    I've used this in all kinds of places. big lakes small lakes and pond rivers. I like anise with chicken breast too. works really good in pay lakes that stock weekly. also use 10 ft rod Garcia reel and big bobber. but I remove the weight off the bobber. to each his own.

      GreenBoy at GA Farms exactly! Take it to a public lake and you’ll not catch as many.

    Well I'm originally a European fisherman, but you guys fish just like us, I like that bobber setup, rod and reel are also very nice! It's good to see people not just bass fishing all the time, like there is nothing else in the water!

    I'll definitely by trying this... love catfish, love making homemade cat bait. My best catfish baits are usually quite simple ones... ground beef mixed with flour and garlic and liquid smoke. I'm always testing/trying new baits and i do believe i'll try this one next time, just gotta get some strawberry kool-aid

    The best way to do this is to save an old 8oz spray bottle add 2 or 3 packs off coolaid to water in it and use it as a bait spray. You can also add other smells like garlic vanilla anise to name a few. Just cut up some chicken or shrimp and spray as you use them. You can also add some vodka to make the scent go farther in the water. You dont get messy this way and it works great. You can also apply it to other baits like minnow, red worm and nightcrawler.

    Would it be better to use thighs instead of breast?
    I've often wondered this.
    Thighs have a higher fat content. Skin on chicken thighs would have even more so.
    I may give that a try.

      I use shrimp, black cherry koolaid & garlic salt instead of chicken & catch channel cats in rivers up to the 5lb range near the bank at night, for Flatheads I go with live bait. I keep the Koolaid shrimp in the fridge in a tupperware container in between trips, it gets tuffer as the days go by after 2 weeks I make a new batch.

    What kind of bobbers were you using? And where did you get them?

    • @cutthroatandbleed
      @cutthroatandbleed 7 лет назад

      big daddy is what some are called. you can buy them at any local paylake or a store on a river or ANY fishing store

    • @joespawldin7833
      @joespawldin7833 6 лет назад

      Will Melton called slip floats.you can get as simple or as crazy as you want with them.works the same either way.pan fish i just use ping pong balls with coffee straws inserted and glued in place.catfishing will need a bigger float for sure so just spend a little cash on em.you will need some stop knots and beads.youtube has tons of vids on makeing the stop knots and beads can be found anywhere.no need to buy the more expensive kits at the baitshop.these floats,or bobbers as we call em down south,offer complete depth control.set the stop knot where you want the bobber to stop,and the bead will stop at the knot,bobber stops at the bead.when you cast all you have is the bobber and rig to cast out.and you can set it to fish at 60 feet if you want it to.all you need to know is the depth where your fishing and that will let you know where to set the knot.bobber does the rest.once you get used to them you wont use anything else
