What's the point of going to war if you don't intend to win? Well, from a journalist's perspective, a war being won is boring, so she has a vested interest in the conflict continuing in perpetuity
Disappointing to see the level of reporting here. That "expert" has no clue what she's talking about, not to mention she can barely string a sentence together. She exposed herself as knowing nothing about the region she is supposed to be an expert in quite embarrassingly when she said at 3:20 that Osama Bin Laden was the Taliban leader. Anyone who knows the slightest about terror groups in the Middle East would know he was the leader of al-Qaeda, which was backed by the Taliban but was separate with separate policies. The Taliban are an islamist Afghan nationalist group who wanted to impose extreme clerical Islam on the people. al-Qaeda was a jihadist organisation that wanted to conquer the Middle East, get rid of individual rights and destroy the west.

Now is the time for the International community to help stabilise Lebanon. Where is the UN ? Lebanon had a carefully balanced constitution which for decades brought peace and prosperity but the balance was destroyed by the influx of outsiders, 'palestinians' , mainly in the early 1970s after Black September and there has be almost constant war ever since. Lebanon hasn't even got a President (a Christian reserved post) due to a dysfunctional parliament and the Army is not big enough or structured to remove Hezbollah from south of the Litani river as per UNSC Res1701. I have zero sympathy for Hezbollah or Hamas, they are both disgusting organisations; but I do question what the point of this is, except to keep Netanyahu in power and not facing a court? Israel is rich and powerful enough to protect itself . Especially with new laser weapons that can shoot down any type of incoming missle. October 7th was an appalling security lapse. Netanyahu should have resigned. He has not taken responsibility as he should have. But what will this strategy achieve, apart from keeping him in power? You can't defeat these people as you can a state in a conventional war. You cut off one head of the Hydra and another springs up. Much better to spend money on defence and, above all, ensure that Israel remains a beacon of democracy in a sea of Islamic backwardness. That means Netanyahu must go, along with those on the religious right that are little better than the Islamo fascists they despise. They are not so different as they think they are.

I will defend Israel's right to defend itself until I take my last breath, and I certainly won't shed a tear for Nasrallah, but the occupation and Bibi are taking Israel down a very dark path.
Lebanese Christians are rejoicing. Syrians are dancing in the streets and handing out sweets.
Because of balancing impartiality we talk about these things after the fact we wait for something to happen and then we call it out to be war we could have called it out to be war when it was happening
And who's bothered can't get any worse
Israel has never been at war with the state of Lebanon. Only with the PLO and then Hezi. The quality of this interviewer and guests is atrocious.
