Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now travel vlogging is our full-time gig, and we feel like we have the greatest job in the world! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
We’ve pulled inspiration from several of our favorite travel vloggers on RUclips, such as: +Casey Neistat +FunForLouis +Jon Olsson +Mr Ben Brown, and any other talented travel vloggers that RUclips’s algorithm will hopefully connect us with ;)

Your lunch is called Dolsot bimbimbap. Dolsot basically means hot pot, and bibimbap is rice with mixed veggies. The restaurant I used to live by didn’t serve it with meat unless you ordered a special version.

Dolsot doesn't mean hot pot. Its literal meaning is stone pot. Dol means stone in Korean.

Well in case that food has fish egg, we rather call it 알밥 (arr-bap). It basically has same logic with bibimbap but fish egg makes it totally different food.
Her noodle soup is called 칼국수 (kal-guk-soo), literally means knife noodle. As its been made directly from knife-cut noodle, so is it. Last pancake is one of specialty in gwangjang market, 빈대떡(bin dae dduk) made from ground mung bean.

Loved your vlogs of Seoul! I can't believe you guys didn't make it to Hongdae or Gangnam/Sinsa or even Dongdaemun and Insadong.
You guys should totally come back to Korea again to explore even more of Seoul, there's so much to do here. And also to explore more of Korea, it's such a beautiful country.

You actually have to let the rice sit awhile and let it “burn”. It creates a nice rice crust and you loosely mix it with your spoon. It is a very popular dish called dolsot bibimbap. The innocence of your comments are hilarious! Keep it up. Sometimes it’s good to venture out like you guys are doing.

That is the biggest difference btw bibimbop and (fish)egg rice. specifically when the both served on a stone pot we call stone pot bibmbop and stone pot (fish)egg rice. So, if you orderJust bibimbop, it will served on the normal bowl.

Bad news: though it's less common nowadays and becoming more and more scarce, dog meat is still fairly common in S. Korea. It's more of a traditional thing, meaning it's not so popular as I understand it. It's said to be good for you during cold months as it has "hot chi", it'll help keep you warm and from getting sick. Again, as I understand it. I've never been to Seoul, but I'm originally from Los Angeles, and growing up, a lot of my friends were Korean, and that's what I've been told.
