      I used this technique for my first attempt at marbling a birthday cake. It could not have gone better. I have received so many compliments and I’m super impressed. I love how easy it was and the reassurance of pressing the buttercream into the cake whilst it’s wrapped around in the parchment paper. Very clear video. Thank you for sharing this method.

    One question, is buttercream hard like fondant when cutting the cake? ... Can I use buttercream on a wet cake? Thanks, nice video :)

    • @MapleRoad
      @MapleRoad  3 года назад +1

      Buttercream is soft at room temperature. Also I dont think it will work well on cakes like these leches where cakes are soaked in milk.

    • @MapleRoad
      @MapleRoad  3 года назад

      Hello Shalewa! No, the cake will not sweat since we are only leaving it there for a few minutes.

    Hi I know this is an older video but I had a question: it's my mom's 50th birthday the 27th of this month, and she wants a different frosting than buttercream- does this design/method work well with other frostings? Specifically cream cheese frosting?🥺💖

    Why does the icing starts to melt off after taking it four from the fridge? I mean in the process of icing ?
    What should I do to avoid the icing from melting ?

    If i take out my cake from fridge it usually sweats is it fine for this marbling technique???

    • @MapleRoad
      @MapleRoad  3 года назад

      The marbling will still work because u are basically scraping off the top surface of the buttercream, however there's a potential that the color will smudge.
