I grew up in the 60s and Star Trek was a television show that I rarely ever missed an episode. I can still remember the excitement I got at the beginning of each broadcast. Shatner and Vic Morrow from the TV series 'Combat' were both my favorite television heroes.
Not a bleep mentioned of his TV Show T.J. Hooker which ran for four years in the 1980's, (a year longer than Star Trek) and which launched the career of actress Heather Locklear.
'The fear of being alone', which is exactly what I'm going through right now and it's a slow death. In the end it really doesn't matter how much money you have, it's worth nothing if you have to spend it all alone.
A person can be alone even with someone around you, especially when illnesses happen to overtake a relationship….I’m dealing with that one, hubby and I are holding our own, but at times we both feel like we’re alone….its hard to explain but it exists…😩😥🙏🏼
Came back to this post again. This really does need to be fixed. The only right way to do that is to take down completely what made it all happen, which IS the damn internet period!!
As with leaves on the trees, we all shall be returned to the earth. For him, let's hope he makes that final journey on the starship Enterprise and goes where no man has gone before. Goodbye my friend. You will be sadly missed. But, never forgotten. Live Long And Prosper.
I was riding with a experienced termite tech who drove past one of his residences that was along the coastline somewhere between Carlsbad and La Jolla. It had a large *S* on the face of the garage attached to the house. One of his phrases in the Star Trek franchise movie "Final Frontier" was, "I always known I'll die alone."
Melanoma, indeed, can be a highly aggressive malignancy, but it is not necessarily fatal, especially if detected early, so let's hope Mr. Shatner had a timely diagnosis to ease some of his fears. I could not wait to see each episode of the original Star Trek Series and could never fully accept "The next Generation". Live long and prosper Captain Kirk !!!!
I pray that he will beat this cancer I loved the original star Trek I know that he and George are the only actors left from star Trek losing them will be losing part of my childhood God bless him
Well if this is the road to the end, the man has had one hell of a full life here on earth. I'd be pleased if I was in his position. Getting a cancer diagnosis is a tragedy when you are young with many years ahead of you. When you are 93 it's basically death by natural causes.
You left out his phenomenal music career. Greatest Christmas album ever - Shatner Claus! And who could ever forget - Invasion: Iowa? He did everything!!
I'm sorry but the picture of William Shatner as a toddler, with his date of birth, is not Mr. Shatner, it is Leonard Nimoy. You can find it under Leonard Nimoy's pictures. The date of birth is correct. Thank you this was a nice video. LLAP
Obviously there are two separate types of cancer that Shatner is contending with, melanoma in other words skin cancer and prostate cancer. Neither of these are what any man could normally handle even half William Shatner's age.
Immuno-therapy cured my metastatic cancer which like Bill's began with Melanoma. I had it in about 30 places in my body back in 2019. I now have a clean bill of health.
No mention of the Startrek movies. Covered his marriages two times. Otherwise, it's interesting with a lot of details. I am a big fan, I find him wise and interesting.
No one he worked with ever had anything nice to say about him. He never turned down work and always insisted on being the highest paid actor in everything he did. Star Trek made him and again, everyone disliked him. Leonard Nimoy was his frenemy, everything was a competition between them. Shatner got the finial dis by skipping his funeral.
You ... CAN'T ... achieve the stellar heights ... OF! ... the ...Shatnerianmethodofacting. You've ... gottounderstand ... HOW! ... to overcome your ... INSTINCT ... for violenceBUTNOT ... your ... LUST ... for ... alien babes in tin foil bikinis. I guess only Shatner can do Shatner. That's what makes him a true original.
The interracial kiss was not scripted. It was Shatner himself who botched every take in that scene, on purpose. Then when time was up after some 30 takes Shatner kissed Nichelle Nichols on the last take! He had planned that from the start. Many wanted to kiss Nichols. Read all memoirs from the Trek actors, they are all very interesting.
Your main concern sir is do you have a relationship with Jesus? I met Jesus 36 years ago, He changed everything!! He's always been faithful through many tragedies, homelessness, estranged child who I still don't hear from, if not for Him I'd be totally alone, but I'm at peace, have joy in my life but most exited to go home to heaven soon, eternity with Jesus should be everyones priority, praying for you & thank you for all you've done, you've been a part of my life ALL my life! 💙🙏🏼✝️
its great to send prayers and Good wishes, but he needs practical advise, chemo will take him out..and so will radiation..and for the record im dealing with a growth on my left kidney as i type, due for an ultrasound scan with an irodyne based contrast agent on nov 13th 2024. at my own request (They wanted to give me gadolinium, no way) . i didnt take the needle craft of 2020 so i have a good chance of survival. I know bill does not fear death, however the journey to it is never pleasant, and i doubt if he;ll see this but if he does i can advise him, cant do it here cause id be.. well ya know..bill is one of my all time heroes
An actor for a hero ! I would rether have a war vet anytime vs a lowly actor reading a scripe,he is no hero or only in your dreams. But to each his own,We all make bed choices now and then.
I had a feeling about Shatner, there was something wrong last week...nooooooo.I was.raised on all Star Trek, Get ivermectin ...the aluminum free baking soda going, the Gerson method, seaweed diet, no more sugar....give your life to Jesus.......miracle? goto Mark Heman ministries, JEM ministry, Aussie guy, and get the power of God(zoom meetings availabel)
He is clueless how everyday people live. He is not a kind man not many liked him on set so stop trying to make him out like a saint. He is far from that.
He lived such a Great Life that only some of us wish we had!! I met him and he is a Great Guy!!
He seems such a kind man. I'm shocked he fears a life alone. I wouldn't expect he'd be alone.
I grew up in the 60s and Star Trek was a television show that I rarely ever missed an episode. I can still remember the excitement I got at the beginning of each broadcast. Shatner and Vic Morrow from the TV series 'Combat' were both my favorite television heroes.
Exactly. Same thing here back in the good ole 1960s. The greatest years for many reasons this country ever had.
He is a true original for sure.. a world treasure even. Praying for a full restoration of health.
Always sad when life ends just as wisdom begins. I hope he pulls through and we see him in more productions.
Not a bleep mentioned of his TV Show T.J. Hooker which ran for four years in the 1980's, (a year longer than Star Trek) and which launched the career of actress Heather Locklear.
They did show a short video of William in a police uniform in a cop car though.
That was because TREK is so iconic and a number of years ago voted the most popular TV series (non-comedy) ever.
@@dennisclifford617 Well they mentioned Denny Crane, which I never watched.
I remember TJ Hooker, loved it…👍
'The fear of being alone', which is exactly what I'm going through right now and it's a slow death. In the end it really doesn't matter how much money you have, it's worth nothing if you have to spend it all alone.
Remember back in the 60s as a young boy that most of the older couples stayed together. Now the opposite is true just like you explained.
Me too, retired alone, with all my life memories to both amuse and torment me. Life has a vicious sense of humor. Good luck.
A person can be alone even with someone around you, especially when illnesses happen to overtake a relationship….I’m dealing with that one, hubby and I are holding our own, but at times we both feel like we’re alone….its hard to explain but it exists…😩😥🙏🏼
I thought he got back with his wife

He still looks great for 93... praying for Captain Kirk
Oooh wow! Prayers up for a great man. One of my very favorite actors. I first saw him the Twilight Zone on TV.
Bill ...thank you for your many hours of entertainment to the masses....you are an icon of a hollywood that no longer exists.

No one else could have played Kirk! I wish him success in his treatment!
He was in a episode of American Pickers. He wanted them to find a mealstone. It was his wife decorating. They got a mealstone and a pie safe.
Praying for healing health for you Kirk 🙏🙏🙏
What a kind and handsome man!
Live long enough, a man has a 100% chance of getting prostate cancer.
I watched Bill a few days ago and he seems great..sharp as a tack, jack.
bill schatner, you cant help but just like him .
Kirk to enterprise! His most memorable words.
You left out his phenomenal music career. Greatest Christmas album ever - Shatner Claus! And who could ever forget - Invasion: Iowa? He did everything!!
*Sorry to hear about the Big C diagnosis, but ab 93 and worth over $100MM he's had a GREAT RUN.*
Who wants to live to be 100??
The 99 year old.
He also was the host of Rescue 911.

He better be okay i love him
If you are talking PSA it is prostate cancer not melanoma
Exactly. PSA refers to Prostate Specific Antigen and is used along with other tests to determine if one has prostate cancer.
Yes Mine is Normal . He's an actor not a Doctor so no teaching me. LOL
Melanoma can spread to the prostate too. Google is your friend.....
While he might not have the exact terminology for what he has, at his age which is his late 80s early 90s any illness can be fatal.
Obviously there are two separate types of cancer that Shatner is contending with, melanoma in other words skin cancer and prostate cancer. Neither of these are what any man could normally handle even half William Shatner's age.
I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. God bless. ❤
Always Captain Kirk!❤
This omitted the Star Trek movies, TJ Hooker and Boston Legal
They did mention Boston Legal.
This is old news. Mr. Shatner is fine. He is no longer battling cancer.
You speak about his origin in Montreal, but the videos show Frontenac Castle in Quebec City.
Immuno-therapy cured my metastatic cancer which like Bill's began with Melanoma. I had it in about 30 places in my body back in 2019. I now have a clean bill of health.
He is from my home town, not far from me, I never met him and you cannot ask for an autograph any longer, you have t buy one, pity,

The other actors in Star Trek called him Shat.
His collection of ex-wives tells the tale.
Mr. Takei? Is that you again?
Odd how Kirk said he always k ew he would die alone … 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
@ no sky die with family holding their hands. If you mean we all must die our own journey then yes…
I was turned down for admission to the "William Shatner School of Overacting".
They said I didn't have the right vibes.

That was not Ralph Bellamy, it was Steve McQueen.
Lots of repetition. However we love Bill. I hope he is ok. God bless him
Hmm . . . the script repeats Mr. Shatner's marriage again the end, but told again in a somewhat different manner. Perhaps not necessary.
❤❤❤❤🖖🖖🖖🖖❤❤❤❤
I think he was responsible for his wifes death. Never trust anyone who wears a wig.
My brother had melanoma. Would like to send him a book I wrote - wonder who handles his mail?
wow

Amen to that...for those in Christ...this world is a vapor we are passing through to eternity with the Lord.
Damn. This already sounds like an obituary.
Star Trek was best, when it reflected Shakespeare in some corner of the universe.
I got a taste for black ladies too
Please watch "I'm Glad We Met - A Short Drama Film" next
Thanks you'll be glad you did.
It concerns me that the makers of this video will get advert revenu from this sad news.
Uncle Wills will overcome this of that, I'm certain! :-))
