how i wish i have the same relationship with my parents as yours. i used to try my best to talk to my mom about the things i do when i first went far away from home. i am known among my friends to be that one friend who does big gestures when i'm telling a story or when i'm excited. but the thing is, my mom hated that about me. one time i had a video call with her doing the exact same thing (unconsciously), and she told me i was over dramatic and it is not good to watch. ever since, i'm not sharing anything about her anymore except when she asked. sometimes i feel like she is not interested at anything i do. it's okay. it's not like i am not used to the emotional trauma she and my father have given me since when i was young. i still love them. but sometimes, i can't help but be miserable when i see families that are as happy as yours. i wouldn't even come home to my parents if i'm not obligated to because i find it more peaceful in being away from the toxic environment there. happy for you, ashley, that you get to spend time with them! btw, good job with the cake and the gift! 🥹
Ashley, I have a purebred Shi-Tzu named Muffin. She is almost 16 years old but she still runs around like a puppy. She has a very adorable face and still gets excited like a puppy. I almost never call her Muffin, I usually call her Bubby. I call her that because I used to call her Puppy and then that became Bubby. When I first heard you call your dog Bubby, I was so excited but also knew that it couldn't actually be the dog's name. I figured it had to be like my situation with my doggy.
