One of my favorite songs. Listening to this reminded me that Emily's guitar expertise is as much a part of the magic of IG music lore as her lyrics. I could watch and listen to her play all day.
I went to so many IG concerts throughout the 90s and early 2000. I saw them in so many different types of venues and they always did the best concerts (and I went to A LOT of concerts). This brings back some amazing memories.
Those voices!!! I listened to their 1989 album "Indigo Girls" on repeat until everybody was sick of me and them... I also love that they're just who they are and to hell with what anybody might think.
I agree with the comment below. So Blessed to have grown up with them since we are the same age. Saw them in the 80's after seeing "Closer to Fine" on MTV. Then this Song exploded like crazy. I was so happy for them and still am. I can't even count the times that I've seen them but have never been disappointed only amazed. When I was younger, It was like a Religious experience or High when everyone sang every Song word for word. They've definitely made a difference in my life in a positive way.
It's rather touching to see just how genuinely thrilled Sugarland are to have Amy and Emily there, singing with them. They can't stop smiling and neither could I. The fact that they're all from Atlanta is worth bragging about, also. 🙂
Thanks for posting this. Brings back some amazing and wonderful memories. I went to a lot of concerts back in the day and the music, crowd, performance, and atmosphere was always the best at an IG's concert.
67 year old man here just recently hearing indigo girls. Just bought hits CD. Also led me to this Sugarland video. Ill have to check them out now too.! Why isn't or wasn't this mainstream? Fantastic music and performance.
They were all over the alternative radio stations back in the late 80's/early 90's. But, then again, I grew up in Atlanta, where they're from. I'm sure there was some local bias. 🙂
I was answering a Facebook post about a concert that dated me....going back and seeing IG again brings it all back.... I went to see REM that night and fell in love with IG as a bonus...
No, this concert was in Atlanta in 2018. I was at that IN concert; spent 4 days in ICU. Indigo girls were not at that concert, Sara Bareilles was the opening act.

Indigo Girls singing Galileo feels like a warm hug.
Pfft Well put!
Blessed that I lived during a time when the Indigo Girls performed. First saw them in 1989. GAWD, am I OLD!!! LOLOL

Saw them first in 1992 and many times since, most recently about 2 years ago in Toronto
Over 30 concerts!! I feel old too but also blessed to have been there from the beginning😊
I feel the same.. we are blessed!
Great to see newer artists giving CRED where it’s due. Excellent❣️
Would have been more awesome if Kristen Hall had still been with Sugarland. She used to be IG's guitar tech.
Yeah indeed....creed to where it belongs

My first live guitar and voice...Amy Ray.
Pure fun!!!!
Beautiful legacy keeps on my girls without their guitars
Wow
I believe this was a concert in Indiana, a storm blew in and knocked the stage down and killed a couple of people and injured several others.

@@sugarfann I'm glad you made it out alive. I'm sorry you suffered trauma.
But ok ..first time in 25 years I have seen Indigo Girls take a break with their hands
Emily took close eye on guitar riffs.... classical guitar player checking in on her work.
Whoa
ATL REPRESENT
Damn! I think SugarLand did it better
I want to be Emily's friend.
I love their music but for god's sake clean up a bit.
God’s okay with it
@@lorishu48103 guess so...
Don't be so hard on Jennifer and Kristian.
@@DoggieFosters who? The two that bathed before the concert?
Clearly you have never seen them live. They wear comfy and casual clothes. Most folks don't play in sparkly body suits.
