Lesson 4 - Alternating Bass - First Steps on Stradella Bass - Free Accordion Course for Beginners

Lesson #4 of "First Steps on Stradella Bass": We are learning a new bass pattern - the alternating bass pattern. In this lesson, we will only be looking at the C major chord played with an alternating bass pattern. This pattern can be applied to any chord. Feel free to try this on the G major and F major chords that we learned in the previous lessons.
This lesson is laser focused on just one topic:
1. Playing the alternating bass pattern and the suggested fingering for the pattern.
Reminder: The technique tips provided in the previous lessons apply to this lesson as well (and at all times):
1. Maintain consistent bellows pressure during opening and closing.
2. Ensure crispness in left-hand notes, avoiding dragging.
3. Use firm pressure without hammering the buttons unnecessarily.
4. Emphasize slow, deliberate practice to solidify your skills.

"First Steps on Stradella Bass" is designed to guide absolute beginners through the initial phases of left-hand button technique. This free course comprises 10 meticulously crafted exercises, each aimed at familiarizing learners with the left-hand buttons across various keys, including C, G, F, D, Bb, A, Eb, E, and Ab.
Each exercise introduces new notes and chords along with their corresponding positions on the musical staff. Lessons begin with step-by-step instructions, followed by unhurried repetitions (without metronome). As proficiency grows, gradual metronome practice is introduced across multiple tempos, allowing learners to progress at their own pace.
Remember, these exercises are intended to be approached with patience and persistence. Progress comes from consistent practice, and learners are encouraged to advance to faster tempos only when they feel comfortable with the current pace.
