I have a Vox AC30CC2 with built-in reverb and tremolo, but it doesn't lend itself to late-night noodling with a sleeping family. I found this amp to be a great solution. I did the mods recommended by Landon--removed the limiter diode and replaced the stock speaker with an eight-inch one. It is plenty loud now.
I run an array of pedals into it, and it sounds great. I use the Danelectro Spring King Reverb pedal with this, and it approximates my AC30CC2 rather well.

There are people who understand that the Pathfinder 10 is AT LEAST the second-best amp under $100 (I'd take an argument for the Monoprice Stage Right 5W/108 tube amp being slightly better, but it's also only under $100 if you exclude sales tax), and people who are wrong.

  • @russiangoose7053

Even in their stock form these amps are one that are useful as a studio tool even after you grow into bigger better amps. Sometimes a small little combo is what you want/need for certain tracks.

  • @ald7248

A really well-done demo. It's really true that the Pathfinders seem to take pedals better than most other smallish SS amps. I've tried small Fender, Orange, and Blackstar SS amps with pedals - and the Pathfinder 10 really does work better with them, IMO.

The Orange Crush 35 is significantly better than the Vox Pathfinder 10. Better clean and drive channels.

Two of these and a stereo pedal sound like a great option for a basic and lightweight stereo rig.
