Great job as a lash tech I am very impressed at you precautions! They look beautiful it’s amazing how you are able to isolate like you did! Great explications just wanted to share precautions below but you should definitely look into doing lashes!!!!! :) Anyone doing this please be careful !!As a lash tech myself I know it is very important to be careful with this type of glue that can cause chemical burns on your eye. There is a reason clients have their eyes closed through the procedure. If you do these on yourself and end up not isolating each lash or think you do but then release the lashes before the glue completely dries the lashes will stick to others or together and that’s how your lashes fall out and you won’t be able to brush though then since they will be stuck also making them fall out. Lashes grow at different stages if one is ready to shed but it’s stuck to another it won’t be able too. You also need proper placement if it is not on flat or directly on the lash and ends up twisted or sideways when you brush it can get stuck and pull out your natural lashes. You also want to make sure you are not applying lashes that are too heavy or long to your natural lashes this will also have your natural lashes fall our due to the weight. You can not apply the lash too close to the lash line this will cause irritation to the skin and can also cause styes and infections. These glues are labeled for professional use and can cause people to have allergic reactions due to the high fumes. The tweezers are also extremely sharp and can cause severe damage around the eye. Please remember pretty lashes aren’t worth chemical burns, infections, loss of natural lashes or allergic reactions. I don’t mean to come after anyone especially her since she was pretty cautious I just want everyone to keep their safety in mind especially with the current situation please be careful hope my tips also helped!
Great video - also the fact that these are actual individual lashes and not clusters that people call “applying individual lashes!” They look really well done too x
My eyelashes are already long and full. But my extra self loves it dramatic. I do this too. I almost DIY everything now. From nails, haircuts, facials, eyebrows, tanning glow, teeth whitening and Brazilian wax, you name it. 😁👍🏽😍
I do my own nails 2 It’s nice doing things ur self put some music on and have some “Me Time” What do you do for teeth whitening Sry off topic lol but I want to learn 😬
im a lash tech of 3 years! i noticed you mentioned that contacts can act as a “barrier” this is actually false - fumes and other toxins can get trapped behind the contacts and create further damage :) hope this was a good tip ! happy lashing !
Yes as a cosmetologist and instructor for 33 yrs you do not want to wear contacts while doing these on you or anyone else very dangerous but her application was beautiful
WOW!!! I am a licensed Esthetician & Lash Tech. This is the first video I have seen of someone doing their own (true single) lashes. I am very impressed how well you where able to isolate your lashes. I'm sure it lots of practice, I also can tell you know lashes and how to care for them, great job.
Thank you so much for actually doing individual lashes instead of just putting them below the lashes. This gives me confidence in doing my own! I love my lash tech but its starting to get expensive for me every couple of weeks. In this way I can do it on my own time.
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth. I just want to say real quick while this is great that you have figured out how to do it yourself- we need to take back the “contacts will protect your eyes”. There are videos out there you can find where they show how the lash adhesive fumes essentially melt the contacts. Always recommended to take them out before doing lashes
I’ve decided to forego attempting this myself, but I do find that your video was the most well done, informative, and professional for those who want to try.
Hi me too. I am clumsy and may poke my eyes with the tools. I wish I could do it like her. However I am using lashfy . It’s just a piece of cake and any one can do it. So easy.
This is a great video, I decided to wear single eyelash extensions (I never had lash extensions) and followed your tutorial step by step and put them on myself! It's pretty straight forward, all you need is patience and a good zoom x5(minimum) mirror! The result is that they look very natural since my friends can barely tell the difference!
Wow I have a new respect for lash techs. I didn’t realize what they were doing when I went in for my appoint. They are awesome and make me feel relaxed and then in no time they are done and I look fabulous but I could never do this myself. You’re video is great though I can tell you’ve had a lot of practice!
This video is so incredibly informative! I’ve been practicing doing my own lashes for months now (quarantine things) and wear contacts so that it doesn’t burn my eyes. I had a optometrist appointment recently and I was so glad to know my eyesight didn’t get any worse from doing this almost every week 🤣
Do not wear contacts when you’re applying lashes like this bc the fumes can actually stay on the contact and trapped underneath, therefore on your eye for longer, causing irritation
Agree with the other comment as a lash tech myself we always ask the client to remove contacts before application due to this reason! It’s so dangerous
Thank you for the video! I have saved hundreds by doing them myself! Plus I don't have to wait for appointments, I can just go home and fill them whenever I want. THANK YOU! 😊
I do my own lashes but i'm also really nearsighted so I unintentionally apply a fiber to 2 natural lashes sometimes. The idea of using straight tweezers really helped me out, thanks for the great tutorial!
I’ve watched my 25 year old do them on herself for some time.. and they look amazing.. and now watching your video.. was just the added info.. and angles I was looking for… one of the better videos I’ve watched. ❤
I’m so excited to try this on myself! I bought all the products and I’m just waiting for it to be shipped. I’m a licensed lash tech, I did it as a hobby a few years ago, although I would go to other girls to get them done! If I can do it on myself I’d be saving SO MUCH MONEY as now prices have gone WAY up since I started wearing lashes about 9 years ago. I’m super excited 😊
I got mine "professionally" done yesterday, it was the second time because the first time she did it they only stayed on for 3 days. lol My "professional" job she did frickin looks like your BEFORE!!! I went to the whole cosmetology school long time ago just never finished the "hours" so I'm training myself to do this. I bought all the products and I'm going to fill in what she did hopefully mine can look as beautiful as yours. WOW! Thank you for posting this. You should become a tech because you're really good at it, I too like mine 8-12. She didn't listen to me say that either and put all the same length along the whole lash which I don't like. So I'll be adding in my 8-12 on the million lashes she didn't put anything on 😂 and that is the last time I'll ever be going to her. She's my new friend so I can't complain but I WILL be replacing her with myself. HAHAHA
This is very informative, good thing i saw this video and started subscribing. I've been a lash tech for more than a year now and I've been using LLBA lashes. I love how you did the isolation. For other lash techs Just be careful on glues you are using, some are not sensitive type and might cause irritation. I use also adhesives from LLBA, hey are hypoallergenic very safe for sensitive eyes.
Im really thankful for this Video. I bought a whole Set for a lot of money month ago and i tried to glue the lash es on one Eye closed, it was terrible. But i want to try it again with your Video!
This video helped me alot ! I'm experienced Very little with doing extensions at home ! But I shortly gave up !! But this gave me faith again ! I just ordered the products you suggested in the bio . They're coming in the mail soon !! I'm hoping I can really do this ‼️ I have steady hands and patience .
Hello! This is my first visit to your channel, but I just wanted to make a special point to thank you for your informative presentation! I have not worked as a lash tech, nor a cosmetologist, but I'm looking to start my own makeup channel someday. I wanted to thank you and show some appreciation for your respect for the risks involved in the process and all. I think that's very wise and courteous of you. I like to get my lashes done professionally, and I just sort of fill them in with the "lashtensions" Available nowadays in drug stores. I am figuring That those kits must involve Essentially the same materials used by professionals..? Lashes are my favorite part of cosmetics, and mine have become pulled out and brittle by now, and I'm not sure if it's true they don't grow back ..? Eeek !! ❤but thanks for hitting on thoughtful key points throughout!! Good stuff
Wow! I agree with everyone's compliments to your technique. In addition, I am impressed how you can keep your eye open for so long. I'm scared to put sharp objects close to my eye but maybe I should try this too! I've only ever gotten full eyelash extensions done and eventually stopped going because of how often my eyes irritate from everyday activities. Mascara is a hard cleanup job and doesnt provide the appeal of lengthening that extensions are named for. Wow... I really need to rethink what I'm going to do but will keep your video saved and in mind for future attempts if I can muster the courage and time to put the effort. Definitely considering it... just based on how easy you make it look!
Thank you so much for this!! I missed my refill appointment this week, and I’m not paying for a full set again! Now I can refill them myself and save some money!!
This video was incredibly helpful, thank you 😊 I am cautiously looking into doing my own at home and want to get as much info as possible because I don’t want to get it wrong!
Can't thankyou enough for this tutorial. I was about to wing it and do my own with my new kit and thought no I should just check how it's done. Glad I did because this made it so easy for me.
so amazing.. i’m going to try this, i’m trying to save my money🥺😭 i’ve been getting lash extensions done for 7 months straight, and it can get expensive!!
Definitely going to try this on my channel! I’ve been looking everywhere for a good lash diy video...& this one has been the best, most informative one!!! I think the prep is so important so I’m glad u emphasized that in ur video 😍😍👏🏼
Lash tech in training here! This is a great video the only thing is you should never wear contacts while getting lashes done because the fumes from the glue can make the contacts seal to your eyeballs 👀
FINALLY a tutorial without lashtite! Definitely trying to tape up top method, I keep not getting the lash close enough to the natural lash base because I can’t see lol
BEST VIDEO OUT THERE! Thanks so much! I'm 72 and have been blessed with some descent eyelashes, however, I have one area, which I see will take only one single eyelash. Questions, will the new lash, as it comes out, push the glued eyelash out or off? Or will I carefully (as you showed!) have to remove the glued lash from the new growth lash? Thanks again for the great video!!
Tbis definitely would be easier with the premade (not the chunky clumps by Ardell and others) fans. There are three strand ones that would look light and pretty
Yes as Ann stated and like I stated in my video, try having a fan blow in your face (just a slight breeze) that should help a little and if you have contacts, wear those and it will help a lot! You may also just need a different glue that has less fumes.
Omg just seen her reply to this....Don’t wear contacts! The fumes will dry them up inside your eye and it will get irritated and red, it can be so dangerous!!! This glue is really too strong for personal use, and you can get serious chemical burns doing it like this with ur eyes open sadly. This glue is meant for professional lash techs only. I would recommend Ardell express lashes instead x -lash tech
Whew I did my own Individual extensions at home and that glue MESSED ME UP!!! 😭😭😭 my eyes were itchy and puffy and all that!!! Funny part is I was vlogging that weekend. So I was able to record it! It was kinda embarrassing but I posted about it anyway on my channel
The lash glue dries really fast, even slow drying dries in 3-4 seconds. You should prep first, use an adhesive ring (just don’t tip it over) and apply the lash within seconds otherwise it’ll be 60% dry by the time it goes on your lash, leading to horrible retention. They will fall off a lot more quickly. Also, you have to do research on adhesive because you could really hurt your eye if it’s open and exposed to the fumes. I was a lash tech for 7 years and I never tried it on myself because it’s just too risky and not made to be done on yourself. I’m impressed by how good your look though! :)
If u can’t get hold of eyelash removers , I use hair conditioner to remove my lash👁, just apply it and let it set for 4/5 minutes just to make sure it remove safety.. 🎉🎉
Ahhh I wanna do this but I have really bad blindness in my left eye. Like I can see things but not in any detail. So I feel like if I do my right eye and need to open my left eye to see what I’m doing it’s gonna be a hot mess. I need a monocle 😂😂😂 or maybe the triple zoom mirror I have might help idk. On a daily basis I can live without glasses most of the time cause my right eye is good but it might be a disaster
Can you please tell me in detail if the individual lash is going on your natural lash as you mentioned but can you please tell me once more about this I am new and confused
It is cheaper but it's definitely not better 😂 i am only looking at this because i can't get an appointment with any good lash stylists. I am a lash stylist myself and don't want to pay for a bad job 🙄 so i was wondering if it would be possible to diy at all anyhow and obviously it is 🙌
Great job as a lash tech I am very impressed at you precautions!
Thank you for the insight! Always love learning new things especially from the pros
Totally agree with this comment!! No hate towards this video but I think it’s important for people to know your vision can also be at risk
OMG I loved this!!! I'm a Lash Artist as well and loved that you said this. It's really important 💖💖💖 safety first!
Do you do your own lashes? And do other lash techs do there own sometimes you think?, or no anyone who is a tech that does personally to you?
Great comment for anyone looking to do these themselves, now they know the do’s and don’ts and how to apply them. Thank you!
agree girl, it saves us a loooot of money!
i should do this
Ayeee me too
I do my own nails 2
It’s nice doing things ur self put some music on and have some “Me Time”
What do you do for teeth whitening
Sry off topic lol but I want to learn 😬
How you tan yourself and White ING teeth?
im a lash tech of 3 years! i noticed you mentioned that contacts can act as a “barrier” this is actually false - fumes and other toxins can get trapped behind the contacts and create further damage :) hope this was a good tip ! happy lashing !
Thank you for your advice Rebecca! This whole DIY process is definitely all-in-all very risky!
I thought the same. But I still think this duy was pretty awesome. One of the best I've seen.
yep true i learned in school it can actually burn the contact in ur eye. My teacher said ask the clients to remove the contacts before
Yes as a cosmetologist and instructor for 33 yrs you do not want to wear contacts while doing these on you or anyone else very dangerous but her application was beautiful
Is it even save to open your eyes while applying the lashes?
WOW!!! I am a licensed Esthetician & Lash Tech. This is the first video I have seen of someone doing their own (true single) lashes. I am very impressed how well you where able to isolate your lashes. I'm sure it lots of practice, I also can tell you know lashes and how to care for them, great job.
Thank you Justine for your kind words
hey how long do they last?
Love your positive feedback!
Thank you so much for actually doing individual lashes instead of just putting them below the lashes. This gives me confidence in doing my own! I love my lash tech but its starting to get expensive for me every couple of weeks. In this way I can do it on my own time.
I'm so glad I could help! With just a little bit of practice and investment into the products, you could save so much money in the long run :)
Will start practicing my own as well

Thanks for the visual charts. Definitely enlightened me and I understand how to pick the curl and sizes now, even the names of styles
So glad I could help!
@@HearttStringss yup, just bought my kit🤗

ITSS SOOO HARDD. I just did my own. My left eye was perfect but the right was a MESS
HB I just did mine too and used the Stacey lash for sensitive eyes, it’s held up good so far!
I did this and my lashes are crispy because od glue 💀
i’m gonna do mine friday when my materials come in omg
I wanted to attempt to do mine myself too but I’m like this may be a mess lol
What glue did u use? The fume of the glue of using was too strongg. It hurts
This is incredible, my shaky hands could never
Lol that’s what I’m a tab bit worried about
😆

How did you get on? What products did you use?
You already have a beauty eye shape but the after results make them look enhanced but natural. Really good job. Thanks for sharing your knowledge

You have incredibly steady hands wow I would not be able to do this without a visit to the ER
Lol! That's funny!!
Thank you very, I have just plugged my lashes and they're beautiful.
I agree with all of the comments...this is the best DIY lash extension tutorial I have seen. Nice job and thank you!
You are the sweetest, thank you Tricia!
Just when I make the perfect placement and release, lash sticks to tweezers, ugh, this is so hard but I will keep trying.
I SWEAR! Im always either waiting too long or too little
I am impressed. It is very professional 🥰
Good stuff
Great job 😱 I'm a lash tech and I could nevveeerrr do it my self I always go to another I do hers and she does mine 🤣
Excellent video! Thank you so much for taking the time to post. This was extremely helpful. God Bless, Jul
finna do my own lashes. I have never done single lash extensions before, but I have faith that I will be able to do them!
Those gorgeous doe-eyes! This video was really well done. 🌞
They look amazing 🤩. Thank you so much, I’ll be trying it ❤
Great job! I suggest using synthetic lashes. You can get the same beautiful lashes without causing the very real suffering of the mink (:
These are faux mink :)
I do this for about 6years.. still can’t live without
what glue would you recommend?
What glue?
Just ordered my kit coming in later today. Wish me luck 🤞🏽🤞🏽
hows it going?
"If you're a lash tech please don't come for me."😂this lady is so cute
Thank you so much for this!! I missed my refill appointment this week, and I’m not paying for a full set again! Now I can refill them myself and save some money!!
This video was incredibly helpful, thank you 😊 I am cautiously looking into doing my own at home and want to get as much info as possible because I don’t want to get it wrong!
Can't thankyou enough for this tutorial. I was about to wing it and do my own with my new kit and thought no I should just check how it's done. Glad I did because this made it so easy for me.
"Lmao please don't come for me" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
For reallll tho HAHA!
Thank you for this. Waiting for my Lashes to come in the mail, watching as many vids as I can
Where can I get those single lashes ? and glue ?
so amazing.. i’m going to try this, i’m trying to save my money🥺😭 i’ve been getting lash extensions done for 7 months straight, and it can get expensive!!
Definitely going to try this on my channel! I’ve been looking everywhere for a good lash diy video...& this one has been the best, most informative one!!! I think the prep is so important so I’m glad u emphasized that in ur video 😍😍👏🏼
Awh thanks so much Pamela
Lash tech in training here! This is a great video the only thing is you should never wear contacts while getting lashes done because the fumes from the glue can make the contacts seal to your eyeballs 👀
One of the best videos I have seen for diy lash extension!
I appreciate your kind words! Thank you for watching
This is by far the most informative video I’ve watched! Thankyouuuu
wow you're doing great job. so talented
Thank you for your sweet comment
This is so much work😭 this is why i always tip my lash tech i give yal props 👏
People act like becoming a lash tech is so hard to achieve. It isn't. You did amazing
This was very good and helpful! It answered some questions I had on picking the right kind of lashes and how to.prep for it. Thank you
Best video I've seen on individual lashes! No cluster lashes and bonding glue; I don't want to go eye bald 🙃
Ah thanks so much, glad it was helpful :)
I'm purchasing everything you have listed here & giving it a go! I'll be back with my final conclusion! Wish me luck! 🤞🏽
Best of luck!!
Did u give it a try??
@@simplylilly9284 I did & they turned out very well for a first timer! I have a photo of what I did, if you want me to send it to you?
@@HearttStringss I aced them! Thank you for your tid-bits!
Omg. How did it go? Ive been wanting to do it on myself. 😢
FINALLY a tutorial without lashtite! Definitely trying to tape up top method, I keep not getting the lash close enough to the natural lash base because I can’t see lol
Well done and thank you I’ll definitely be doing mines
This was such a really detailed and clear tutorial. Thank you 😊
Omg, so detailed 😍
do not wear contacts when doing this. the fumes can mess up and ruin your contacts.
How will I see 😭😭
Lil Em ^^
@@lilem4140 if you're not long-sighted then looking up close from a mirror in front of you should be fine.
Not if u have daily contacts lol throw em away anyways lol
BEST VIDEO OUT THERE! Thanks so much! I'm 72 and have been blessed with some descent eyelashes, however, I have one area, which I see will take only one single eyelash. Questions, will the new lash, as it comes out, push the glued eyelash out or off? Or will I carefully (as you showed!) have to remove the glued lash from the new growth lash? Thanks again for the great video!!
Tbis definitely would be easier with the premade (not the chunky clumps by Ardell and others) fans. There are three strand ones that would look light and pretty
Def, that would be considered a volume set. Those premade fans are a little more expensive I believe, but worth it to save time :)
You did an amazing job, I’m gonna attempt to do this 💙
Don't know if this is a dumb question to ask heh. But how long can I keep them on? can I go to sleep in them?
Great video, thank you! I always have one eye that loses lashes on the outer edge, and I want to fix it myself
Excellent video, great tips as well. Thank you!
They look amazingly natural. EXACTLY HOW I DESIRE. No lash tech will give customers what they request lol
Thanks bc these lash techs never know how I want them exactly.
So you just apply them ONTO your real lashes w/o touching your skin and not onto the skin like with fake eyelashes (not individual ones) right?
Yesss. Youre applying the single lash extension right on top on the natural single lash, and a few mm away from your skin/lash line
@@DazedDreamsss can you use ordinary eyelash glue? like the one that comes in a package that you buy. hope you understand what i mean 😅
Very thorough and well put together video! Thank you so much for making this!
Very helpful video. Thank you so much
I tried to do this before I came across your video. My eyes could handle the fumes from the professional glue.
Does this glue give a burning sensation ? I tried doing this and my eyes got too watery and I just couldn’t continue
try not to put too much glue on the lash. and have a fan ready. blow ur eyes once you feel your eyes burning.
I would recommend Ardell express lashes instead x

Wear contacts for protection & it helps a lot ‼️‼️❣️
Genessa Fair Never do this! Contact lenses have to be removed for your own safety!
Love ur tipz.... gurl u got skillz... i tryed doin my own and itz not easy... 🤙🏽
Beautiful job-I could never do this. Once you get older and can’t see it would get really difficult unless you wear contacts. That’s where I’m at now.
Quarantine gave me time to
Be DIY Queen 😈😈😈😈.
Me too 🤣
My eyesight is really bad in my left eye so I can’t do this :(( I’ve tried but can only do my left eye. Yours looks great!
You did such an awesome job👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Awesome job! This was motivation for sure!
You did this girl!!! Thank you for this video 😍🗣
😢😢 Thank you! ❤️
@@HearttStringss 😩❤🙏
Whew I did my own Individual extensions at home and that glue MESSED ME UP!!! 😭😭😭 my eyes were itchy and puffy and all that!!! Funny part is I was vlogging that weekend. So I was able to record it! It was kinda embarrassing but I posted about it anyway on my channel
Always do a patch test before hand (for the new people reading this)
Lol I watched your video earlier today. Fancy seeing you here. Lol
@@soleiljolie70 Aww that’s so cool! Lol thanks ❤️
Looks like ur very own lashes, pretty & well done.
what does it mean by isolating lashes? i don’t really understand how you place the individual lashes, could you give any tips? great video!
If you have a fan blowing on yourself the entire time does this dry the glue before you place it on your lash?
Thank you!! I’ve almost never seen an actual professional do themselves, every tech I’ve ever been too has gone to someone else for Their lashes lol
you did such a great job. I could never have that kind of precision and patience.
If u can’t get hold of eyelash removers , I use hair conditioner to remove my lash👁, just apply it and let it set for 4/5 minutes just to make sure it remove safety.. 🎉🎉
This looks beautiful!! Don’t think i have the patience to do this though 😩😩
On a daily basis I can live without glasses most of the time cause my right eye is good but it might be a disaster
have you tryed the anime lashes style? would look awesome on you. but i dont know how to do it!
Can you please tell me in detail if the individual lash is going on your natural lash as you mentioned but can you please tell me once more about this
I am new and confused
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼good job I’m doing the same try to save money
This is 100% better and cheaper than going to a professional, especially when you order those lashes from China. Ardell has the best glue!
It is cheaper but it's definitely not better 😂 i am only looking at this because i can't get an appointment with any good lash stylists. I am a lash stylist myself and don't want to pay for a bad job 🙄 so i was wondering if it would be possible to diy at all anyhow and obviously it is 🙌
You should shake the glue and don’t put the extensions on close by and lashes all at one time, they’ll stuck up together
Thank you, I totally forgot to mention in the video that I did shake the glue. Very important!
Xao Vang why is it important to shake the glue
What is the best way to put it above youre natural eyelash or under 😦
Is the glue safe to use with your eyes open I saw I the website it's for professional use.
