I liked Tom Hardys potrayal of the Kray brothers especially Ron. I remember my parents talking about them when I was a child, probably after they were sent to prison, saying the streets were safer for ordinary people when they were about. They did have a charisma which has lasted unlike many other criminals especially in latter years. Keep up the good work.
No doubt what Tom Hardy is a good actor and being able to portray 2 different characters in the same film the way he did was very good. However i just don't feel that his portrayal of Ronnie was particuarly accurate, as entertaining as it was. When i see and hear Ron being interviewed i just get a totaly different feel than that of the chatacter portrayed by Hardy.
Sincere thanks for your youtube series on the Kray Twins it's very evocative of a bygone England. I don't live in the capital myself, but I've worked there as a freelancer and I travelled the city and outlying districts while down there and I love it still. London has changed massively but there are still many pockets which still and always will retain that 'genius locii' - spirit of place - that is embedded into the environment on a qantum metaphysical level. Fascinating stuff.

And you really have to be very aware of not only the time period this but the enviroment these guys lived in. It was very unusual how open Ron was about his sexuality. What I dont understand is if the twins did do all these things why did they still associate with them? Members of the firm were getting money. The Krays were basically their employers. None of the men had normal jobs. They got paid by the twins plus all the other perks that went with being associated with the krays,so i don't suppose they cared what went on behind the twins closed doors,that's even if they really knew about any of it at the time. And you really have to be very aware of not only the time period this but the enviroment these guys lived in. It was very unusual how open Ron was about his sexuality. I do believe Reg was bisexual but unlike Ron it was kept very personal. He wanted to keep it very private. What I dont understand is if the twins did do all these things why did they still associate with them? Members of the firm were getting money. The Krays were basically their employers. None of the men had normal jobs. They got paid by the twins plus all the other perks that went with being associated with the krays,so i don't suppose they cared what went on behind the twins closed doors,that's even if they really knew about any of it at the time. A lot of stuff came out about the twins many years later. Nobody knew about the Teales allegations until Bobby Teale wrote his book. Even now we don't know if any of it is true or not and we probably never will know now

Why is it necessary to keep vilifying Ron ? People have already made their own minds up about him long ago. Also, his relationship with Monica wasn’t just a casual friendship .
