great reaction! don't worry, your pronunciation was pretty good! this song touches upon quite an "adult" topic, but that's just how they are...they don't shy away from things that could be considered taboo, or that may make some people uncomfortable. i'd recommend Koinosyadanki or some of their new stuff, like their life performances of Arigato. imo, their live performances make their songs extra special bc of their energy and enthusiasm. many songs also have choreography videos, if you'd like to take a look!

Thank you. They did surprise me with the maturity of the song. I like the way it explores those feelings and turmoil. I will check out more of their live performances definitely. I will check out your recommendations, thank you

Damn dude that was a great reaction. You are one of the only reactors I have seen that got the point of the song. They wrote this when still teenagers about how they were physically maturing and wanted to”mature love” but not emotionally ready for it. They have some legit great points in their songs as fun as they are. You will get requests for newer songs which are good but my personal 2 favorites are Koi Geba and Dokubana from a few years ago. Subbed because I was really impressed with this reaction.

Right on. Thank you. That's what makes them good. They can make catchy songs that also explore deeper emotional turmoil or just their internal monologue. Thank you for the suggestions, I will add them to the watch list

Wholeheartedly agree with this comment. Wasn't expecting this to be this good if I'm being honest. I'm giving a sub. I sincerely hope you continue to grow and you totally deserve an upgrade in equipment. Very chill dude Mr Berts ;).

@@DigitalRuler48 If you want a little channel boost I'd suggest trying BABYMETAL. The reaction gang will flow in. I'd suggest the yt video titled "BABYMETAL - Monochrome Live at PIA Arena (Subtitled) [HQ]" to start with. Since you've been mainly doing pop I think this song is more of a soft melodic hard rock ballad. I must warn you, that's quite the rabbit hole ;)
Cheers and good luck on your reaction journey!

AG! had to adapt the choreography for "The First Take" format which is to have artists do a one take performance in front of stand mics so they are not moving about as much as usual.
Otana Blue (Adult Blue) is heavily influenced by the Showa era hit Futura Nikki by Akiko Wada - AG! have even performed a mash up of the two songs with Wada. There's also a pun in the title as Otona Blue means Adult Blues and Otona Buru (which Suzuka sings) means to "act like an adult" and the song is about teenage emotional confusion. The lyrics explore "teenage awakening" ie the awareness of desire in others and their own desire to grow up and experience adult emotions, or at least their fantasy of those emotions. AG! wrote the lyrics themselves when they were younger and I think it's an honest expression of their feelings as they approached adulthood, which can make some people uncomfortable. It's also probably a very personal subject being young women singing and dancing in front of an audience for a living. But AG! never shy away from difficult subjects. They actually cut out some of the more explicit bits of the dance for this performance and introduced a mime of a flower opening with a surprised look to emphasize the female.
Atarashii Gakko No Leaders (New School Leaders) were formed in 2015 by Asobisytem. At that time the members were all still in school and they present themselves as "representatives of Japanese youth" so hence the choice to perform in school uniforms. Mizyu (the one with two ponytails) had already worked with Asobisystems as she was a back up dancer to Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and they brought in Rin, Kanon and Suzuka to join her. They do all their own choreography and also create dances for other groups. They have some of the most original choreo I've seen and are almost an anti-idol group as their motto is "With individuality and freedom I'm going to stick out" and they sing about some challenging themes and have appeared at Pride events. In 2020/21 they were dropped by their Japanese record label , Victor, and picked up by 88rising to break into the US market and have had success on social media and have completed a small N. American tour, performed at Coachella to great reviews and they are now on a World. tour.
    Songs to check out are
    "Forever Sisters"
    and
    "Nai Nai Nai",
AG! are best live so also watch the end of their live concert performance in NYC, Brooklyn. "Atarashii Gakko! Live @ Brooklyn, New York - OTONABLUE, Intergalactic, NAINAINAI"

Wow. That's interesting how they came together. It's nice to know they stand for something and have principles, I can respect that. They also seem to genuinely like each other which is really important in my opinion. Thank you for the song recommendations, I will check those out

@@DigitalRuler48 AG! are a bit coy about how they formed, but they were probably brought together by the Asobisystem agency. However, they don't seem to have gone through the common talent agency mill as they were given very little funding and seem to have been left to develop their own image and choreography and work with music producers. They were not popular in Japan and joining 88Rising gave them new impetus and they were also paired with Money Mark to develop new music. Back in Japan they eventually became a hit with their TikTok videos and the "head bopping" of Otona Blue.
AG! definitely stand out from many Japanese talent agency groups as they openly support Pride events and stared in an NHK dance show with dancers with various disabilities to promote dance for everyone. Suzuka has hinted at some emotional difficulties she's had and that the other members of AG! helped her through it, so there seems to be a strong bond between them.
AG!'s live performances show their true character and skill so I recommend you search out "Atarashii Gakko! live in Köln / Cologne 7.6.2024 - NaiNaiNai" and Mayeoba Toutoshi (search on "2021.07.22 迷えば尊し").

They don't even deserve an explanation.
