Matt I don't paint , I'm into drawing monochrome etc... but I am surprise that the person can paint well but miss the dark color in the pupils of the lady, he clearly made here pupils lighter and missed the roundness of her face which is chubbier.. my question is it that difficult , given that he paint very well.. to notice that the original has darker pupils and rounder face, which to me, not expert, seem more important than the shadow blocking etc.. I mean if it obvious to me without having painting knowledge.. could this be how far tunnel vision affect artist after working many hours on a piece for long. the Nose highlight might be difficult to alter.. but making her pupil darker would be easier though.. it maybe a good example of tunnel vision.. though the person is very talented.
