Not that the drone will do anything because without GPS RTH won't activate. But its nice to be able to have a lengthier time to try to reconnect. 9. Roberto Enther hello, I find take off quicker and more stable. Landing is also more accurate and no longer bangs down hard. I have tried hand launch and hand landing it it works great. I have had 4 full battery flights and everything was really good.
hi Anthony, mine won't detect this 4.7 firmware update. still on 4.4. and the SC2 firmware is 1.0.7..... i watch edthe other vlogs and seems like there's problem with the new 4.7 firmware. how is that so?
Thank you for testing that firmware update. Anthony, I have a question if you could help me out? Someone on RUclips mentioned that when you use the Waypoint function, once the Bebop begins to follow the waypoints there is no way to pause it or stop if you wanted to a problem like altitude or obstructions, is this true? Because someone else on RUclips said that there is a way to pause the Waypoint mid-flight and take over manual control. I really hope that the latter is the case... it would be very disparaging if there would be no way to pause the waypoints until they are complete. Thank you in advance, Joey
Hello Gemster18, in FlightPlan you can pause and stop the flight anytime you can also override the flight plan by taking control and flying it manually. This is disengage (autopilot). I haven't made a tutorial on flight plan yet but maybe I should to clear the air and give more insight to flight plan. It is by far the best waypoint system I have worked with on consumer drones. From what you wrote I think the person saying there is nothing you can do when you send it on flight plan is flying out of range of connection. At this point no control inputs can be registered. So my advice, plan your flight plan within your wireless range and possibly within visual line of sight (no obstacles between you and the drone) if you must.
Thanks for these vids. I am late to the bebop 2 show but just got one last week so going through all the learning. Wish I had such a beautiful landscape to fly mine :) cheers.
There is no update through Free Flight Pro app. I updated to 4.7 and now I have no return to home function. When I push the button the drone just goes to the ground and will try to land wherever it is located. The dronies work fine and I have a good GPS lock on both tablet and drone. If 4.7.1 is out I hope that solves my problem. I am scared to fly it too far away in fear of it just dropping to the ground .
Hi David, that is totally understandable. Parrot has released the changelog notes for 4.7.1 which I translated to English at the end of the video. The update is yet to be sent by parrot through OTA which is when we will see it in FFP. Regards, Anthony
Hi Anthony. I'm Craig from south Africa capetown. Please help. I have a bebop 2 power with all the latest updates. My problem is my skycontroller lags. When I move any of the controller sticks up.. down. Left or right it only moves about 5 seconds later. What is wrong with it or the bebop. I've also done a full hard reset. And reloaded the app. Please help
Hello Craig, can tou confirm that your phone has WiFi disabled when connected to the controller? You can also go into FreeFlightPro and reset all the settings to default. Than go from there. Let me know how it goes
Craig Kelly try this, take the propellers off, power on the drone. Turn off your phone, power on the controller after the controller connects to the drone hit the take off button. Once the motors start spinning try the joystick left / right. Let me know if the drones response is instant or delayed. In this test its important to keep your phone switched off. We will do a elimination process, to see where the problem is.
Hi Anthony. Ok so I did this whole test outside. Better gps than inside. Not sure what i was to be looking for . But drone didnt budge at all but made weird noises so I'm not sure what to look for did exactly what you said.
Hi Anthony, every since I've updated to 4.7.0 my drone isn't getting a GPS lock all indicators remain Red after calibration, and I haven't received a notification about 4.7.1 update yet. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Ultimate Droner, it is possible that your drone if its a Power may be one of the units that has problems with 4.7.0 there is instructions to downgrade back to 4.4.2 on parrots forum should you wish to or you can wait bit for 4.7.1 which has rectified some glitches. Although I would not know if you are testing the drone indoors or outside in open space. Regards, Anthony
Yes it was outdoors and no it’s not the Power version but I returned it this morning for a brand new model that hopefully doesn’t require 4.7.0 to operate.
I cant seem to find this new firmware or mention of it on the parrot site... Before i update i was hoping maybe you can do a range test. i'd like to know what they are fixing.
I have noted what 4.7.1 has updated and fixed at the end of the video. It is translated from the release note on parrots French forum. The OTA update is yet to be released. As for the range test I have tested it up to 500m and it remained at full signal strength so it could go allot more. Although I have a specific way I set up my bebop and I made a video about which is under the Disconnection title. Regards, Anthony.

Normal flying take off point is RTH Point. When you use Follow me, the RTH point becomes the last point of your controller when Follow me is Stopped or a disconnection is made. Calibration has nothing to do with the RTH home point brother its for the gyro, video stabilisation, level etc.

Denis Balobin I personally like using follow me above 12m + it gives space to clear small trees, and also is more accurate with tracking GPS and visual also the altitude is more stable because of the barometer. I forgot to ask you does your phone have an alter meter? If it does, the drone may be relying on the device altormeter and if its reading is inaccurate the drone will follow it down or up. I faced it with my old phone but its OK with my new phone it follows you going up and down too.
The Digital Stabilisation crop ratio changed in 4.4.2 so the same video will be from 4.4.2 carried to 4.7.1 this was probably due to allot of owners wanting more detailed video out of the drone and sacrificing digital stabilisation as we can stable video in software afterwards.
My apologies Stuart, the FPV goggles with the SK2 require a mobile device. There are two GUI's with FPV mode one with telemetry one with the radar on the OHD, and also toggle the phone camera so you don't have to take the goggles off to see the outside world during flying.
ANTHONYVLOG I'm a big fan of the Beebop 2 and for the price you get a great bit of kit, it's a shame their after sales care is so poor, mine had a motor stall and it ditched into water never to be seen again, the warranty covers everything except water damage so now looking at having to fork out again, this time with insurance. 😢
So, I took mine to fly today. Checked for the update, but nothing was there, so I left for the flight area. Had it up around 300 feet when it just cut off and landed in a River! No warning, nothing, just dead instantly! Really Bummed about this... still on 4.4.2.
So sorry to hear that SuperSport1966, if it is still under warranty please contact Parrot. They are very kind in dealing with unexpected problems that users face. Best of luck!!
Thank you. I doubt it is under warranty, but I'll check. They already replaced it once due to the WiFi not working right out of the box. They were pretty easy to deal with last time, so I'll give it a shot again.

Hi, I have issue, in follow me mode I can't make 360° flight, drone going down((( I don't know a reason...
Denis, can you explain what you are doing with detail please.
ANTHONYVLOG 1.click icon follow mode; 2. Put an object to the frame; 3.click icon follow which are below on the screen; 4 choose 360 degrees mode. And after that drone starting flight around an object but going down, looks in this mode drone not hold altitude..,
Denis Balobin try at a higher altitude, you are using follow me with magic dronies
ANTHONYVLOG which should be a minimum?
Denis Balobin I personally like using follow me above 12m + it gives space to clear small trees, and also is more accurate with tracking GPS and visual also the altitude is more stable because of the barometer. I forgot to ask you does your phone have an alter meter? If it does, the drone may be relying on the device altormeter and if its reading is inaccurate the drone will follow it down or up. I faced it with my old phone but its OK with my new phone it follows you going up and down too.
The camera seems a little bit unstable.
The Digital Stabilisation crop ratio changed in 4.4.2 so the same video will be from 4.4.2 carried to 4.7.1 this was probably due to allot of owners wanting more detailed video out of the drone and sacrificing digital stabilisation as we can stable video in software afterwards.
I'm not seeing any VR headsets with this model, does it not come with them? If not, is the Beebop 2 headset compatible?
Answering my own question, I'm guessing it makes no difference as its all on the phone anyways, although it would be good to see an updated version.
I can 't see any updates from the app. BB website shows only 4.4.2 version. Where did youi found the newer firmware?
Hi Tomas it was from Parrot, but parrot removed the update soon after it was released. It will be replaced with 4.7.1 (when they decide to release it)
Ok, I see. I was surprised when I was unable to find any updates from app or website. Makes sense now.
Thank you.
Hey mate i got a question c:

😎

Yes, they sent me a new controller, and it only took three months and a bunch of runarounds
Excellent, glad it all worked out.
SuperSport1966 ouch, sorry to hear this! 😢😱
I hope Parrot can help you, even if the warranty is expired.
I still love their drones, and particularly excited about the Anafi!
I stopped by your channel and subbed ya! 👍
Ya lo he probado, va mejor y estable el drone, está más pulido y mejor trabajado, ahora solo falta actualizar FreeFlight pro y agregarle algunos apartados como es la opción de ver la bateria
Eso se compra por separado?
Great review of the new fw upgrade. My Bebop landed suddenly when I brought her back in- thanks for that final section on your video, now I know why lol. Great addition Parrot. :)
How was your battery after you got it down to 1%? Cheers:)
Thanks for this vidéo
Thanks for sharing✌
Still crash lands....I can't understand why u can't soft land a parrot!
That's the design. If you want a soft landing get a hard frame drone.
Thank you.
Thanks

Georgewrigley the battery has been going OK no issues, even after neglecting them and tests etc. Still using the same batteries. 1% is 3.7v per cell.
ANTHONYVLOG nice one. I have a battery That flashes. Will not charge. Any suggestions pal. Thanks in advance ✈️😊👍
Georgewrigley check the cell voltages first, if any of them are below 1v replace that cell with a good one and use a balance charger to line up the voltages for each cell.
