James Kearsley is a fitness enthusiast from Australia. In early 2014 he was diagnosed with a blood cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. He used social media platforms, predominantly Instagram and Facebook, to document and broadcast his treatment, recovery and remission.
James' comeback to the gym, fitness and bodybuilding has inspired and motivated many people worldwide through the documentation of his this difficult time and the transformation of himself after remission.

Even though I already knew that you’re doing well today, because as soon as I found your videos I went right to your Instagram to see how you are right now in 2022, it still made me really excited to see this video, and so I have to say congratulations! I am so happy for you! I myself got my first cancer diagnosis at 38, and that was colon cancer. February was 14 years cancer free, & a couple of weeks later, in March, I was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma. It’s incurable but you can live with it, which I am going to do! You have been an inspiration!

James, you are so right about statistics. 15 years ago, at the age of 40, I was diagnosed with full blown AIDS with less than 27% chances of survival even with Tri-therapy treatment.. Goes to show, 15 years later, I'm still here. When it comes to statistics you can fall on either side of the spectrum. Even when the doc gives you 5% chances of survival, nothing says you are not in that 5%. Cheers to you and thanks for sharing your cancer journey with us. I just discovered you and I I am very happy that you received those extremely positive results.

I've been following your videos from almost the start, now look at you!!! I'm so happy for you, enjoy your new chance at life. My has stage four lung cancer (non smoker) I stated watching your videos one year ago because I wanted to see others with cancer heal and grow, my dad is stable and the cancer hasn't come back in a few months, I've see the growth in my father and the growth in you!

I just saw a bunch of your videos 'cause I wanted to see what chemo does to one. My mom is gonna go trough chemotherapy and radiation and I don't know what to expect. You you made me less worried about it. Also fuck yes congrats for beating cancers ugly ass

Hello James Kirtley i’m glad you had 100 days without doing better and everything I love to see you again on the RUclips channel I hope you can start thinking about what’s really bothering you lately on everything I’ve been writing to you ever since you got cancer free and I haven’t heard from you since you’ve been cancer free for two years now I’ve heard anything from you and you know that kind of gets me not very happy with you because I feel like you were letting me down and I’m one of the ones that wrote you in the hospital do you know what what if I had cancer in my body and but you know what I don’t have it but you did twice and I can’t come and see you either but I wrote you on your email on your computer the new one that you bought during the second series that you went through I have been texting you and texting you and you will not respond to me and I think that’s a ugly thing to do to somebody I want to people that way Amanda Shinn doesn’t do that to anybody who I’ve been writing to you a lot just because you live in Tasmania Australia does not give you a right to discriminate your RUclips channel you don’t hurt the people that you love because you’re taking the people that wrote you in the hospital for you know what I care about cancer patients I do maybe you don’t get it but I get it you know I’ve had people in my life that died of cancer did you see me making up doing well and look at yourself in the mirror and get real and like yourself and sizes the way James Kersley does it tell you what I think you need to have a meeting with Amanda Shinn a bit maybe she can give you some advice like like a special Olympic athlete that I am and proud of it I’m a send of it and I’ll tell you what you need to grow up and stop acting like you have cancer and I was other shit going on with you because you don’t have it anymore and I’m ashamed of you I’m saying to James currently right now as I’m James Kearsley because you know what James people have really gotten into my life because I love them and help them through it but when you have had an impact on your life you never have been for the RUclips family you would not of made it to your cancer you want to beat your cancer twice but you did beat it best to the RUclips family they help you through that and we got you through it you got to get real you got a break up you guys that you are a human being just like I am but you need to stop acting like you can just stop everything and act like nothing matters to you anymore because guess what😪😪😪😷🤧

I'm on so many immuno suppressants, tacrolimus, crescemba, medroll, it's horrible..
I'm on my way though things are going down slowly. Also check out my vlog of me getting back to a normal life after cancer like you. You're a huge inspiration man and I can't wait to get to where you are now.
