I agree it was a horrible embarkation. I’ve never been in cruise terminal where employees where not present welcoming you and directing you to the next station or which way to go. I was shocked when no one welcomed you guys onboard and then changed your rooms without notifying you. I’m glad you guys were able to push thru and enjoy your vacation.
I have a feeling the cruise line used the corona excuse for everything. From the hours and hours of videos I've seen of cruise line reviews, MSC is one of those oddballs: it's always "hit or miss." Some days they're so good that Royal Caribbean should be very worried. Other days, they stink worse than a wet dumpster in the Texas afternoon!
We passed you and your family waiting at your door. You were very patient and friendly despite circumstances. Great example for the kiddos. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the cruise despite the trouble.
This is not the first report I have seen on MSC that tells me "nope." I've been on three cruises this year and in ever case I was on the ship within fifteen minutes of starting to check in. Kudos to two very well behaved children.
One thing that I recently learned is the MSC Cruises parent company is one of the largest container shipping companies in the world. So, I guess it makes sense that their customer service skills are at 0, because the containers never complain! lol
Initially seeing your headline I assumed that it was just clickbait to get more views but I learned a good lesson. It appears that you and your family DID have a horrible embarkation experience. I would like to congratulate you and your family for handling it so well. Not sure my husband would have been as calm. Great video. You got another subscriber. :)
I have been in MSC before 3 times, no complaints at all, smooth cruising from the beginning, all out of Miami. Seashore is a new cruise with new technology, it might be the employees were no ready for the new system. Thank you so much for sharing. You have 2 beautiful, smart and well behaved girls. 🥰

Great video.... it's good to see....when things don't go well.....sometimes it aint all going to workout well....even on vacation. Yall handled it very well....I know some folks would have been screaming and shouting. Yall wasn't even greeted well when you finally got to the ship.. .and then yall got the wrong room it's too much....thank goodness they got your bags together. 🤗 The energy was high....yall was ready....for a vacation and I felt it. 🌴
Omg I couldn’t believe how hard it was to board. The thing that took the cake, is when you all were not greeted when u all boarded. I don’t think I ever seen that on a cruise. Absolutely Ridiculous!

I have been trying to decide whether to give them another chance. I will watch the rest of this vlog series before I make that decision.

As for spending time on the balcony it was pretty much minimal, balcony is kind of a waste for us because we don’t sit out there much but that’s just us.

My embarkation on Seashore on 11/27 took almost 4 hrs. We got no lunch and no buffet food until they said safety briefing was done...dinner time. Worst embarkation ever. Probably worst cruise line of all...MSC...Then missed a port stop and got back to port late, disembarked 4 hrs late and had to cancel a second cruise because couldn't make it...no compensation from MSC.

Wow! That’s ridiculous! Cruised out of Baltimore on Carnival last week. We were on the ship in 45 minutes. We were greeted & celebrated from arrival. Ate lunch & explored the ship. Our bags were at our door when we finished. I’ve heard too many bad things about MSC to cross it off my list. Good video! Thank you! ❤️xoxo❤️

We just booked a cruise for May 23. We have a 7pm Embarkation? 7pm! I have never been on a cruise with a 7pm embarkation time. I guess we don't get dinner? I am ready to cancil this cruise already.
I cruise MSC Meraviglia this pass September ( Solo ) and check in was about 20 from the time I got there. Its a beautiful ship and I loved the Cigar Lounge. I'm thinking about the Seashore next, balcony prices are reasonable

Watched your video and was reminded that at least 5 years ago someone told us that MSc was not a customer friendly company. I had totally forgotten. All big companies benchmark other companies to see what they are doing and explore ideas that can help them be better. They need to listen to their customers. MSC is a big company but they don't realize many big companies are no more because they didn't keep up.. We have gone on about 20 cruises and they have gotten better and better. I will never go on a MSC cruise and we won't even consider going until I hear improvements are made on the internet. Your video cost them thousands of dollars and saved me anxiety, time and money. Going on a jazz cruise in February plan to have a good time.

I'm older and just glad that in these covid times, I don't usually travel with children anymore. I give you two credit that you know the rules, what you need, and you do what you need to do as efficiently as the system will let you do it. I totally agree that MSC needs a more efficient system for checking in passengers.
I could feel your frustration through the whole video. You made it clear that I better pack my patience. I'm considering booking the Seashore immediately following my sailing on Norwegian Prima. My adult kids and I just did Carnival Cruise 1115/21-11/20/21. We all did our rapid test 24-48 hrs before. Was on ship in less than an hour. I feel so bad that your family went thru all that. I thought about a MSC cruise for us. So glad we didn't. Kudos to you for patience 👏

I got frustrated just from watching, especially 'cause I really want you guys to enjoy your MSC experience! Thanks for showing the real deal details! Hello Rich and Jazzy. Found your channel and I'm sailing MSC Divina in February. Its good to see how you dealt with the embarkation. While I'm sailing solo, its always a learning experience to see what others deal with.
We left on the Meraviglia same day. Our embarkation was as long as yours. But we had a couple of people along the route guide us and they were handing out wristbands at the gangway. A little spicy water later and everything was great!
Poor baby girls, had to get those pesky nose swabs, they took it well though. ☺️❤️ So sorry about your long waiting experience family, thanks for sharing!
We just sailed on the Disney Dream in early December and it took 1.5 hours from pulling in and dropping off bags, everyone get Covid test, getting cleared and boarding the ship. Getting off the ship was super easy - it took 10 minutes - we were close to the last group to disembark.

Greetings from NC/SC...Not sure what's going on with MSC...They have been cruising out of Miami with the first ship being the Divina since Fall 2013...We cruised it Sept 2014...We had an amazing time...Haven't cruised with them since but been seeing a lot of unhappy cruisers with them lately...Hopefully the rest of the cruise experience is better...

I would've died. Took us less than 5 minutes to get on the Edge. Granted, no kids and only 800 sailing Thanksgiving week, but there were 80 children and we didn't see one line anywhere. The girls are so cute and fabulous, just like Mommy! Hope you had a great time regardless.
This is crazy lol. We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise last week and it was a super organized and efficient boarding process even with kids who were unvaccinated

We just took a Royal cruise over thanksgiving and it took us about 3 hours from the time we got to the port until we got on the ship.

Wow! I've had great experiences with MSC, but I have to agree that your embarkation experience was frustrating! I got frustrated just from watching, especially 'cause I really want you guys to enjoy your MSC experience! Thanks for showing the real deal details! Let me tell you though, once you guys got into the RIGHT room... lol... I loved the vibe, and I could feel you guys starting to unwind... I literally laughed out loud after "How did she get here, Royce? She knocked on the door!" 😂😂 I hope the rest of the cruise was great!

Hello Rich and Jazzy. Found your channel and I'm sailing MSC Divina in February. Its good to see how you dealt with the embarkation. While I'm sailing solo, its always a learning experience to see what others deal with.

Just did disney and we arrived tested and jumped on the ship in less than 1 hr. Sad for y'all ♡ hope it bounces back
We left on the Meraviglia same day. Our embarkation was as long as yours. But we had a couple of people along the route guide us and they were handing out wristbands at the gangway. A little spicy water later and everything was great!

Yes we hate it for them but they do so well for their age
We just sailed on the Disney Dream in early December and it took 1.5 hours from pulling in and dropping off bags, everyone get Covid test, getting cleared and boarding the ship. Getting off the ship was super easy - it took 10 minutes - we were close to the last group to disembark.
Just got off the dream today, took 10 mins like you said. Amazing!

Greetings from NC/SC...Not sure what's going on with MSC...They have been cruising out of Miami with the first ship being the Divina since Fall 2013...We cruised it Sept 2014...We had an amazing time...Haven't cruised with them since but been seeing a lot of unhappy cruisers with them lately...Hopefully the rest of the cruise experience is better...
They have a lot of positives, but some things to work on too

I would've died. Took us less than 5 minutes to get on the Edge. Granted, no kids and only 800 sailing Thanksgiving week, but there were 80 children and we didn't see one line anywhere. The girls are so cute and fabulous, just like Mommy! Hope you had a great time regardless.

This is crazy lol. We went on a Royal Caribbean cruise last week and it was a super organized and efficient boarding process even with kids who were unvaccinated
