☞ About ‘Sejong Government Complex’ (세종 정부청사)
In March 2005, the Special Law for the Construction of a Multifunctional Administrative City was enacted to relieve the adverse effects of over centralization in Seoul, strengthen the balance of development in the nation, and enhance national competitiveness. Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security devised a basic plan to construct a government office complex in an administrative city (2007) and proceeded with its construction at a new central government administration town located in Sejong Special Autonomous City.
The basic blueprint for the central government administration town was selected through an international design competition. In accordance with the final design, the town’s government office complex is eco-friendly, energy-saving, intelligent, and futuristic, with an infrastructure based on information and communications. As a green and “living” building, it is designed to blend in with the natural surroundings. It also has enhanced protection against earthquakes. -

세종시에 있는 정부세종청사를 구경하고 왔습니다. 걸어서는 전부 다 볼 수 없을 것 같아서 차로 쭈욱 돌아봤는데요. 정말 넓고 세련되었다는 느낌을 많이 받았습니다. 내부는 못봤지만 초현대식으로 지어졌다고 하네요. 특이한 것은 건물마다 연결되어 있는 통로가 있어서 안에서 일하는 직원들은 하루종일 밖으로 나올 일이 거의 없어보였습니다.
