Memories of those old sleds! My dad still owns a 1971 Ski-doo that he bought brand new which was the very first snowmobile I ever rode. I should try to find somebody that can fix that thing up and get it running again. Any suggestions, I'm from North Dakota. Justin was rocking this. Thanks for the ride along

You guys did awesome! One hell of a day and some awesome racing! Great to see and chat with you guys out there again!
Pro-tip when racing these types of tracks on a snowmobile, dont let off the throttle for more than a split second. Seems like a lot of people where just in low gear all the time. Going fast over whoops makes it much smoother and more stable than blipping the throttle. When it comes to corners, mash the brake for a split second to get it to slide and then full throttle to the next corner. Was waaay too much throttle manipulation i saw in the races. Could easily get 20-25% faster lap times by not baby'ing the throttle. Youd be surprised how much less jarring and tiring the race is when you keep the throttle pinned.

I remember my dad surprised my mom with Doug's vmax with reverse so she had a plush ride back when that was a plush ride lmao. I remember him getting it from Jay's by Fenton and immediately put a set of pipes can pickers this thing was a 🚀. And even now that sleds still doing good.

It would just be footage of them constantly trying to get them unstuck. Those old trail sleds are useless in the mountains. Don't get me wrong, I love old trail snowmobiles...they're just not meant for deep powder.

I raced ERX in 2012,.ditch banger class, 3 races, i couldnt imagine doing at my age. (Im their age) lol. But its A BLAST!

During Doug and Steve’s qualifier on turn 1 the green Arctic Car completely cut Doug off. (I was next to Doug). We both locked up our brakes to avoid hitting that ZR. Why was that little section cut from the video?
That guy was riding like an absolute goon lol. I was runnin back to back classes and ended up killin a gopro battery and didn't have time to replace so missed some stuff

People don't realize how ahead of their time Yamaha was back in the mid to late 70's. My dad had a 1976 Yamaha SRX liquid, the first year the liquid cooled snowmobiles came out and he ended up winning the Maine state championship, the New England regional championship, and finished 3rd in the Nationals. Those sleds just beat on the Rupp's and Merc sno-twisters of the time that were perennial podium sleds. He ran a top speed of 100mph on a 1,000ft ice drag strip, which in that day is flying. That 440 exciter reminds me of that era of sleds, I can remember looking at all the pictures of those sleds with my Pops when I was a kid.
You guys need to build a water cross sled like you were talking about. That would make some good content. Can get into it cheap, them late 90's early 2000 ski- doo and Polaris sleds work really well 🤟🏼
I'm like halfway done with one. Now that the season is coming around I'll start working on it again. The rest of the build will be on the 110 garage channel
