Thank you. I generally use a mix of either acrylic paints (indoor signs) or exterior paints for commercial signs. On this one it was acrylic and I use a paint dobber that I picked up from an art supply store. Thanks so much for watching! I'm planning on doing a more in depth video on HDU and sign making in the future. I'll be sure to include this information. Cheers!
Thanks! I don’t think so. There are sample pieces you can get but they’re usually 12” square. I’ve not found a supplier that does 24” pieces, just full sheets. Let me know if you do find one.
Killer sign. Thanks for waking us through there process.
Thanks for checking out the video!
I’ve never heard of HDU, but man it looks like a great product for that purpose! Enjoyed the outtakes too!!
Thanks! I always love a good blooper reel. 😆
@@VoeltnerWoodworking Me too!

Good video Matt
Thanks dude
Just found your page. Awesome video man!
Thank you so much!!
What's going on with the dauber @5:11? Thanks for the interesting videos.
It’s a sponge dauber you can get at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. They work great!
@@VoeltnerWoodworking For what? What are you doing with it? Some sort of a sealer? And if so, what kind in particular? 🙏
Some of the white paint bled over so I am just touching up the black around the recessed text. It's the same paint that is on the sign.
Great video!!
Thanks Brian!!
Watching it now, great content you have. Might have to subscribe
Thank you so much! Hope it helps.
So COOL!
Thank you!
Where did you get that little sponge you used?,beautiful sign btw
It’s a painting sponge. You can get them at most craft stores. I put a link in the description for similar ones on Amazon. Thanks so much!
What finishing material did you use with the painting sponge? Nice video!

@@VoeltnerWoodworking Was it a varnish or a polyurethane that you used with the sponge?
It was a craft acrylic paint like this:
amzn.to/3Jp2Hsg
It works great for indoor type projects.
Have you tried pvc sheets as compared to the HDU foam? PVC machines great and is cheaper, but I have never used hdu foam.
I haven’t used PVC sheets yet. I enjoy the way the HDU machines and how durable it is for the elements. Will have to give PVC a try. Thanks!
So.....what does HDU stand for????
High density urethane
Thanks for introducing me to HDU I’ll definitely check it out. Do they sell them in smaller sizes other then full sheets?

Where might one acquire a sheet of HDU?
There are a few suppliers online. You'll probably have to call them to get pricing for most of them. Precision Board, Grimco, Signfoam.com are a few.

Thanks for watching!
