Kudos to Mr.Snowden, i use to think that Edward was just a young man who decided to "speak out" and then found himself in a situation that snowballed out of control and that deep down he was thinking "oh crap, what have i done", however i now see a Man that is willing to sacrafice everything for is morals. His parents must feel the pain of his situation but also they must be so proud of the way thier son turned out, to them i say that Edward is not just a son to you both he's also an inspiration to us all

This is what I get from watching his interview. Others may simply hear "Blah, blah, blah" and that's totally fine. China is just becoming a developed country with a middle class that can do things, India is a developing country still. They're also huge countries where people often don't get the chance or opportunities than many in the US and Western countries do. The Laureates and the Peace Prize are somewhat separate from each other despite given by the Nobel board. They're all silly titles in the end, just as Snowden said -- they will die, their legacies will eventually die. It's a sad fact, mathematical odds would have the next Einsteins as Chinese, Indian, Pakistani -- those countries contain a majority of the global population -- but they don't have the opportunity thanks to their government. It's not a contest for diversity. Sad fact is if you want to be a Laureate in any science, etc. you're going to have to relocate to where there is more freedom to pursue your studies.
