I hope this video helped you realize how easy it is to print t-shirts at home! Right now I’d like to address some common questions I’ve been seeing in the comments. Before I do that I’d like to make it clear. I do not condone you stealing peoples art, and if you have any legal questions about art definitely consult an attorney :) ✅ Now one of the most common questions is what printer I used in this video. The printer I have is an Epson, but you can use ANY inkjet printer to pull this off. I have linked some items you can find on amazon which should help here. Keep in mind every printer is a little different, but as long as it uses INKJET it should work fine. I’ve done this with other printers before: www.amazon.com/shop/jaycashofficial ✅The next questions is how long does it last? In my experience transfer paper is good for a few washes, You’ll need to follow the care instructions if you plan on keeping it looking good for a longer time. I washed the design 20 times and dried it as well, and I had posted the results in the story for everyone to see. If you didn’t see it, it started to crumble up a bit. That was with regular washing/ drying. So I recommend this printing method for promotion/ samples for you to show a few times. This works perfect for events/ parties! ✅Now if you’re actually wanting to start your own custom clothing line, I encourage you to watch some of the videos on my channel and checkout the free resources we provide you here: bit.ly/Free-Apparel-Training
We used to print custom artwork on our T-shirts at home almost 16 years ago but this is the first time I’ve seen a difference between light and dark transfer papers.
Dude, John, you have gotten so much better at design ever since I first started following you like 4 years ago. I know the design was very simple to make but great choice for the video. It always feels great to create and have people fall in love with your work.
Hi! After following proper paper/application steps. Let’s say when all is done and a T-shirt is gifted to others how is the printed design affected being washed and dried in machines? Does it rub off after multiple washes/dries or start to crack and peel? I see this awesome video was posted 1 year ago - hopefully you both see my gratitude and question. Happiest birthdays!
Ive used this process & it lasts better with heat press..ive gotten yrs out of shirts made this way but they do fade eventually...high heat (I use about 350 to 375)seems to seal it better..but tell customers to wash on cold /delicate/inside out to be on the safe side- edit: you can also use an eco tank printer and switch your printer ink (sub ink or pigment)
Just recently subscribed to your channel. Learning so much already. I love the camaraderie of you and your brother. And yes dude, he is a Latino McLovin. Have him take some acting classes, he could do something with that.
Hey man, thank you so much for walking us through this! But I was wondering, what if you're stretching the shirt, will the image start having these little cracks in them?
Plyde Trinidad If you just took a paper and ironed it on the shirt without printing anything the dark fabric paper will appear as white while the light fabric paper will be transparent. So if you were using a black shirt and didn’t want any white to appear on the picture you could either use the dark fabric paper and cut all white off or use the light fabric paper and just leave it transparent. Meanwhile it works either way for a white shirt.
