I’ve been ‘inspired with Dominic’ for a long long time. Kudos to you for your diligence. I like how you find a way to correct even the most simplistic errors... and actually correct them too!
Thanks so much for showing the "mistakes" at 6:48 and how you fixed that. I find that so much of my time is used in correcting these teeny little problems, and it's nice to see both that 1) I'm not alone in this, and 2) Your solution.
That is the best shout-out I have ever had. I feel the need to frame it, or put it on a t-shirt. Thanks so much, Kevin! We may be doing this for almost as long, but you are the one doing challenging and intricate builds and finishing them (eventually). And you do not have to resort to a shady Cult to make his videos mildly interesting. Also, your end products are usually much prettier than mine. (To think I almost missed that one for lack of notifications. The bell has been rung.)
What are the holes in the table saw top? They’re look like shallow recesses part of the design and you filled them with loose boards. Wondering if pouring some resin epoxy stuff in there would be effective way to deal with it. Enjoying series of project assassinations so much.
Yeah the wings on that saw had one section of open web. It was amazing they had cast iron wings at all at the price point they sold those saws at. I just filled it in wood to keep stuff from falling through.
Great video ! I see the 45 did not go down to 44...What gives LOL I have followed Dominic for about a year now and I like the kid. Kinda like a fungus LOL I am in the 22% crowd :)
@@krtwood I am not feeling eager to count my unfinished projects.. I have unfinished projects in other states too, how do you suppose I count those :) How many new projects did you think of when counting the unfinished projects? Have a great day ;)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Touche'! 😅 Love the tally system. ♥ Great fixes. You are such a delight and call it how it is!! Love that. Peace and good fortune and good health to you and your family. 👍
I like the idea of you suggesting other channels you like or take inspiration from. That being said, I feel Dominic's delivery comes off a bit too much to the point where you lose focus on the project being made. Your humor always tries to make lit of the situation but the end work is top notch and I can tell you have both a respect for your tools and an end product you are aiming for.
He's making the videos he wants to make and I don't think he has any ideas of being a big RUclipsr or making money off it. It's just a passion project for him. While you will hear a lot of RUclipsrs complaining about negative comments, the worst response you can get is apathy. I think that's one of his best put together videos and it wasn't getting any views. If what little sway I have can send him a few hundred views and that gives him a little extra energy to put back into what he's doing then that's what I'll do.
Like any self-respecting fungus, I tend to lurk beneath the surface. And what comes up is either very tasty or very poisonous. I guess I took that analogy a bit too far.

I feel your pain, what a pain! I'm nearly done with a jewelry box I finished at least 9 times.
I'm afraid to count all my unfinished projects. Hats off to you for your honesty and for sharing this journey with us. You're a brave man.

Glad I could send a little inspiration your way, and we all know the cult only hangs around you because they have nothing interesting to do otherwise.
We didn't watch you sanding. Most of us fell asleep earlier and the video played through. ;)
No one watched my videos. Lol! Glad you've got so many subscribers. Also great to see you're open to sharing mistakes so others may learn.
Guilty as charged for watching the sanding ;), of to make Dominic famous!

I use to watch Dominic all the time, then he disappeared for a while. I have been watching more of him lately.

That was a new project so it only moved finished number.

I've been subscribed to Dominic for a long time, but haven't watched lately. I'm going to watch just because you asked.
a clean cap is a happy cap! :)
You should see the dirty one.
wait... you fixed all those drawers. That means you should be decrementing the 45 right? Right? Squirrel!
I noticed the same thing Art. Did Kevin add a project simultaneously to his unfinished list while he finished one? :)
Board went up to 46 so that he could make the numbers, then back down to 45 😂
I started working on them but the number doesn't change until the boxes are all done.
Thanks fir sharing!
"You guys are pretty messed up" Haha, I've been going about interacting with my audience all wrong this whole time. :)
Just subscribed to Dominic. Thank you
Yay!

The unfinished number count should have gone up one by making the project counter display 😂
Me encantan ver como van progresando esas tareas pendientes, sigue adelante!
Progress has been made!
Just curious. Have you ever considered using resin? Nice way to use up all your scrap wood and creating unique and interesting works.
I was using resin back before river tables were even a thing.
