Thanks for this video of Gary's beautiful car. I have the official Franklin Mint replica of this car and it looks just like the original (only quite a bit smaller).
Certainly a beautiful automobile and thoroughly enjoyed the video but narrator failed to mention that Gary Cooper also owned a 1935 Duesenberg Model SSJ at some point or another. Regarding this car, she mentions that the car (as most all Duesenberg's were) was customed bodied but neglects to say it was coachbuilt by Derham.
Back in the 30s, wild animal skin upholstery was a really big deal with the Stars and other wealthy people... Leopard was really popular. They didn't realize that the leopards were going extinct, though. Another crazy fashion trend were the monkey fur coats and monkey head handbags... Really big in the early Thirties. I've also seen Zebra hide upholstery... And one giant Cadillac V-16 coupe that had it's entire body covered in elephant hide. They did some wild things back at the time.
83k he really drove it. . . nice

Gary Cooper aimé bien les belles voitures
nice history
Is this the original colors for the car? Not the manly color combo I thought Cooper would have.
Stylish, though, just like Coop
It’s not pink and lavender.
Colors picked by his girlfriend
What happened to the leopard skin?
I saw this car in Miami. Seats all torn up at the time. Pre resto
Safely returned to the leopard .😁
Was Gary Cooper daltonian?
The leopard skin would have looked a bit tacky otherwise a stunning car
I like what's in it now.
Leopard skin 🙁 While very sad is never tacky.
