Hey Mike, the Hydro-Shear if after topping off the oil don't make it work it could be a bad seal. For a $5.00 seal flip it for a grand. Just my 2cents Bro. Good haul none the less. Awoooo! 👍✌👊

yes Mike, what he said ^^^ this is way too new to have anything major wrong, plus made in USA, it's something simple and cheap, either seal or not enough fluid

Yes for sure seal and some fluid should be perfect someone proprobably tried cutting something too big and blew the seal out of it simple fix I've dealt with these before it's almost always the seal and oil some of them also have a pressure release valve that will stick open too
pell hydrashear cable cutter ! check oil level , access is under the metal tag on the top !
On the hydro cutter it needs hydraulic fluid it also needs to build pressure before it starts cutting

I found a fountain like that. Told the old lady I found her a surprise. She had been looking for one for a while. I replaced the pump with one I had. Works great. And she is happy.

That hydro pump might need to be bled. Could be air bound
DONOT mess with the spring brake. The spring is so strong it could do harm. I have worked with them for years.

Hi Mike👋🏻! The Fujitsu Scan Snap S1500 is AWESOME desktop scanner. I used these at my work and always told everyone if there is one tool I would NOT be without it was my scanner. It scans your documents very quickly and saves them to your files. These even scan your photos too! If it is broken try to troubleshoot it. You won’t go wrong!!
Check the vent plug at the upper right corner to see if it is tight, or blown out. If it doesn't tighten, that could be your problem. Also check the oil level. Please update what you find out.

Mike, on those heavy things (orange plastic coated) you could cut the plastic with your electric rotary saw and have a heavy bunch of iron. Philippe in Bradenton, FL
That was definitely not iron. Probably stainless.
Could someone please tell me why I find these videos addictive? This is the second guy I watch. Glad they are keeping all this stiff out of the landfill.
Mike I use to do the same thing in the 80s I miss Houston grew up in bellaire and sugarland left for Tyler in 96 something comforting about watching you go through dumpsters crazy the treasures you can find . By the way the white thing with the hoses is a space ship probe kinda like in war of the worlds be safe mike

The metal pipes that you found under the bed, look to be part of floor jacks. The holes in the pipes are used to tighten them up

That hydraulic shear probably needs a good service . Change the oil and some seals and she's good as new. Good haul mike. Stay safe. 🏴

Hi Mike. That white glass (?) bowl type thing is a vintage part of a cake mixer and has value. I know they break and people want them to complete their mixer sets.

Those are fisher price vintage walkie talkies for young kids. Those boxes have values as an antique items.
You should carry a box of business cards in the truck or have some post-it notes printed up with your contact info for things like that compressor.
Be super SUPER CAREFUL with that "spring brake"!
There's a really big spring, under a lot of tension in it!
You can use one bolt through the hole in the end to release it. To open the cover. But be REALLY CAREFUL doing it!

Several things in the bottom of the box people will buy. One was an egg separator from Tupperware. Those tips in cake decorating kit sell for a buck each at a yard sale.

When you find odd things like those optical cables you should take some pics and ask your yard specifically if they would take them ☺ you never know.
I’ve asked my yard here in London about them a while ago. They said they were a pain!! People bringing them in thinking it was copper cable and then dumping it near the yard when they said they didn’t want it.

Mike at or around 39:31 in that box of kitchen stuff is a plastic orange old school Tupperware egg separator. It looks like a spoon with small slots around the top. Crack an egg in it and the whites spooge or overflow through the slots.
I wouldn't have taken the compressor either unless I was positive it was free to take. Try everything to find out though before someone else gets to it.
Be carefully with that spring brake it has a large spring caged inside it that could take your head or arm off if it should split open.

the orange stuff is a submarine optic fiber cable for high capacity, not so old

Check the fluid in the cable cuter. You also need the cutter for the end of the piston.
You know somebody's going to take it if you don't take it it's crap it works take it home with you but if you leave it somebody else is going to grab it LOL

All you need, to fix your fountain, is an aquarium pump and it will work again. They are pretty cheap, and then you have a water fountain!
Coax and 18/2. Called Siamese cable. I used to pull that stuff for cameras before they went to ip.

It basically is a bottle jack. I probably just needs new seals and fluid.
16:40 glad hand air hose fitting for large Truck: turn the glad hands off, put the threaded brass in a vise. With both hands pull the spring away from the brass fitting, which now reveals plastic hose, put on wood block and chop the hose with a small axe near the fitting which will now have an inch of plastic hose, take a knife and deftly skin it off next to brass then pull rest off with pliers. Easily pull steel spring off now chopped end of hose, nothing stopping it. I find these all the time in dumpster.
I reckon it just needs fluid or some sort of calibration, the hydraulic cutter.
I know this video is 2 years old but I have to say, on your fighting with yourself on that compressor. You can see what looks like a red tag on the plug wire which could have made it garbage and had you checked that (I assume you didn't, beings we didn't see or hear about it in the video) It may have confirmed it being red tagged and ok to take. Always gotta get that big picture my friend, always check around, check everything! :)

Most if not all hydraulic equipment I get just needs some hydraulic fluid . The slotted screw between the handle and valve is where you fill it up,open the valve all the way then just push the cutter all the way in before filling.

The shear probably needs hydraulic fluid, probably shipped upside down, leaked, probably low on fluid.
Not to mention it could make short work of tearing down some scrap.
That compressor is DEFINATELY in the trash .. I would take it . Fair game ..
