I think the lines are way more natural if they don't follow the direct translations.

I’m gonna pretend this is my fault.
Everytime they have a survey I also put down to take as many liberties as possible with the English voices and accents. They’ve been better and better.

I like how the improvised lines are still within context and gives him personality. Ngl subtitle not matching feels off putting at first, but it made me pay attention to what he has to say, pleasantly surprised it's not rly far off of the translation

there was quite a number of instances of voice not exactly following the subtitles, but i kinda like this more than voice actors just reading (with some passion and understanding, but still) just reading whatever translation tells.
although im not sure if the game just cant have multiple translation variants for one line in multiple languages, i still prefer having more sass, taste, personality and novelty of not being truly known until actually heard, thanks, i guess

His VA has much more character and attitude and thats great. Hes memorable. Translation usually are somewhat mellowed, like Perlica talking. I prefer all VA's done this.
Especially that last improv was better, saying beet root instead of beet is natural. Translation was wrong here and he corrected it.

From the looks of it, the translated lines are generally more in line with the CN and JP voices. EN taking liberties in thier lines tho? Compliments to the voice director there, almost 99% of them are great.

I think it's a localization thing
Localization is different from Translation.
Translation is well a direct Translation
Localization focuses on getting the idea/feeling across.
For example Puns/Jokes. It won't ever be funny with a direct Translation. While Localization while not exactly 1:1 a direct Translation, they kept the essence of the Pun/Joke and it still remains funny. You can't really achieve that with a word for word Translation.
