This is essentially a bug aesthetic map, based around Frecklewish from Mapleshade's Vengeance (You got it right!). It followed the same storyline of the book, but in Frecklewish's perspective
Just for a bit on context this is part of maple'shades story. Freckle'Wish is the cat that you've seen maple killing with a snake. Basically she thought maple had kits with her brother. /She didn't/ this map was basically showing her point of view on the story. Hope that helps! / Also the reason many of the designs of the same Character change during most maps you watch is because many people use different designs for a character to make them stand out. @@nichollle probably a habit picked up from WCUE (warrior cats ultimate edition, a WC inspired roblox game). Roblox has a notoriously overactive censorship system, and tends to censor normal names because they somehow set off the censorship algorithm. So people started using apostrophes to split names up, so they'd stop doing that :D

These vids are SO FUN! I love watching all these !! Really do keep up the great work! You're such a blessing to the warriors MAP community !! The reason they're sorta bugs in this MAP is to go with the song name! They're all based off some type of bug :D!! Also yes! It's based off Mapleshade!! It goes off a side characters POV after she thinks Mapleshades kits belong to her brother, not another clans cat! Who also killed her brother! That's why Mapleshade didn't like freckle, as she didn't like how clingy freckle was to the cats she thought were her brothers kits! I'd love to recommend my own MAP, everlasting night, it's a bit gorey and dramatic, but I think it'd be interesting to react to :D!! It's based off the premise of if they sun disappeared to and there's a lot to react to !!
Maggot Belly is a bugcore style map that tackles Frecklewishs greif. Frecklewish is a character from Mapleshade Vengance. Frecklewish had a brother (Birchface) she was really close to and who died in battle to another cat, Appledusk. Appledusk is from a neighboring clan that is constantly at battle with Mapleshades and Frecklewishes clan. Mapleshade falls in love with Appledusk and eventually has kits but has to hide who is the father from the clan. In the warrior code (a set of laws made by the original forest cats) it says that relationships from different clans arent allowed. Fewcklewish finds out Mapleshade is having kits and through her greif asks Mapleshade if Birchface was the father. Mapleshade lies and says yes, making Frecklewish believe that her brother lives on in a fellow clan cat. Frecklewish is super happy and helps out Mapleshade with the kits once they are born, essentially being a second mother to the kits. One day, Frecklewish comes back after a walk and sees the clan gathered around Mapleshade and the medicine cat (the one who dropped the bug leg) tells her that Mapleshade is a traitor and that Appledusk is the father. Frecklewish is heartbroken and attacks Mapleshade, breaking down and even calling her kits "half clan creatures". Frecklewish is lead to believe that her brother was the father when the cat who killed Birchface, (Appledusk) was actually the father of Mapleshades kits. After Mapleshade is exilled from her clan, her kits die in a river/flood. Mapleshade swears revenge on all the cats that wronged her, including Frecklewish. According to another cat, Frecklewish had seen Mapleshade cross the river (where Mapleshades kits passed). Mapleshade believes that Frecklewish saw her kits die and didn't help at all so she swears to kill her. As Frecklewish is on patrol, she passes by this pile of rocks with snakes and Mapleshade is there ready to fight her. Frecklewish ends up getting bitten by a snake (in the books she gets bit by a poisonous snake in the eye) and she survives... mostly. After a couple days in the medicine cat den, Frecklewish dies. In a happy ending she wakes up, in cat heaven and sees her brother. The writers made it so that in the books, Frecklewish is in cat hell, punished for "being angry too long". Which is why the map was made, Frecklewish (although not portrayed properly in Mapleshade's Vengance) is a victim to Mapleshade and her own greif (which is really well displayed in the map imo). Ooh, here we go! Frecklewish had a brother named Birchface who was training a younger cat named Flowerpaw. Mapleshade is dating a cat from another clan named appledusk, which shes not supposed to be doing because hes from another clan. Appledusk kills flowerpaw and Birchface during a clan fight which makes it harder for mapleshade to love him because her entire clan now despises him. When she gets pregnant with appledusk's kits she tells frecklewish that the father is actually birchface and she grows attached to the kits. Eventually she is called out on her lie and frecklewish finds out that these kits are not related to her brother but actually the cat who killed her brother. Mapleshade is exiled and her 3 kits die in a flash flood soon after they leave. She later murders Frecklewish via snake bite, blaming her for her exile and the death of her 3 kits. Extra note: these cats look like bugs just to fit the theme of the song. Frecklewish is a moth, mapleshade is a black widow, appledusk is a praying mantis, etc. Its just to fit the bug theme of the song! ^^

Warriors is about a large group of cats, so there's always stories about how different people experience the same event! This IS the same story as Mapleshade, but from one of her victims. She lost her brother, and believed Maple's kids were his before being told that their dad was the one who killed her brother. Really enjoyed seeing your reaction here! You've watched a lot of sad and action filled MAPS recently, so for a nice relaxing change of pace, I would love to suggest Dizzy by Virtualantlers. It's a very sweet LGBTQ pmv about two characters by an amazing artist who did some incredible disney-like animation.
So some context. Mapleshade has kits with Appledusk, warrior of Riverclan, who just happened to have just killed Frecklewish’s brother Birchface in a fight. Despite this, mapleshade stays with him and has his kits. When frecklewish asks the father of the kits and asks if it was her brother, Mapleshade says that yes, they are her brother’s kits. Frecklewish falls in love with the kits, but it’s soon revealed that Appledusk is the father. Frecklewish attacks Mapleshade and she and her kits are kicked out. Frecklewish follows them and sees the kits get washed away. She sees a Riverclan patrol arriving so she leaves. It’s revealed later that Mapleshade’s kits did not survive. Mapleshade lures Frecklewish to snake rocks where she is bitten in the eye by an adder. She dies a couple days later from the poison

I really love your reaction videos to these maps! As a quick tip, a lot of these maps (especially the newer ones) contain explanations of what is happening throughout it within the description :D plus, many of the newer maps of the warrior cat's community are getting far more stylized and unique, so ones such as these may be a bit more confusing, despite containing some of the same characters you may have seen in different maps. Anywho, keep up with the great work, I look forward to seeing more of your content! :D

When the blue cat has a moth wing in his paw, then it turns into a praying mantis leg, it’s supposed to show how Mapleshade (the spider one) had kits with Appledusk (the praying mantis cat), but told Frecklewish (the main character, moth cat) it was her brother’s kits. Frecklewish gets mad and attacks Mapleshade because Appledusk was the one to kill her brother.
Maggot Belly is an amazing MAP hands down I'm here once again to say you should check out Baby of Mine Speckletail and Snowkit MAP by sagutoyas! It's adorable and I think you'd really love it!
The insect thing is more of a methafore, it’s not what they actually look like. It’s Mapleshade’s story through one of Mapleshade’s victims eyes, this case it’s Frecklewish (the cat she kills with a snake) Frecklewish had a brother named Birchface, (the gray cat), who died during a battle as he fell into the river thx to Appledusk. Ever since his death, Frecklewish has been very depressed. Until Mapleshade came into the picture. She was pregnant with Appledusk’s kits, and when Frecklewish asked her if their father was Birchface, Maple stayed silent, allowing the lie to spread. Frecklewish loved Mapleshade’s kittens, as she thought they were her brother’s, but eventually, her lie was revealed. At first Frecklewish defended Maple, but when there was no denying it, she attacked Maple. Being angry for lying about the father of the kits, as she had been caring for, in her eyes, the kits of a murderer. She would follow them to the river, but leave once the kits fell in there bc she wasn’t able to help them, and trained swimmers were already trying to save them
You should also watch 'Dollhouse: complete whiteout map' it is a wings of fire map and its amazing too! Its about dragons and its stylised just like this, except it has a dollhouse easthetic

i recomend you Mama we all goin to hell map is really good, is about leafpool kids and how she lied to them, you alredy see a bit of the story in the roxxane map, but this map is mor like a pov of leafpool and her kids than squirrelflight and her relashionships with bramblestar or ashfur!!

Frecklewish is the second cat that MapleShade killed in her book. This map is an insight on Frecklewish for a change. Frecklewish’s brother Birchface died in the river, and MapleShade has kits with his (accidental) murderer, Appledusk. Mapleshade lies (by omission) to Frecklewish that her kits are ACTUALLY Birchface’s. Ravenwing finds out the truth and reveals it to the clan (hence, the moth wing in his paw turning into that of a mantis claw.) Frecklewish gets PISSED and attacks MapleShade. MapleShade is exiled and crosses the river, where her kits die. MapleShade, later on, lures Frecklewish into a snake nest and she dies from a bite wound (hence, the intro, where she’s lying on the ground with foam coming out of her mouth.) The designs were based on insects and arachnids to represent different things. If you notice, when the camera pans out after they say “maggot belly, yeah.” You’ll see references to what just happened in the scene prior! Hope this helps! :3
Omg I wondered if you'd do this one!! This is about Frecklewish, a side character in Mapleshade'ss story! The map is bug themed for aesthetic purposes, but basically, Frecklewish lost her brother Birchface. The map focuses on her love for him and how much pain she was in to learn Mapleshade lied about her kids being Birchface's (Mapleshade loved a different clan cat named Appledusk, which is strictly against their laws). So this map focuses on Frecklewish and her greiving up until her death due to a snake bite.
The more I watch your warriors reactions the more I appreciate you :D it makes me so happy and I’m sure others in the warrior cats community seeing someone reacting to the hard work put into maps and you appreciate all the art work and are also trying to understand the story and that’s so cool so thank you!
MAY YOU PLEASE, watch “the ghost” by northflowo? It’s a really cool and spooky map! It’s about a mother cat (blue star) having a nightmare of her dead kitten, moss kit. Moss kit died in a blizzard while blue star was trying to take them to live with their father. That’s just a string of backstory but I’m sure others can explain it better
This is from Frecklewish's perspective! Their designs are based off bugs and are entirely just for the aesthetic, hence the song maggot belly ^^ (the backgrounds with the windows are too, it's just for the overall theme!) At the beginning the cat you see, Frecklewish is with is her brother, who got killed by and swept away by the river. and the reason she's upset with Mapleshade at the end is because she thought Maple had kits with her brother. Which is why she was happy to see his legacy living on through Mapleshade's kits, when in reality Maple actually had kits with the guy who KILLED her brother. Some MAPs have distinct designs, styles, or themes to have unique designs or takes on the narrative. This is just a design choice MAP, but some, like Cheetah Z's, rehash the canon story differently and you can read the descriptions often to find out the storyline since character designs may not always be consistent person to person. Cheetah Z basically has their own intertwining universe loosely based on the canon content, and is currently the most distinct "rewrite", if you will.
While I'd recommend any map about ashfur, another map that i actually just recently discovered myself is Let Me Through, by We Have Candy, it's both beautiful, and somewhat creepy at the same time.
This is actually a AU (ultimate universe) to the book series called warriors, all the cats are half insects in this map. I will explain why the cats are always fighting and this story Frecklewishs (the yellow moth cat) brother and his apprentice drown. Her brother was attacked by appledusk (the one cat the spider cat was with) in the battle which was what made him fall into the water and drown, Mapleshade (the spider cat) is pregnant. She tells everyone that the father is Frecklewishs brother instead of appledusk Because the relationship was forbidden (cats from different clans cannot be mates and even worse have kits with each other) and Frecklewish is happy that they are 'her brothers' and spends time with them, The black cat is ravenwing. He is the medicine cat of the clan which the clan is thunderclan (a medicine cat is the cat who treats the injured or sick cats. And they can communicate to cat heaven which is called starclan) and he gets a omen that mapleshades kits are not birchfaces (frecklewishs brother) and he cannot hide it anymore so he tells the clan. frecklewish refuses for a second before seeing proof of the omen (a moths wing turning into a mantis leg) and screams at mapleshade that she is a traitor, mapleshade leaves with the kits and later frecklewish sees maple crossing the river (which she leaves before mapleshades kits drown) and on mapleshades side she isn't allowed into riverclan. She kills ravenwing later on Frecklewish was leaded into snakerocks (a place full of snakes. They had blocked off all the snake nests with rocks though) and frecklewish says she wishes mapleshade was dead. Then mapleshade pulls make a rock covering a nest and a adder comes out and bites frecklewish. Her clan mates try to help but she dies Warrior cats is about groups of cats surviving in the forest, betrayal. Friendship. Royality and battles, they have to fight for stuff and there are 5 different clans Thunderclan Riverclan Shadowclan Windclan Skyclan (I'm pretty sure it was made back into a clan) But also. Kitty heaven is starclan. Kitty hell is the place of no stars aka the dark forest, There are multiple arcs. And 3 prophecys so far Also I recommend you react to the tigerclaw map called sinners! It's a characters backstory. I won't spoil it if you are gonna react to it
Context: This actually is a part of Mapleshade's story! In the map she's the black and orange spider cat. Basically Frecklewish (moth cat) and her brother Birchface (brown and white moth cat) are super close. Birchface gets an apprentice named Flowerpaw (blue cat thats only there for like 2 seconds). They get into a fight with another clan and Appledusk (yellow mantis cat) knocks Birchface into the river, Flowerpaw jumps in to try and save him but both drown and Freckleiwish is devestated and depressed. Mapleshade gets pregnant and in her grief, Frecklwish asks if the father is Birchface. Seeing this as an opportunity to keep her kits safe and says yes, while their actual father is Appledusk, aka the guy who KILLED Birchface. The kits are born and Frecklewish is overjoyed, finally feeling like she has a reason to live again, while Ravenwing (black cat with blue eyes) is suspicious. Ravenwing gets an omen that the kits don't belong there, and after finding out the truth, reveals it to everyone (that's what the scene at 3:15 is, which is why Ravenwing crushes a moth wing and it turns into a mantis arm, because he's exposing Mapleshade's lie about the kits' father) Frecklewish, devastated and furious, attacks Mapleshade and yells at her as she's exiled. Feeling betrayed and heartbroken, she breaks dwn crying while her clanmates look on in pity. She follows Mapleshade to the river to make sure she's left, and seeing Appledusk across the river, assumes she'll be okay and leaves. Obviously, she's not okay, and the whole kits drowning thing happens. Frecklewish is lured away by Mapleshade and gets bit by a snake and dies, which is where the map ends. As for the whole bug thing: It's just an aesthetic for the map, they're not actually insects! Something else to note is that Mapleshade's kits are based on spiders, but Frecklewish sees them as moths because she thinks their father is her brother up until the secret is revealed, then she finally sees them as spiders. It's a cool little detail
I know somebody has probably already explained this before but here's a sum up for this map; Mapleshade (she's the spider btw) has kits, Frecklewish thinks these kits belong to her brother Birchface so because of that she steps in as sort of the replacement father figure. They later figure out that Birchface is not the father and that their father is actually Birchface's killer (Appledusk, he's the mantis.) Frecklewish then gets reasonably upset because Mapleshade manipulated literally everyone and also a dead man to save face. Oh yeah also another reason why Mapleshade and Appledusk is a big thing is because they're from rivaling clans. Appledusk is from Riverclan, Mapleshade is from Thunderclan. I hope this helps! Also if you want more context to this story there's a voice-acted map to a scene in Mapleshade's vengeance.

I've been binge-watching these videos! I recommend Litchi Kitti! She has an...interesting style for sure. It's psychedelic, and is a very rare take on Warriors. These are the two animations she made that I recommend most: 🌟 FIRESTAR 🌟 HERO - This is about the main character of the first series, Firestar. He was originally a kittypet (house cat) named Rusty, but he stepped into the forest one night and his life took a dramatic change as he was invited into a Warrior Cat clan of feral cats. Okay so, the one with the spider eyes is Mapleshade! But this map is from Frecklewish's POV. Starts with showing Frecklewish and her brother Birchface growing up and how close they were, then shows Birchface getting his first apprentice Flowerpaw. We also see Mapleshade meeting and beginning to see her RiverClan mate Appledusk in secret. A battle happens over sunningrocks and Appledusk attacks Birchface, causing him to fall into the river. ThunderClan cats cannot swim the way RiverClan cats can, so Flowerpaw tries to jump in and save him even though she can't swim either because none of the RiverClan cats were going to save an enemy. Both Birchface and Flowerpaw drown and Frecklewish loses her brother. We then see Mapleshade meeting with Appledusk to tell him she is expecting his kittens. Queens don't HAVE to reveal who the father of their ktis are, and when she refuses to speak up, Frecklewish gets suspicious and asks Mapleshade if the kits are Birchface's and she's not telling anyone because she doesn't want to add more grief onto everyone with the realization that he would never see/meet his children. Instead of doing the right thing and telling Frecklewish that they aren't Birchface's kits, Mapleshade stays quiet and lets Frecklewish to believe this to be true, even thought her brother's killer is technically the father of the kits. Frecklewish is excited and happy that a part of her brother lives on in the kits. Ravenwing (black cat), who is the medicine cat of ThunderClan, receives a sign of three river reeds that do not belong. He then sees Mapleshade teaching her kits to swim and realizes they are half RiverClan. He exposes her lies to the Clan leader Oakstar, who is Birchface and Frecklewish's father, and Oakstar reveals her deception to the Clan. In his anger and grief, he banishes Mapleshade from ThunderClan along with her children for taking his son's murderer as a mate. Frecklewish also lashes out, calling both Mapleshade and the kits horrible names that she really shouldn't have, but are understandable given what she just learned. Mapleshade decides to take her kits across the River to RiverClan and their father. The river is flooded from a storm and Mapleshade, as a ThunderClan cat, cannot swim well. And the kits have only ever splashed around in the shallows, so they do not know how to swim either. Despite the danger, Mapleshade decides to make the braindead stupid decision to cross the flooded river when she could have simply travelled another and MUCH safer way to RiverClan territory and her kits drown as a result. Angry at Mapleshade's carelessness getting the kits killed, Appledusk (Who mapleshade had already split up with at this point) apologizes to his leader for breaking the warrior code by mating with Mapleshade and swears he will only be loyal to RiverClan and his new mate Reedshine from now on. Frecklewish, meanwhile, had seen Mapleshade crossing the river, but assumed that the queen and kits would cross safely because she could see the RiverClan patrol on the other side who ultimately ended up saving Mapleshade from the water. Without the kits, RiverClan has no need to shelter Mapleshade, who is an enemy warrior now turned outcast, and they send her away. The anger from losing her Clan and her grief from losing her children cause Mapleshade to go crazy and she decides to kill every cat that has wrong her and led to the death of her kits. She kills Ravenwing, the medicine cat, for having the nerve to share his omen with Oakstar, leading to her exile. She kills Frecklewish because she believed that Frecklewish had seen her and her kits drowning and done nothing to help them. Though honestly, what could Frecklewish have done? We have already established multiple times that ThunderClan cats cannot swim. It would have simply been another needless death even if Frecklewish had seen and tried to help. Finally, Mapleshade decides to kill Reedshine, angry at Appledusk for taking a new mate even though the two of them were no longer together. However, Appledusk leaps into the way of the blow and Mapleshade kills him by accident. Stunned, Mapleshade is unable to defend herself from Perchpaw, Appledusk's apprentice, who attacks her. She flees as Reedshine hisses at her that Mapleshade may have killed Appledusk, but he would live on in the kits she was carrying. Mapleshade ends up dying from her wounds and goes to the Dark Forest, where the evil cats who have commmited atrocities go, the opposite of StarClan. Think Kitty Heaven and Hell. Mapleshade still wants her revenge and so she vows to make all of Appledusk's descendents suffer. And as the book series go on, many of Appledusk's descendents die, lose their own family members in horrible ways, etc. Because she never let go of her grudge. It was also recently revealed that Frecklewish had gone to the dark forest for failing to follow the part of the warrior code that states a warrior must ALWAYS help kits in need. And technically she broke the code when ThunderClan forced Mapleshade and her kits out and again at the river - thought it is established that Mapleshade didn't know the kits were in danger/had died, so it caused a MAJOR uproar in the fandom as many do not believe she belongs in the Dark Forest. .... sorry for the essay. The insect was a theme chosen by the map call to fit the song, it’s not how the books actually are. Anyways! Frecklewish had a brother who dies, mapleshade is suddenly pregnant not long after the death and doesn’t tell anyone who the father is because he’s from a diffrent clan and that’s looked down upon because it’s against their warrior code. But because mapleshade don’t tell anyone who the father is frecklewish assumed it’s her brother. So when the kits are born she treats them as closest family because she believes they are her brothers kits. When it’s revealed that the kits are half clan she is furious that mapleshade let her believe the kits where kin. Mapleshade is banished from their clan and she tries to go to riverclan where the actual father is but in the process the kits drown and frecklewish saw it happened and didn’t do a thing to help because she was so hart broken. Mapleshade isn’t accepted into riverclan and because she has been wronged by so manny she decides to avenge her three kits by killing the three cats who wronged her most. Those being the black cat ravenwing who exposed her kits as halfclan, her former mate Appledusk because he don’t do anything to help her get into his clan and he was also cheating with her in his own mate, and lastly frecklewish because she didn’t help save her kits at all and didn’t try to convince her own clan to keep and forgive her. That’s pretty much the story here. Hope it helped!
I suggest poor thing ashfur and holly leaf map it’s super good, and of course you will be ok mapleshade map, it has no gore just a sweet story of a mother reunited with her kits

Lullaby For a Princess by WarpOut is a gorgeous animation done by a single artist over the course of two years. It's got a story to it that you should be able to follow along with, but the visuals are really nice too 💙
Yeah this is like a bug/fairy house style of Mapleshade’s affair with Appledusk, a cat from a different clan (not allowed to have kits with a cat from a different clan), Mapleshade let’s Frecklewish, the Main character yellow cat, believe that her half-clan kits are the children of Frecklewish’s dead brother, but when the medicine cat who’s name i forgot reveals Mapleshades half clan affair Frecklewish becomes hurt and angry and attacks her, and Maple is exiled. Maple chooses to cross the river while it is storming and her kits drown, and Freckle watched them drown but didn’t help (Frecklewish couldn’t help if she even tried to, she can’t swim) So maple chooses to blame Frecklewish, the medicine cat, and the new mate of Appledusk for her problems and promptly kills all of Them except the new mate who apple sacrificed his life for, then apple’s apprentice (student) fatally wounds Mapleshade and she died and goes on to haunt and terrorize the clans for many years after (sorry for it being so long)

The spider like cat is Mapleshade having kits with Appledusk from river clan. Frecklewish is upset because of Mapleshade having kits with a rover clan warrior that's why she hurt Mapleshade. The insects thing is only like the design.

This is essentially a bug aesthetic map, based around Frecklewish from Mapleshade's Vengeance (You got it right!). It followed the same storyline of the book, but in Frecklewish's perspective
Just for a bit on context this is part of maple'shades story. Freckle'Wish is the cat that you've seen maple killing with a snake. Basically she thought maple had kits with her brother. /She didn't/ this map was basically showing her point of view on the story. Hope that helps! / Also the reason many of the designs of the same Character change during most maps you watch is because many people use different designs for a character to make them stand out. Roblox has a notoriously overactive censorship system, and tends to censor normal names because they somehow set off the censorship algorithm. So people started using apostrophes to split names up, so they'd stop doing that :D

The reason they're sorta bugs in this MAP is to go with the song name! They're all based off some type of bug :D!! Also yes! It's based off Mapleshade!! It goes off a side characters POV after she thinks Mapleshades kits belong to her brother, not another clans cat! Who also killed her brother!
That's why Mapleshade didn't like freckle, as she didn't like how clingy freckle was to the cats she thought were her brothers kits!

Maggot Belly is a bugcore style map that tackles Frecklewishs greif. Frecklewish is a character from Mapleshade Vengance. Frecklewish had a brother (Birchface) she was really close to and who died in battle to another cat, Appledusk. Appledusk is from a neighboring clan that is constantly at battle with Mapleshades and Frecklewishes clan. Mapleshade falls in love with Appledusk and eventually has kits but has to hide who is the father from the clan. In the warrior code (a set of laws made by the original forest cats) it says that relationships from different clans arent allowed. Fewcklewish finds out Mapleshade is having kits and through her greif asks Mapleshade if Birchface was the father. Mapleshade lies and says yes, making Frecklewish believe that her brother lives on in a fellow clan cat. Frecklewish is super happy and helps out Mapleshade with the kits once they are born, essentially being a second mother to the kits. One day, Frecklewish comes back after a walk and sees the clan gathered around Mapleshade and the medicine cat (the one who dropped the bug leg) tells her that Mapleshade is a traitor and that Appledusk is the father. Frecklewish is heartbroken and attacks Mapleshade, breaking down and even calling her kits "half clan creatures". Frecklewish is lead to believe that her brother was the father when the cat who killed Birchface, (Appledusk) was actually the father of Mapleshades kits. After Mapleshade is exilled from her clan, her kits die in a river/flood. Mapleshade swears revenge on all the cats that wronged her, including Frecklewish. According to another cat, Frecklewish had seen Mapleshade cross the river (where Mapleshades kits passed). Mapleshade believes that Frecklewish saw her kits die and didn't help at all so she swears to kill her. As Frecklewish is on patrol, she passes by this pile of rocks with snakes and Mapleshade is there ready to fight her. Frecklewish ends up getting bitten by a snake (in the books she gets bit by a poisonous snake in the eye) and she survives... mostly. After a couple days in the medicine cat den, Frecklewish dies. In a happy ending she wakes up, in cat heaven and sees her brother.
The writers made it so that in the books, Frecklewish is in cat hell, punished for "being angry too long". Which is why the map was made, Frecklewish (although not portrayed properly in Mapleshade's Vengance) is a victim to Mapleshade and her own greif (which is really well displayed in the map imo). It was a shame the writers put Frecklewish there.

Frecklewish had a brother named Birchface who was training a younger cat named Flowerpaw. Mapleshade is dating a cat from another clan named appledusk, which shes not supposed to be doing because hes from another clan. Appledusk kills flowerpaw and Birchface during a clan fight which makes it harder for mapleshade to love him because her entire clan now despises him. When she gets pregnant with appledusk's kits she tells frecklewish that the father is actually birchface and she grows attached to the kits. Eventually she is called out on her lie and frecklewish finds out that these kits are not related to her brother but actually the cat who killed her brother. Mapleshade is exiled and her 3 kits die in a flash flood soon after they leave. She later murders Frecklewish via snake bite, blaming her for her exile and the death of her 3 kits.
Extra note: these cats look like bugs just to fit the theme of the song. Frecklewish is a moth, mapleshade is a black widow, appledusk is a praying mantis, etc. Its just to fit the bug theme of the song! ^^

The song is a vibe and the animations are incredibly good!
Warriors is about a large group of cats, so there's always stories about how different people experience the same event! This IS the same story as Mapleshade, but from one of her victims. She lost her brother, and believed Maple's kids were his before being told that their dad was the one who killed her brother.

You've watched a lot of sad and action filled MAPS recently, so for a nice relaxing change of pace, I would love to suggest Dizzy by Virtualantlers. It's a very sweet LGBTQ pmv about two characters by an amazing artist who did some incredible disney-like animation.
It's sweet, but an au.
So some context. Mapleshade has kits with Appledusk, warrior of Riverclan, who just happened to have just killed Frecklewish’s brother Birchface in a fight. Despite this, mapleshade stays with him and has his kits. When frecklewish asks the father of the kits and asks if it was her brother, Mapleshade says that yes, they are her brother’s kits. Frecklewish falls in love with the kits, but it’s soon revealed that Appledusk is the father. Frecklewish attacks Mapleshade and she and her kits are kicked out. Frecklewish follows them and sees the kits get washed away. She sees a Riverclan patrol arriving so she leaves. It’s revealed later that Mapleshade’s kits did not survive. Mapleshade lures Frecklewish to snake rocks where she is bitten in the eye by an adder. She dies a couple days later from the poison

Basically they’re meant to be insects and yes, this is mapleshade’s story but circled around frecklewish’s life and point of view.

I really love your reaction videos to these maps! As a quick tip, a lot of these maps (especially the newer ones) contain explanations of what is happening throughout it within the description :D plus, many of the newer maps of the warrior cat's community are getting far more stylized and unique, so ones such as these may be a bit more confusing, despite containing some of the same characters you may have seen in different maps. Anywho, keep up with the great work, I look forward to seeing more of your content! :D

When the blue cat has a moth wing in his paw, then it turns into a praying mantis leg, it’s supposed to show how Mapleshade (the spider one) had kits with Appledusk (the praying mantis cat), but told Frecklewish (the main character, moth cat) it was her brother’s kits. Frecklewish gets mad and attacks Mapleshade because Appledusk was the one to kill her brother.

The insect thing is more of a methafore, it’s not what they actually look like.
It’s Mapleshade’s story through one of Mapleshade’s victims eyes, this case it’s Frecklewish (the cat she kills with a snake)
Frecklewish had a brother named Birchface, (the gray cat), who died during a battle as he fell into the river thx to Appledusk. Ever since his death, Frecklewish has been very depressed. Until Mapleshade came into the picture. She was pregnant with Appledusk’s kits, and when Frecklewish asked her if their father was Birchface, Maple stayed silent, allowing the lie to spread.
Frecklewish loved Mapleshade’s kittens, as she thought they were her brother’s, but eventually, her lie was revealed. At first Frecklewish defended Maple, but when there was no denying it, she attacked Maple. Being angry for lying about the father of the kits, as she had been caring for, in her eyes, the kits of a murderer. She would follow them to the river, but leave once the kits fell in there bc she wasn’t able to help them, and trained swimmers were already trying to save them
You should also watch 'Dollhouse: complete whiteout map' it is a wings of fire map and its amazing too! Its about dragons and its stylised just like this, except it has a dollhouse easthetic

It’s a stylistic choice! In Canon, they’re all regular cats but some map designers like to make abstract designs based on the song or lore!
Frecklewish is the second cat that MapleShade killed in her book.
This map is an insight on Frecklewish for a change. Frecklewish’s brother Birchface died in the river, and MapleShade has kits with his (accidental) murderer, Appledusk. Mapleshade lies (by omission) to Frecklewish that her kits are ACTUALLY Birchface’s. Ravenwing finds out the truth and reveals it to the clan (hence, the moth wing in his paw turning into that of a mantis claw.) Frecklewish gets PISSED and attacks MapleShade. MapleShade is exiled and crosses the river, where her kits die. MapleShade, later on, lures Frecklewish into a snake nest and she dies from a bite wound (hence, the intro, where she’s lying on the ground with foam coming out of her mouth.)
The designs were based on insects and arachnids to represent different things. If you notice, when the camera pans out after they say “maggot belly, yeah.” You’ll see references to what just happened in the scene prior!

The map is bug themed for aesthetic purposes, but basically, Frecklewish lost her brother Birchface. The map focuses on her love for him and how much pain she was in to learn Mapleshade lied about her kids being Birchface's (Mapleshade loved a different clan cat named Appledusk, which is strictly against their laws).
So this map focuses on Frecklewish and her greiving up until her death due to a snake bite.

MAY YOU PLEASE, watch “the ghost” by northflowo? It’s a really cool and spooky map! It’s about a mother cat (blue star) having a nightmare of her dead kitten, moss kit. Moss kit died in a blizzard while blue star was trying to take them to live with their father. That’s just a string of backstory but I’m sure others can explain it better
This is from Frecklewish's perspective! Their designs are based off bugs and are entirely just for the aesthetic, hence the song maggot belly ^^ (the backgrounds with the windows are too, it's just for the overall theme!) At the beginning the cat you see, Frecklewish is with is her brother, who got killed by and swept away by the river. and the reason she's upset with Mapleshade at the end is because she thought Maple had kits with her brother. Which is why she was happy to see his legacy living on through Mapleshade's kits, when in reality Maple actually had kits with the guy who KILLED her brother.

Some MAPs have distinct designs, styles, or themes to have unique designs or takes on the narrative. This is just a design choice MAP, but some, like Cheetah Z's, rehash the canon story differently and you can read the descriptions often to find out the storyline since character designs may not always be consistent person to person. Cheetah Z basically has their own intertwining universe loosely based on the canon content, and is currently the most distinct "rewrite", if you will.
While I'd recommend any map about ashfur, another map that i actually just recently discovered myself is Let Me Through, by We Have Candy, it's both beautiful, and somewhat creepy at the same time.

This is actually a AU (ultimate universe) to the book series called warriors, all the cats are half insects in this map. I will explain why the cats are always fighting and this story
Frecklewishs (the yellow moth cat) brother and his apprentice drown. Her brother was attacked by appledusk (the one cat the spider cat was with) in the battle which was what made him fall into the water and drown,
Mapleshade (the spider cat) is pregnant. She tells everyone that the father is Frecklewishs brother instead of appledusk Because the relationship was forbidden (cats from different clans cannot be mates and even worse have kits with each other) and Frecklewish is happy that they are 'her brothers' and spends time with them,
The black cat is ravenwing. He is the medicine cat of the clan which the clan is thunderclan (a medicine cat is the cat who treats the injured or sick cats. And they can communicate to cat heaven which is called starclan) and he gets a omen that mapleshades kits are not birchfaces (frecklewishs brother) and he cannot hide it anymore so he tells the clan. frecklewish refuses for a second before seeing proof of the omen (a moths wing turning into a mantis leg) and screams at mapleshade that she is a traitor, mapleshade leaves with the kits and later frecklewish sees maple crossing the river (which she leaves before mapleshades kits drown) and on mapleshades side she isn't allowed into riverclan. She kills ravenwing later on
Frecklewish was leaded into snakerocks (a place full of snakes. They had blocked off all the snake nests with rocks though) and frecklewish says she wishes mapleshade was dead. Then mapleshade pulls make a rock covering a nest and a adder comes out and bites frecklewish. Her clan mates try to help but she dies
Warrior cats is about groups of cats surviving in the forest, betrayal. Friendship. Royality and battles, they have to fight for stuff and there are 5 different clans

I recommend "Mapleshade's vengeance" by Kelsifer! Is a voice acting map and you'll understand more about her story!
Context:
This actually is a part of Mapleshade's story! In the map she's the black and orange spider cat.
Basically Frecklewish (moth cat) and her brother Birchface (brown and white moth cat) are super close. Birchface gets an apprentice named Flowerpaw (blue cat thats only there for like 2 seconds). They get into a fight with another clan and Appledusk (yellow mantis cat) knocks Birchface into the river, Flowerpaw jumps in to try and save him but both drown and Freckleiwish is devestated and depressed.
Mapleshade gets pregnant and in her grief, Frecklwish asks if the father is Birchface. Seeing this as an opportunity to keep her kits safe and says yes, while their actual father is Appledusk, aka the guy who KILLED Birchface. The kits are born and Frecklewish is overjoyed, finally feeling like she has a reason to live again, while Ravenwing (black cat with blue eyes) is suspicious.
Ravenwing gets an omen that the kits don't belong there, and after finding out the truth, reveals it to everyone (that's what the scene at 3:15 is, which is why Ravenwing crushes a moth wing and it turns into a mantis arm, because he's exposing Mapleshade's lie about the kits' father)
Frecklewish, devastated and furious, attacks Mapleshade and yells at her as she's exiled. Feeling betrayed and heartbroken, she breaks dwn crying while her clanmates look on in pity.
She follows Mapleshade to the river to make sure she's left, and seeing Appledusk across the river, assumes she'll be okay and leaves. Obviously, she's not okay, and the whole kits drowning thing happens. Frecklewish is lured away by Mapleshade and gets bit by a snake and dies, which is where the map ends.
As for the whole bug thing: It's just an aesthetic for the map, they're not actually insects!
Something else to note is that Mapleshade's kits are based on spiders, but Frecklewish sees them as moths because she thinks their father is her brother up until the secret is revealed, then she finally sees them as spiders. It's a cool little detail
I know somebody has probably already explained this before but here's a sum up for this map;
Mapleshade (she's the spider btw) has kits, Frecklewish thinks these kits belong to her brother Birchface so because of that she steps in as sort of the replacement father figure. They later figure out that Birchface is not the father and that their father is actually Birchface's killer (Appledusk, he's the mantis.) Frecklewish then gets reasonably upset because Mapleshade manipulated literally everyone and also a dead man to save face.
Oh yeah also another reason why Mapleshade and Appledusk is a big thing is because they're from rivaling clans. Appledusk is from Riverclan, Mapleshade is from Thunderclan.

Okay so, the one with the spider eyes is Mapleshade! But this map is from Frecklewish's POV. Starts with showing Frecklewish and her brother Birchface growing up and how close they were, then shows Birchface getting his first apprentice Flowerpaw. We also see Mapleshade meeting and beginning to see her RiverClan mate Appledusk in secret. A battle happens over sunningrocks and Appledusk attacks Birchface, causing him to fall into the river. ThunderClan cats cannot swim the way RiverClan cats can, so Flowerpaw tries to jump in and save him even though she can't swim either because none of the RiverClan cats were going to save an enemy. Both Birchface and Flowerpaw drown and Frecklewish loses her brother.
We then see Mapleshade meeting with Appledusk to tell him she is expecting his kittens. Queens don't HAVE to reveal who the father of their ktis are, and when she refuses to speak up, Frecklewish gets suspicious and asks Mapleshade if the kits are Birchface's and she's not telling anyone because she doesn't want to add more grief onto everyone with the realization that he would never see/meet his children. Instead of doing the right thing and telling Frecklewish that they aren't Birchface's kits, Mapleshade stays quiet and lets Frecklewish to believe this to be true, even thought her brother's killer is technically the father of the kits. Frecklewish is excited and happy that a part of her brother lives on in the kits.
Ravenwing (black cat), who is the medicine cat of ThunderClan, receives a sign of three river reeds that do not belong. He then sees Mapleshade teaching her kits to swim and realizes they are half RiverClan. He exposes her lies to the Clan leader Oakstar, who is Birchface and Frecklewish's father, and Oakstar reveals her deception to the Clan. In his anger and grief, he banishes Mapleshade from ThunderClan along with her children for taking his son's murderer as a mate. Frecklewish also lashes out, calling both Mapleshade and the kits horrible names that she really shouldn't have, but are understandable given what she just learned.
Mapleshade decides to take her kits across the River to RiverClan and their father. The river is flooded from a storm and Mapleshade, as a ThunderClan cat, cannot swim well. And the kits have only ever splashed around in the shallows, so they do not know how to swim either. Despite the danger, Mapleshade decides to make the braindead stupid decision to cross the flooded river when she could have simply travelled another and MUCH safer way to RiverClan territory and her kits drown as a result. Angry at Mapleshade's carelessness getting the kits killed, Appledusk (Who mapleshade had already split up with at this point) apologizes to his leader for breaking the warrior code by mating with Mapleshade and swears he will only be loyal to RiverClan and his new mate Reedshine from now on.
Frecklewish, meanwhile, had seen Mapleshade crossing the river, but assumed that the queen and kits would cross safely because she could see the RiverClan patrol on the other side who ultimately ended up saving Mapleshade from the water. Without the kits, RiverClan has no need to shelter Mapleshade, who is an enemy warrior now turned outcast, and they send her away.
The anger from losing her Clan and her grief from losing her children cause Mapleshade to go crazy and she decides to kill every cat that has wrong her and led to the death of her kits. She kills Ravenwing, the medicine cat, for having the nerve to share his omen with Oakstar, leading to her exile. She kills Frecklewish because she believed that Frecklewish had seen her and her kits drowning and done nothing to help them. Though honestly, what could Frecklewish have done? We have already established multiple times that ThunderClan cats cannot swim. It would have simply been another needless death even if Frecklewish had seen and tried to help.
Finally, Mapleshade decides to kill Reedshine, angry at Appledusk for taking a new mate even though the two of them were no longer together. However, Appledusk leaps into the way of the blow and Mapleshade kills him by accident. Stunned, Mapleshade is unable to defend herself from Perchpaw, Appledusk's apprentice, who attacks her. She flees as Reedshine hisses at her that Mapleshade may have killed Appledusk, but he would live on in the kits she was carrying. Mapleshade ends up dying from her wounds and goes to the Dark Forest, where the evil cats who have commmited atrocities go, the opposite of StarClan. Think Kitty Heaven and Hell. Mapleshade still wants her revenge and so she vows to make all of Appledusk's descendents suffer.
And as the book series go on, many of Appledusk's descendents die, lose their own family members in horrible ways, etc. Because she never let go of her grudge. It was also recently revealed that Frecklewish had gone to the dark forest for failing to follow the part of the warrior code that states a warrior must ALWAYS help kits in need. And technically she broke the code when ThunderClan forced Mapleshade and her kits out and again at the river - thought it is established that Mapleshade didn't know the kits were in danger/had died, so it caused a MAJOR uproar in the fandom as many do not believe she belongs in the Dark Forest.

The insect-like cats were just design choices. So were the windows and doors. Also, this did have Mapleshade in it.

This is indeed maple shades story but it’s another cats perspective she killed (Freckle wish to be exact). It’s a bug cat-ish themed animation.
If your looking for a map with a more happy ending I recommend the lemon boy map with breezepelt and crowfeather it’s one of my absolute favorites and it’s super good!

The insect was a theme chosen by the map call to fit the song, it’s not how the books actually are.
Anyways! Frecklewish had a brother who dies, mapleshade is suddenly pregnant not long after the death and doesn’t tell anyone who the father is because he’s from a diffrent clan and that’s looked down upon because it’s against their warrior code. But because mapleshade don’t tell anyone who the father is frecklewish assumed it’s her brother. So when the kits are born she treats them as closest family because she believes they are her brothers kits. When it’s revealed that the kits are half clan she is furious that mapleshade let her believe the kits where kin. Mapleshade is banished from their clan and she tries to go to riverclan where the actual father is but in the process the kits drown and frecklewish saw it happened and didn’t do a thing to help because she was so hart broken. Mapleshade isn’t accepted into riverclan and because she has been wronged by so manny she decides to avenge her three kits by killing the three cats who wronged her most. Those being the black cat ravenwing who exposed her kits as halfclan, her former mate Appledusk because he don’t do anything to help her get into his clan and he was also cheating with her in his own mate, and lastly frecklewish because she didn’t help save her kits at all and didn’t try to convince her own clan to keep and forgive her.
That’s pretty much the story here. Hope it helped!

I suggest poor thing ashfur and holly leaf map it’s super good, and of course you will be ok mapleshade map, it has no gore just a sweet story of a mother reunited with her kits

Yeah this is like a bug/fairy house style of Mapleshade’s affair with Appledusk, a cat from a different clan (not allowed to have kits with a cat from a different clan), Mapleshade let’s Frecklewish, the Main character yellow cat, believe that her half-clan kits are the children of Frecklewish’s dead brother, but when the medicine cat who’s name i forgot reveals Mapleshades half clan affair Frecklewish becomes hurt and angry and attacks her, and Maple is exiled. Maple chooses to cross the river while it is storming and her kits drown, and Freckle watched them drown but didn’t help (Frecklewish couldn’t help if she even tried to, she can’t swim) So maple chooses to blame Frecklewish, the medicine cat, and the new mate of Appledusk for her problems and promptly kills all of Them except the new mate who apple sacrificed his life for, then apple’s apprentice (student) fatally wounds Mapleshade and she died and goes on to haunt and terrorize the clans for many years after (sorry for it being so long)

The spider like cat is Mapleshade having kits with Appledusk from river clan. Frecklewish is upset because of Mapleshade having kits with a rover clan warrior that's why she hurt Mapleshade. The insects thing is only like the design.
the black cat who drops a cricket leg means that Frecklewish's brother (brown and white drowned cat) isnt the father of mapleshade's kits but appledusk is. witch is forbidden because he's in another clan.
