If you try to redeem it through the Xbox/Microsoft website it could potentially work but I doubt it since I bought a game on there and it wouldn’t appear on my Xbox 360 or let me download it anywhere. When it comes to redeeming the code directly on the Xbox 360, I don’t think it allows you to do that and even if there is an option to do so, it would just give you an error message like it did to me in the past when I tried to redeem a code directly on the Xbox 360 before the store closed down. Good luck though and let me know if it works.
After further testing I figured out a way. Once you redeem the game by buying it/redeeming the code on the Xbox/Microsoft website, what you want to do is to go into your Xbox 360 and go into the Settings section and then go into Account. Once you’re in the Account Management page you want to go into the Download History page and go to the game that you redeemed/bought and press Download Again which will then make you download the game into your Xbox 360.
