Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
We’ve pulled inspiration from several of our favorite travel vloggers on RUclips, such as: +CaseyNeistat +FunForLouis +Jon Olsson +Mr Ben Brown, and any other talented travel vloggers that RUclips’s algorithm will hopefully connect us with ;)
We're trying something new! We loved Seoul so much that we want to make sure everyone has an amazing time in this incredible city! So we put together a travel guide called 9 Things You Must Do On Your First Trip To Seoul. Check it out! karaandnate.com/9-things-you-must-do-in-seoul/
Kara and Nate That’s awesome! 👍
This vlog reminds me off how you use to film...I LOVE IT! ❤️
Alot of Korean food that looks really umami flavored is actually really too sweet once you take a bite
I thought you two were going to mongolia
That Australian dude had me in legit tears 😂🤣 he was so bubbly and outgoing and Kara had the "I'll be nice but like can you leave" face on both times 😂😂 that was like pure comedy. I felt like I was standing right there with yall
“it’s like the korean version of barbecue” you mean like.... korean barbecue? lol
The Australian guy made me laugh because I have also totally been approached by an Australian on street in Seoul. 😂
+Zoe Herron hahaha gotta love them!
Us Aussies are just super friendly in general. :)
Seriously! My first time partying on Sunset in LA and I met 3 Aussies that night, two of them joined up with us for the rest of the night and I'm still FB friends with one of them 10 years later! LOL! Love me some Aussies.
The aussie guy just wanted to hang out with you guys :')
So cute you called those sweet dumplings. It's actually called Mochi, the dough made out off rice flour. Common dessert in Japan and Korea.
Mod Saranya wut so cute about get confused on national-food on you tube lol
It’s actually 떡 but ok.
Mochi is called chappseoltokk in Korea
are you dumb? they are in a dumplingg case with redbean like stfu its not Japanese shit. like your on something
As a Korean, I approve of all your choices! Especially that pork belly skewer looks amazing! The black bean noodles are actually my favorite, but I think it's an acquired taste. So glad you guys got to try all these food!
Mmmm Red bean paste is one of my faves!! But if you are expecting chocolate, it can be a shock.
Haha, love Kara's facial expressions when she eats good food ;)
I can't control myself!
@@KaraandNate Your face just brightens up my day!
Kara, you crack me up! Your enthusiasm for different kinds of foods is hilarious. Keep vlogging guys!
+Bill Dapp good to hear 😁👍🏻
I visited Nashville about this time last year and had a blast! You guys should come out to Western Canada, we'd show you a great time. The mountains here are incredible.
Glad you liked it! We are really wanting to visit Canada!!!
Kara, I love your personal style. I know you have to pack light but you are making the most of it.
Last time I was in Seoul, there was an amazing all you can eat Korean BBQ in Myeongdong that was like 11000won per person, but they brought out TRAYS of marbled beef and pork, and didn’t stop bringing them out. I hope it’s still there when I’m back in January!
WHAT! Sounds like a dream come true!
Us Aussies are a friendly bunch... :)
It's true :)
Psychphuq i think he was lonely, and was hoping you guys would invite him to hang out for the night lol.
yeah get in there and interrupt filming with dumb comments "what are you doing here"
SoClose. He could plainly see they weren't filming a National Geographic show. Relax.
True
The food looks absolutely insane! Gettin so hungry 😍
Omg, this is making me so hungry!! Those fried dumplings definitely looked the best though - yummmm
They were!!!! :)
Kara and Nate, street food at its best, a lovely couple, traveling young... enjoy! and thanks for sharing! There’s authenticity throughout your journey and so well conveyed. Simple things are the best in life. Y’all are lovely. What was your fave out of the seven today?
Thank you!!! I think the very first one was definitely one of the yummiest, Nate would say his favorite. However dumplings have my heart ;)
South Korea is on the top of my list of places to go. I love Korean food so much. Everything looks so good
9:00 Red Bean paste is a sweet treat in Korea. I guess it is something you have to grow up with to love it although it isn't like an addictive thing still good for you like chocolate.
Kara and Nate at their best. Thank you guys!
Glad you think so ;)
I somehow stumbled into your videos. You guys are the luckiest people and the most open minded people.
Eating delicious street food vlogs are my favourite kind of Kara and Nate vlogs!
Just rewatched this vlog for about the 10th time. I just love it. This is one of the best vlogs K & N have ever had. Their whole South Korea series is just fantastic.
“Eatin’” hahaha love it! Thanks for representing the American south in a positive way. Much love from Mississippi.
I love how Kara always has a very positive and verrrrrryyyyy happy attitude and Sam with Nate. Nate can you teach me how to do a bicycle kick. Or can you explain how you play soccer and blog
Love how they get a game plan on how to attack the food ...lol
All the food looks AMAZING! I'd have a hard time choosing what to start with too! (And I'd likely keep going and going and going!!)
It was tough to choose! ;)
oh my god.... everything looks so good... i need to plan a vacation there just spending nights there...
I want to cook my food with a flame thrower like the street vendor! I truly appreciate how much you two love food! Also had to laugh at Kara's hiccups
@8:10 - Dude in the Canada hat checking Kara out hard. LOL
Seoul looks awesome BTW. The food, most things in English, really friendly locals- I definitely want to go someday.
I was actually sad yesterday when part one ended right as the carts were coming out!
Sorry to keep you waiting :D
random conversations! Our first time in Seoul some guy in a motor bike drove up to us and asked us in Spanish where we were from. It was so random, because we don't look like your typical Hispanic people
Just found you guys. I really like what you do. I watched your trans-siberian train ride and first day of Korea nonstop. Very honest and straight forward commentary. You are doing what most people only wish they could do. Nate, your travel companion is exceptionally cute. Thanks for what you are doing.
Starting watching you guys a month ago, currently my favorite travel bloggers. Now going from the beginning of your uploads after watching all adventure series. Currently on 406 of 440.🤗
OMG! You make me smile :D
Ahhh so much deliciousness in one place!!! 😍 xoxo, Caylie
I lived in Korea town in LA for several months and I think I ate Korean BBQ for a good 3-4 nights out of the week. At first, we would find an 'all you can eat' place for $9/ person and we'd camp there until we were stuffed, but then they were so busy and popular, the price has gone up considerably. Try the Plum Wine...it's a bit sweet, but delish!
So crazy watching this now! I'm so looking forward to being safely on the other side of this pandemic so experiences like this can become an actual thing again.
Kara and Nates paradise
you guys have to try tteokbokki!!!! (spicy rice cake) you passed a few vendors that had it
Totally!!!!!
I am new to your channel and have been binge watching your videos in a random order. I absolutely love your vlogging style and the content you give. This video is my favorite so far because I love how excited Kara gets about the food. In every video she does but this one she seems even more excited.
loving the Korean vlogs!!! Definitely needed a change of pace! And cannot wait to see the Italy vlogs!!!
I love Asian street food videos even though they make me super hungry
Your videos are making me want to go to South Korea Kara and Nate.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I watched this video while I ate lunch. Lol. Everything looked so good!!!
Haha great time to watch! It was fantastic!
I started watching the channel since COVID and it's a true joy for me.
I watched all the recent videos but I noticed that you guys been to Korea and I started watching.
The street foods in Myungdong are rated extremely low... They are usually pricey because they are doing business mainly for foreigners and usually not even good.
Jjajang Myun is easily found in the States but there are a lot of good places in Los Angeles. and it's a kind of food that has a lot of ups and downs. (Most of the food is).
Also, the same dumpling from MyungDong Gyoja you can get it from LA they have exactly the same place at Korea Town and near Anaheim, CA as well.
The Korean Pancake, you got it right on the point. If you get it from good places the pancake must be crispy. If it doesn't... usually it's a bad pancake place. You can tell from the sight of which is a good crispy pancake and not a crispy pancake.
I just wanted to make a note because MyunDong is not the MyungDong we know anymore because it just became a major tourist spot.
I always enjoy watching the explorer of you guys and thank you.
Y'alls gotta get y'alls culinary game up!
Haha, I love how excited you guys get about food. Especially you, Kara. Everything looked so good!
Haha it's difficult for me to control my emotions ;)
Thanks for making me hungry guys! Just ordered take out Thai...lol...
I love those fried Korean dumplings. I got to try some right here in little ole Des Moines, IA, USA. At our farmers market a family had a booth as was selling a couple varieties. I was hoping they had a restaurant I could go visit and get them more often but sadly not yet.
Kara with hiccups is funny, spicy food always does that to me too. I also like Australians, I miss my friend Doug, you always knew he was around when you heard "g'day mate" :)
I like Kara version of spicy!
Eat Bim Bim Bop, eat bim bim bop, EAT BIM BIM BOP! You guys are the bomb!
Its mochi not dumpling
Love the Marimekko bag at 7:43.
I so get hiccups when something has that certain spicy level and my coworkers laugh at me
The pork skewer looked amazing 😍😍😍
You make me crave some street food and it's defintely not the best time for that 😆 but you just inspired me to make some of my own 😄
Cool video.. that street food looks awesome!
Thank you! IT DEF WAS! :)
Great video. Wish you could meet up with Mark Wiens for more food videos, the real reason to travel!
That would be awesome! If we are ever in the same place as him we will definitely try!
Great seeing your faces just beaming oh if daffodils are yellow what color are hiccups ......... burple ha ha ha stay away from the spices. Some of thos dumplings looked awesome stay safe and thanks for the posting glad you like Australians see ya
Hahah, being aussies myself, I can think is so many of my friends that would be that ‘Aussie dude’. Hilarious.
One of my favourite channels on youtube! Your passion and love for travelling shines through every episode! Love your work!
The black bean noodles you had, you have to have it at a proper chinese restaurant. The street food will absolutely not do it justice. There are tonnes of good chinese restaurants in every suburb and the go to dishes are normally the jja jang myun (black bean noodles), jjam ppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), tang su yuk (like sweet and sour pork) but koreanised.
One of the must try foods in korea IMO is sashimi called 'hwe'. There are hwe course meals in many seafood restaurants or you can go directly to the fish market and pick and choose your fish and they will serve it to you in the corner restaurants. Once you have finished all your fish, they will cook up a spicy stew with all the left over fish bones/head. Fresh korean seafood is one of the best in the world.
Other things to try this time of the year are your fruits given it's harvest season! Koreans have perfected the art of producing the juiciest and sweetest fruit. Do yourself a favour and try some strawberries and korean pear. You'll thank me later :)
Oh and finally, if you want a warm and hearty meal, try sam geh tang. It's a whole chicken soup cooked with traditional medicines/herbs like ginseng. But you need to go to a well known restaurant for this. You will find plenty of references on the web. Enjoy the rest of your week in korea!
Thanks for the Seoul guide
Food....interesting! I love black bean sauce especially with char siu pork and fried rice..hope you can learn to love the black bean sauce! Kara, your hiccups made me laugh! Lovin' the dress!
+selina wilson I would definitely give it another try! Maybe that stall was just a poor choice, because so many people recommended trying it I can't believe how much we didn't like it! Glad I could make you laugh. They finally went away after the eggy bread haha. And thanks! Target!
Oh gosh you guys just made me my food!!! Try Itaewon! Go find Beton Brut!
I'm loving your doing lots of street foods xx
So are we :)
"It's almost like the Korean version of barbecue" Korean barbecue😂😂
I have been binge-watching your videos through the Trans Siberian Railway to this one. Great fun. I am certain you enjoyed your trip very much! Thanks for the fine videos!

I found your channel recently and have been binge watching from the beginning. I’m so glad your in South Korea! My husband was adopted from Incheon when he was 5 and hasn’t been back. I am starting to plan our trip there and am looking forward to lots of good tips from you! I haven’t commented before but I also have to say you are both adorable and I appreciate how you try to be grateful even when things aren’t going according to plan. Look forward to continuing to watch your adventures! (p.s. my husband gets the hiccups when he eats super spicy food too!)

Jajangmyeon (the black bean noodles) was my favorite dish when I lived there for two months!!! 😍😍😍 - but without the spice lol
