hey why don't you try inferno reckless summon in cyber dragons, for me it worked, best card in my deck, i very rarely brick with it like 10% chance for fail hand tested, ofc I play 3 in my deck.
@@hotshooter10 I wouldn't play Power Bond, it's not a good card for competitive play sadly, although it can certainly be fun :) Imperm is not a good hand trap right now, so I wouldn't really play it. But it is a good generic hand trap so it will come back to being good at some point again, so your money isn't wasted on that!

Haha ya, ever since I started playing the Dragoon package, I decided to just try 42 (essentially trying to make up for the two completely dead cards in Dark Magician and Red-Eyes B Dragon), and it kinda just stuck! I don’t know how familiar you are with my channel but early on I also did some simulations of 100,000 opening hands with the 42 build and I was satisfied with the numbers I was seeing (e.g., proportion of times I can make Infinity and Dragoon, how many useable hand traps I drew, etc) so I kept with it. When I play a pure list without Dragoon, then I do stick with the usual 40!
@@HakunaMyData If I played the dragoon package in a 40 card build, ik I'll lose some flexibility with the tech cards I have to my disposal, but would I lose consistency in making dragoon and infinity? Also ik it depends on the situation, but what cards are typically sided out when you side in the 3 summon limits?
Nah, realistically the percentages don’t differ too much. If you want to go with 40, you totally should! As for siding Summon Limit, Pank would be the first to go since it’s a going second card. Then it really comes down to which hand traps that may not be useful for the match up that would get taken out (or the backrow hate cards if it would be useless). I never take out any engine cards for Summon Limit!
Hey! Love your videos man! I don't know whether this may be something worth experimenting with but what do you think about using union carrier and constellar pleiades as a possible way to search hand traps (union carrier to equip lancea and then pleiades to bounce to hand). I initially was thinking of how I could make lancea searchable as that does so much work against a lot of decks but do realise that other hand traps could be added to the hand in a similar way. It does take away from the possible end board of dragoon + infinity sometimes but was hoping for another more experienced opinion on if it could be something worthwhile. Just an idea that was in my head haha! Again awesome video and happy new year!

Thanks man! I wouldn’t recommend Mask of Restrict or Iron Wall. There’s plenty of other good going first options, like Dimensional Barrier, Different Dimension Ground, or the Artifact package. I think Summon Limit ideally you need to have 3 of, but I totally understand that sometimes you’re limited to what you have. You could do something like 2x Summon Limit and 2x Dimensional Barrier in the side if you have room :)

Yup, so some players (more so those playing the trap build) have tried playing 1 Cyber Dragon Drei instead of the Soldiers. That could be a budget option if Soldiers were a bit pricy :)
I would say so for sure! You should check out one of my recent videos where I test Pot of Prosperity in this deck. I need to do more testing now that it’s legal, but so far I have loved the card :)

Of course! I’d probably just play more hand traps instead like Skull Meister. But you may want to have 3x Dark Ruler in the side then! Just my thoughts.
why no monster reborn? at the very least switch cyber revsystem with it (although i understand if you prefer it to be a more limited but searchable option)
I tried Monster Reborn briefly but found myself always siding it out, which meant I could live without it. I wouldn’t take Cyber Revsystem out as it allows Core to become a one card Dragoon
I know some like to play Drei but I generally only see it at 1 rather than 3. I personally prefer the Galaxy Soldier route but I know in Cyber Trap builds I see Drei being used here and there
I actually never ended up playing Cyber Orcust myself, although I did have some interest. I know Team Set Pass had a profile of it a few months ago, so that's a starting point if you are interested but of course a little outdated!

Imperm isn’t really good right now, I’d suggest you use other hand traps if you don’t have droplets. Something like Skull Meister!

Instead of skull meister could ghost ogre be used
I would say Skull Meister is much better, ghost ogre isn’t seeing any play right now

Budget options for dragoon’s
You can just play the traditional extra deck monsters like Constellar Pleiades, Cyber Twin if you play Cyberload Fusion, and another Rampage as well!
