This game has given me a sense of happiness and nostalgia that I haven’t felt since I first watched/read the Harry Potter series. I can see myself getting lost in this like Skyrim and that’s saying a lot. It’s become my new comfort game. For people saying not to play it, no. Play it. If it gives you just the tiniest nugget of happiness in this constantly depressing world, play it. I really needed a game like this right now. I’m sure others did too.

One thing that helped me was slowing down in combat, particularly if I’m facing multiple mobs. What causes me problems is when I’m rushing, spamming buttons, and unable to shield or roll because I’m constantly mid-cast. Especially if I get the alert that something’s gotten behind me. Like those damned burrowing spiders. Once I started slowing down in my button mashing, the fights got a lot easier.
Pro tip : if you are worried about what skills and spells are more suited to your needs. Just save the game before unlocking talents. And then test them out in a bandit camp or something and if you don't like it then you can load game and try something else.
Same for items in Trunks, save and retry till you get something you like/need more 🌿 (not the galleons trunks, sadly) Also works for some ... difficult choices in dialogue, with Sebastian for instance 🌿
The way the NPC interact with each other (without the main character being involved) is what makes this world alive. I end up just standing/walking around, listening to conversations and watching interactions. The only game I've played where the NPCs were so "alive" like this was Red Dead Redemption 2.

It has the great open world and fighting style of elden ring but it's own unique style with skills and spells that flesh it out to be great. Final fantasy kind of stayed the same since ffx which is great as well but they feel like separate categories
I didn’t have any leveling up issues. I was level 23 before I had the option of putting talent points lol. By that time I felt there was a better use of talents with the later spells.
It's not the leveling up that is hard. You only get 35 talent points and there are 48 talents to unlock, so if you spend them wrong you're stuck with them.
I just I unlocked the broom tonight and I was audibly laughing and giggling like a school girl. I caught myself and I’m really just happy with this game.
Good tips. The plants and potions are game changers, don't sleep on them. Also when I first unlocked Talents I wasted many points on spells that I don't even use. Rookie mistake 😭
There's a really broken build where if you have these three talents: Crucio Mastery, Transformation Mastery, and Blood Curse, then you cast crucio, spread the curse to everyone, transform a smaller enemy and then throw him it kills everyone.
Cannot wait to get going on this game with the wife. Truly hope they patch in the ability to respec, even if it comes at a cost- perhaps a new potion or something. Far too many people are going to spend points as the come, rather than waiting for their end build to round out.

Devs did an amazing job considering the games they’ve done. Last game they did was cars 3 I think. I knew they had potential because of Disney infinity but this game hits different. I know everyone is looking forward to Spider-Man but this game can easily win game of the year. If it doesn’t, there’s no way it will be 3rd place.

It's got tons of technical issues on PC but I'm having a good time. Hopefully, these problems are ironed out sooner rather than later. Also, Hopefully there are expansions and more content in the future.
Glad to know I didn't make much of any of these mistakes when playing through. Having a farm and beast collection/breed cycle is a must! Since I was stronger than necessary from lots of exploring and side quests, I used pants more than potions in big fights as I didn't really need the buffs. It's great that they give us lots of different play styles though

Big complaint with the game storyline wise they claimed 35hrs can garuntee its nowhere near 35hrs and upto 70hours with side quests with side quests whole games more like about 40-50hrs

Let's be honest. The game isn't that complicated. Just play and have fun, really no need to min-max as there is no extensive end game content. And that's not a bad thing, it's been a long time since I've had FUN with a game and just played it. I loved leveling my gear and stuff but it really wasn't too complex

You can shield and reverse the attacks even during casting other spells

The games PvE and how the quest and assignments are cordinated makes the game so much more alive and unique I love it.

Or. Just use the unforgivable curses and dodge roll. Combat is easy in thid game. Don't worry about "combos" they aren't needed.
