I understood Nasrallah had more blood on his hands than most - and that's saying something. That seems lacking in this report - and I'm surprised, 'cos Times Radio is usually better.
It IS a high risk strategy, but the serious disruption of terrorist's communication systems, along with the threat of 100,000 rockets - all pointing in one direction, probably paradoxically made this a good time to help towards peace.

She exposed herself as knowing nothing about the region she is supposed to be an expert in quite embarrassingly when she said at 3:20 that Osama Bin Laden was the Taliban leader. Anyone who knows the slightest about terror groups in the Middle East would know he was the leader of al-Qaeda, which was backed by the Taliban but was separate with separate policies. The Taliban are an islamist Afghan nationalist group who wanted to impose extreme clerical Islam on the people. al-Qaeda was a jihadist organisation that wanted to conquer the Middle East, get rid of individual rights and destroy the west.

Now is the time for the International community to help stabilise Lebanon. Where is the UN ?
Lebanon had a carefully balanced constitution which for decades brought peace and prosperity but the balance was destroyed by the influx of outsiders, 'palestinians' , mainly in the early 1970s after Black September and there has be almost constant war ever since.
Lebanon hasn't even got a President (a Christian reserved post) due to a dysfunctional parliament and the Army is not big enough or structured to remove Hezbollah from south of the Litani river as per UNSC Res1701.
Israel's first invasion in 1975 was called operation Litani of course.
Lebanon needs to be returned to peace, Syrians sent out, Hezbollah disarmed and civil society returned to the old constitution.

The equipment that got left there was in 2000 after 18 years of war and it was a humiliating withdraw .not in 2006 , only equipment that wasn't salvageable was left there and it was very few maybe 8 or 10 ifv's and 5 tanks thet got destroyed.

Iran via its proxies Hamas and Hezbollah are the ones starting the war, if some terrorist mob shot missiles in your country or genocidally carried out a major attack the response would not be a slap on the wrist, it would be much the same as Israel's, remove the threat, the terrorist proxies choose to hide amongst the civilians that is their problem, Israel warns the civilians to flee beforehand and they should do so, they should blame the terrorists or better still remove them from the Country, the extreme Islamists have already g/cide or e/cleansed the Christians from Lebanon and not much was said in the West about that either, it's shocking how these monsters are supported by the credulous!?!

If Lebanon devalued war with Israel, itnwpuld imply they wage been complicity with the organization. That would makentjwk one with it. But Lebanon must put its people first and not attach them to the actions of an organization that uas been fighting a Sovereign nation.
Furthermore, thebimf8ence of the organization in Lebanon has reduced amd this conflict of control of Lebanon now takes a rw hope for the government in Lebanon to excercids its mandates as a state.
For this, indo not zee the government of Lebanon enterring this.
Israel is not at war with Lebanon but is targeting a smaller organization, one whose influence and ideas should not bee taken for a power with enough influence to engage in full time war with a Sovereign nation.
What is happening in Lebanon is sad, it should not have happened, but in account of it becoming necessary, should be brought bro a final end.
Lebanon must not be used by terrorist organizations to do it.

I have zero sympathy for Hezbollah or Hamas, they are both disgusting organisations; but I do question what the point of this is, except to keep Netanyahu in power and not facing a court? Israel is rich and powerful enough to protect itself . Especially with new laser weapons that can shoot down any type of incoming missle. October 7th was an appalling security lapse. Netanyahu should have resigned. He has not taken responsibility as he should have. But what will this strategy achieve, apart from keeping him in power? You can't defeat these people as you can a state in a conventional war. You cut off one head of the Hydra and another springs up. Much better to spend money on defence and, above all, ensure that Israel remains a beacon of democracy in a sea of Islamic backwardness. That means Netanyahu must go, along with those on the religious right that are little better than the Islamo fascists they despise. They are not so different as they think they are.
