Wow! You did such an amazing job on how you thought outside the box using Tula Pink latest fabric line. I bet Tula Pink loves it also. Thanks for sharing.
Cork fabric would make incredible stoppers for some of the jars. The ones that aren’t too busy would be excellent candidates. Love this Tula Pink fabric. Hope I can find some before it sells out!
Thank you!! I am working on a similar quilted wall hanging for my daughters classroom. She teaches forensic sciences. You answered a few questions I had. Thanks again!
Some great ideas here, and as Beth Cooley states, it could be changed into a more girlie quilt with make-up bottles etc - it's always good to share ideas, for whatever is going on in your life - thanks Rob and your great production team, for some great inspirational videos :)
I’m buying the fabric for this right now! I’ve only made a Bargello quilt so far and some small piecing projects but I’m hoping my skills will be sufficient for this cause I’m in love with it! As a scientist who’s obsessed with Halloween, this is the perfect quilt for me :) thank you for the pattern and tutorial!
I love this. It is so fun. I have a daughter and grand daughter that would love this idea. My daughter is a tattoo artist as well as a talented artist in several mediums. I can't wait to see where she goes with this. Thank you for sharing.
Oh Rob !(sorry I could not resist) I love most everything you do. This was particularly adorable. I bet your kids think you are the coolest Dad ever and you probably have "killer" halloween parties. Keep up the great tutorials!! You are wonderful and unique. God Bless:)
Great quilt Rob🤓. Did you get a chance to use any glow in the dark thread???? I didn't know how I would use this fabric till now. Thanks for a great idea as always.
First time, my central auditory processing disorder makes sense. Instead of Robert Kaufmann, I keep hearing rubber coffin, which fits the theme of eyeballs, skulls and the mad scientist vibe of the quilt :) I might make one with added dragon details for my niece, if I find time... Wish me luck.
I tried buying this fabric this weekend for a wedding quilt for my daughter. I couldn't figure out the scale of the faces and I couldn't decide on my favorite designs or colors. I wanted to use them all. Before all Tula's fabric disappears can you answer a question for me. What would be the best size cut to get so I get complete faces and skulls? I think they have quarter yard cuts along with the regular pre cuts. You don't have to read the rest I'm just excited about this fabric. Thanks, Gale Did the big faces that size come one per fat quarter or more in a fat quarter. I want the fabric designs to show without being cut so should I get quarter yard cuts or will I get entire faces and skulls complete on fat quarters? Like I'm sure the 2 1/2" strips have only parts of the faces or skeletons. Does that make sense. Maybe it would be easier to ask approx. size f a face and a skull and are the entire skull or face on the fat quarter or do I need to buy yardage of everything I want to "fussy cut"? I realize this question is probably confusing but I don't want pieces of faces or skulls. Their wedding was black and purple leather and lace and he's a heavy metal rocker and her tattoos are metal rock album covers and her entire side is a beauty of the Heath Ledger Joker. They are an awesome couple and can't you see this in their house. They love black, dark purple, and green. I could send a pic of my first quilt before I knew what I was doing. It's all her band Tee-Shirts in a Tee-Shirt Quilt with crazy fuchsia batik fabric that I thought reminded me of her brain activity while listening to her music. If you got this far now you really know how crazy I am and also crazy about this fabric. Love your little Thumbnail Pic. You looked like a Crazy Science Guy For Sure lol
I bought the fat quarters and there were 3 full faces on a fat quarter. There were four rows of skulls with 6 in each row. The skulls are 4" by 3" wide and the faces are about 5" x 4" without the artwork around them.
Applique is my favorite thing because of the same reasons like you, mix, cut, invent new shapes, use of different fabrics, OH MY!🥰
