Part 2 is finally here! As always I'd loved to hear from you all in the comments. Had some very exciting news today that I can't wait to share.. and a massive Thank you to Chris & Darren.. their contact info is in the description. Happy feel Good Friday everyone!
Hi Ben Such an awesome reveal. Reminded me of walking through the ruins of an ancient castle. I know Steve has to be excited to see all the stone work again. I glad he's going to get some landscapers in. Glad you are able to get help when needed. Best wishes to Chris and Darren for their support. I see someone from America made the boys happy. As always wishing you the best of success in all you do. Praying good health and safety for you and the family.
I just love this garden! I still find it funny that you are cleaning the garden statuary there in your climate and here I am lovingly painting my statuary with yogurt and moss mix trying to achieve anything resembling that furry green growth. You both did a lovely job on this extensive property. Excellent work!
It's funny, when you live in an environment where it thrives, you are fighting it from taking over and turning everything into a green carpet. And when you don't, you're trying to encourage a little. I've lived in both environments and I've laughed at the irony of trying to nurture a little patch of moss when a couple years earlier I was scraping it off of walkways and cursing it.
Same here. I was dreaming of having some moss on the stones, watching instructional videos on how to achieve it. Moved to another country - and now pressure-washing it from the driveways, swearing and sweating😂
Where I live has both. Half a year with rain and another with hot dry sunny. So it’s always been half year when everything is so green and other half of yellow and brown
Probably because sometimes you can just get tired of feeling green growth is taking over your garden and it's refreshing to see nice clean rocks...ahhh l can breathe 😁
Comments also help the algorithm. The buddha looked better with some moss and other areas as well. Ideally remove all moss from the horizontal surfaces and artfully remove from the walls. Maybe pull the ferns out then put them back into the wall after cleaning? I would think that within a year's time, parts of the wall will still turn a little green. It won't be thick, but nicely aged. The moss did have lots of charm, but still a slipping hazard. No matter, great work. Thanks you from the US.
This is in Manchester which is notoriously wet! The moss will be back in no time, there actually is an area of Manchester called Moss Side. That tells you all!
I would love to see this yard turn into a complete full on series! Coming from a person with chronic health problems, and a yard that is unsuitable for my grandchildren, I can tell you that what you have done for these people is far far more than you can ever imagine! The fact that both they and the grandchildren can now go back there and create new memories is priceless!
Hey Ben beautiful job! At 19:34 into the film you asked if we preferred moss on the walls... thing is moss is good for wildlife and gives a natural habitat for them.
I bet your videos help a lot of people who had no idea how to deal with their own overgrown yards and gardens until they gained knowledge from watching what you do.
I don't know which I'm more astounded with....the creator of all those rock walls or the cleaning of them all... both just as awesome as the other... WELL DONE...❤🇦🇺
You are so welcome. I can’t do what you do to help people. But this way I feel like I am helping a little. And you are the best. And you’re family always makes me smile.
I LOVED part 2!!! The enchanted garden is BEYOND beautiful!! Thank you for sharing these amazing stories with us! ❤And your family is just precious!! God Bless You! ❤❤
I’ve met people like you although there’s not many of you. You reach out to people who need a helping hand. I think others are called to help, but the call is not heeded. Many are called but few are chosen. God Bless You!
Lovely job, Ben and friend Chris! And a shout out to (Darren? Sorry...) for the chems for clean up. That's a magical place and I hope they invite you back to have a look after the grounds have been sorted out so you (and, of course, we) can see the completed Enchanted Garden! So much fun at the end! It's always such a pleasure to watch all three boys playing together! 😉 What a great Daddy and what a great family! Edited to add: Meant to thank you for the beautiful editing job. You've managed to hit the right balance between music and machine sound footage, I think! Well done!
I spend months painting a moss and buttermilk mixture on my rocks and garden statues just trying to get moss growing and it grows on everything there! Not fair!
Your children are always a pleasure to watch growing. ♥️♥️ The cleanup and transformation of the garden space. Truly an incredible and most beautiful area of all have seen so far. ♥️👍♥️👍♥️👍♥️👍♥️ Thankful to your friends in donating to help in this transformation. ♥️👍♥️👍♥️👍♥️
Loved watching you all bring the enchanted garden back to life. It turned out beautifully. Long progress and hard work but worth it to the homeowners and I’m sure to you 👍
Huge task and sheer size, easy to see why it could overwhelm anyone, great job on what you/guys done already...never apologise Ben, people like to hear about it and all the enthusiasm you have 👍👍🙂
Love everything about this garden. Please try to come back on a lovely sunny day in May. Bring the family and Chris. That garden is made for children, big and small. The statuary came up amazing! Also love the music in your videos. The best part was watching the boys enjoy their presents from Bob. The way Arthur says, "Hello Daddy" just kills me😍
Been looking forward to part 2 and it didn't disappoint. Loved how the colours in the rock wall literally popped thru the steam. Great job Ben and Chris
I would have left the moss on the walls, but not on the steps where people would walk. Amazing tranformation! I especially liked the hidden throne, and the area at the bottom of the garden where the kids can play. I hope we get to see another one with that lower section all trimmed up. It reminded me of Frances Hodgeson Burnette's "The Secret Garden."
Hi! Love your energy n enthusiasm...glad you had help with this one though! As you asked....I'd have kept " pockets" of moss on stones...and some algae on some of the statues...especially in areas children would find "magical" though the primary objective was to make this great garden space safely accessable for elder owner and young grandchildren alike! The moss will grow back in time! Nice that an older person who no doubt put a lot of time and effort into creating this garden for his family had help to restore it,somewhat,at a time in his life when that task was overwhelming! I hope that he can now get outside n enjoy the space....and maybe even be inspired to do bits n pieces as and when he's able! We'll done guys!
Hello, we would love it if you could come back in the Spring so we can see it all in flower etc? Thank you for all you do, we wish there were more people like you. Zell and Kevin Australia.
2nd comment... (cuz i forgot & thought it important) YOU are such a great Dad. Its always fun to watch you with your boys. Melts my heart. You'd make a great girl Dad. ❤
Hey Ben I might be your first follower from Switzerland 😅 so you're Chanel becomes international. You just do a fantastic job and I really like to watch your videos. Mainly during emergency duty (working as a small animal Vet) in the meantime when I have to wait for the next small animal patient about to arrive. After watching your videos I bought myself a Kärcher high-pressure machine and it's really fun to clean all different things with it. Good luck for you your family and your business. Cheers Urs
That was a Happy Feel Good Friday Special Edition! Fantastic to see our Ben quadrupling up as an archaeologist :o), gardener, pressure washer, philantroper! Way to go Ben. That garden is a dream, full of now not-so-hidden gems, that you and Chris brought to a glimmering state. Steve and Jenny must be over the moon! I hope you'll bring us back there once the grounds have been taking care of, I hope so. Oh, all that playing around with the kids made my inner kid wish I was there too. Cheers!!!
Ben, it's so wonderful watching you work your magic. You truly restore places to their original beauty. Watching your hard work inspires me to keep working on my home. Due to depression and health issues, it's hard sometimes. Your videos are also soothing to watch. Looking forward to more episodes. Love watching your kiddos growing and having fun with their Dad.
Oh my goodness 😳 😍 I watched part1 with excitement BUT PART2 blew my mind 🤯🤯🫶🥰👊🥰🫶🥰 ONLY the homeowners knew what was hidden ❤️❤️❤️🥳 I'm in my 50's but watching this transformation believe I went back a few decades 🤗🫠🤗🫠💞💞 FANTASTIC WORK GUYS 😇😇👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Just imagine the time of planning, gathering rocks and then stacking and building those stairs and walls that take one on an adventure to see the surprises they lead you to. Fantastic!
I have been watching your videos for a year now and I truly love them. I love the work you do for free and loving seeing the people's reaction. But my favorite part of every video is the shots at the end of your family. Your boys are adorable! My mom was born and raised in England (Thornton near Bradford, Yorkshire) and I loved when my relatives came for a visit. I loved listening to their accents. There were 6 children and my parents in my family so we never had enough money to take us over to England so we could see where my mom was raised. As an adult now it is on my bucket list! Thanks for all the caring you do for those in need.
It's been cleaned just enough, not pristine (after all, it's not designed to be), yet not too wild, overgrown, mucky, and, above all, not so dangerous to walk through anymore. You got the balance just right, Ben, imho. The collab was just brilliant! Imagine what could happen if more of you got together on these huge jobs!!. Ok, you'd probably need a lot more water, and there'd definitely have to be a plan, or you'd end up all over each other, but flipping heck, the results! And the fun! As always, seeing Theo and Arthur was a treat. Seeing them playing rough and tumble with Daddy was extra special. See you next time!
Another briliant job well done team theres no one out there can beat you keep it going i like the cape crusaders there boys defnitly chip off the old block well done rita

What a truly nice comment!
Amazing teamwork i like that 😍😍👏👏👏
I’d have left the moss in the walls. Steps cleaned up yes, statues cleaned yes. Great job.
Moss was holding them together.
@@margaretrowlands8162 dry wall and angles are holding them together. moss will eventually erode and bury the walls.
Moss doesn't erode stone any more than being open to the elements does! They are maintenance free and give beautiful colour to a garden.

This may be a weird idea.... ever try chia seeds?
Someone really worked their soul into this garden before it got forgotten
everyone complaining about the loss of moss can cope, the client very likely asked for their removal.
My grandmother had an "enchanted garden." As a child, that place was pure magic.

What an awesome garden for children/grandchildren to explore for a day. Heck even for adult children. 😉
I wasn't expecting that amazing Ganesh restoration! Beautiful garden
