shorter lengths to fill in the set. Spikes are aLOT easier to do than fans because your not doing anything to them. Spikes should be 3-4mm then the filler(fans) lashes

      They shouldn't fall apart if your dipping them in the glue. If that's the case your glue is a slow drying so your going to have to hold the fan and wait for the glue to completely dry before you put it down.
