- Over the course of over five years on Roblox, one group stood out amongst the rest for their creative obbies on the site. From those times to the recent success of Shovelware's Brain Game, the group Shovelware Studios has defined what it means to make "quality" games, and today we will be looking over their history on Robox!

fr!i wouldn't call myself as an og as I found shovelware in 2019 but...their games were one of the best hits!i remember saving spookypants to my favorites until one day,it dissappeared.i never knew it was because of copyright and thought it was because I didn't play it often cuz I already finished the game...

I love how they went from making literal shovelware obbies to EXTREMELY good games
Shovelware carried my entire Roblox childhood and a few years later I found this group that archived the games and I played through them all again and felt the happiness I once felt years ago. Truly amazing
I'd just like to point out that the Spongebob one is the first obby by Dogon, the owner of Shovelware Studios, made in 2015 called "The Spongebob Movie Adventure Obby", which he then reuploaded onto the group.
most of the games were taken down due to copyright reasons but i loved them because in the “ditch school and get rich” obby i loved the star wars level it was so much fun
I joined Roblox in March 2018, Shovelware's obbies were one of the first obby games I ever played, this is so nostalgic for me because I used to love the obbies so much when I was younger, but around Early 2019, I started to drift away, because I played many other obstacle type games that I was so obsessed with, such as: the Flood Escape Series + FE2 Fangames (Early 2018 - Late 2019), The Doom Wall 2 Burst (2018 - 2019) and many, many more which drove me away from Shovelware, and I forgot about them until in 2022 when I saw the group removing old obbies on YT. I was devastated, but I was happy when they made a comeback just earlier this year! I'm giving special thanks to Shovelware for shaping my childhood.
This studio gave me so much nostalgia, i remember watching Ethan gamer play this and then me trying to complete the obby myself, good times. Seeing the team getting more popularity makes me extremely happy.
Ditch school to get rich is literally the first game ive ever played in roblox after seeing this video a huge nostalgia just hit my brain and it makes me sad that my first roblox game that i played is not playable.
I joined roblox around the rthro era, and i didnt know how to change camera with keyboard since im like 7 when i played the obby

I’m just happy that after the takedown of the obbys they were able to find new success.
Man I will never forget their obbys, the SpongeBob, and cars was so innovative. I played every one of their obbys. I’m glad to see them thrive again.

It's important to mention he only got around 100 - 1K per video before he did the RB Battles videos.
One thing I will mention is that the older games were recently given a bigger boost in popularity because of a RUclips Shorts and TikTok trend taking place in the obbies. I love this video a lot and it made me nostalgic for old Shovelware Games! 🥲

Those shovelware obbies were so peak. It was sad how they removed them. Luckily, people have reuploaded them to be preserved.
I loved shovelware studios’ games when I was younger, I remember when I used to log on every day during summer and start off my 10+hr Roblox sessions with one of their games. My favorite being Ditch School to Get Rich and the Captain Underpants games. They’re truly a gem in the Roblox community
i just played shrunken school obby and i was confused why it felt so familiar, and i was amazed at how well made the game was. i spent hours after playing all the associated shovelware games ,,, it’s so cool to hear about their history now! thanks
I remember the old shovelware studio games but as i growed up i forgot them but when shovelwares brain game came out i remembered them they made my childhood so i owe alot to them thanks to the team for making my child hood the best

Good history lesson! I didn't know about their lesser known titles, minus that I might have played one of them not knowing it was by them.
Being a roblox player since december 2015, this gives a positive feeling, the nostalgia of this obbies that i would play with my bigger cousin, and a friend that i lost contact with, this is and will, be amazing
I remember playing the captain underpants 2 obby, the loads of people collenting candy from houses, that one section where you were hiding from the black figure (i had nightmares after that) and all the other sections of the game. But now, in the re-upload its totally different, almost no servers, only like one other person collecting candy from the houses, being the only one hiding from the figure. It just feels so melancholy, or like a source map.
It's weird seeing shovelware studios grow considering I was around during its starting creation back when Dogon was making the Paper Mario Roleplay games, and actually interacted with Dogon a lot during events on those games.

I was and always will be nostalgic for shovelware studios obbys, especially the Despicable forces one, i remember playing it back in 2018/2019 after i saw some if my favorite RUclipsrs at the time play it, and ever since ive been trying to find it and im so glad that i did

The old games were my childhood, i miss them so much, especially the christmas grinch game, there was captain underpants and captain underpants halloween, diary of a wimpy kid, cars, they were so good

Shovelware has always been my favorite gaming company. I remember playing the Cars obby the most but I've played them all. I was sad when i saw that all of there games were deleted but im happy that they updated the original captain underpants obby and the new gameshow game.

I think another reason why shovelware studios took off in popularity was that there weren’t that many good Obbys in Roblox back in 2017/2018. I mean, there were was tower of hell and a few others, but most lobbies were just free model garbage with products shoved at you every stage. Shovelware was different, had actual effort put into it, and stood out from the rest of the obby genre on Roblox as it wasn’t too difficult for new players like tower of hell is.

I was on roblox before the first shovelware game came out, was truly a fantastic time. Im glad Shovelware isnt stopping production even after all their games got wiped, cant wait for the future!

5:02 when i was younger and saw this error screen after clipping out of the map it scared the crap out of me, i remember just going silent as it started counting down and turning down my xbox’s volume all the way as i was scared it was gonna scream at me, scared the living hell out of younger me
i love this shovel ware i recently played all there obbys again i first played there games in late 2018 i loved all of them espcially captain underpants spongebob diary of a wimpy kid i played all of there obby except for the second dispicable me forces and i did not play the turkey and tycoon game well i might have played the turkey game but not that much but shovelware studios will always have a place in my heart

I was a player who tried to beat all of Shovelware’s Obbies back then, and when I saw that they were erased from the platform. I was sad. But when I saw Shovelwares Brain Game, I remembered about those obbies again, and decided to play the game, and it was fun.
God I remember playing a lot of the cars obby game, and even getting that captain underpants cape accessory from beating that game
Something that wasn’t mentioned was that I believe they also made a Nintendo (primarily) role play game. I remember playing it and seeing a Shovelware Studios pop-up. After searching on RUclips, the game seems pretty obscure. Though, I could be wrong. It was pretty high quality!

@@MemeAhoy ALSO: I have an animation related question. If I place a key frame far away, then a bit before the actual key frame position, it will play in slow motion and quicken as it reaches the keyframe. It basically starts playing before the little line on the track even touches the keyframe. Any idea how to fix/disable this? Also, I’m using Moon Animator.

I love how they made the Agents in shrunken school obby work for the D.M.C.A and when they took down the villain he said (DMCA takedown), which is a reference to why they had to remake it

update: shovelware games recently made a roleplay game that bring all the shovelware characters to one game and if roleplaying isnt your thing you can go the cafe and play some clup penguin inspired minigame
I miss the Paper Mario Roleplay, fun because I never knew what Paper Mario was before I played that.

It’s crazy how they made these simplistic(but still good) games and leave without a trace, then come back randomly and make one of the best Roblox games ever

It's funny as I was playing Jailbreak and what not, most of these games flew under my radar since they looked so much like all the other games. It wasn't until I tried Despicable forces that I realized what was really going on. A lot of really fun nods to the sonic series even including the creepy error screen.
My GF and I as a joke played a game called "Cart Ride Into Get Eaten By Zavok Obby" which to our suprise had quite a bit of love put into it and seems to be inspired directly by the shovelware obby games
