The cop was not trying to catch him. Just keeping behind him until he makes a mistake and informs other police where he is. Finnish motorcycle police are one of the best in the world.

They’re pretty chill. And they definitely know how to ride bikes and if you “get away” from them, it’s most probably because they let you. And then they’ll be on your door one day.

Thanks for reacting to this video. At the end you can faintly hear what the arrested guy said to the chasing policeman: "You drove fucking well. I got to admit."

7:26 is actually at the border of Helsinki and Espoo. The buildings are in Espoo but it's only a few kilometres west from central Helsinki.

The Finnish motorcycle police are relentless. It is really hard to become one. Even the entry exam is pretty demanding. A police officer should preferably have years of experience with bikes before they can even apply for the training.

That’s what I like about Finnish motorcycle police. They’re bikers.

17:24 hard to block road when he's running away at 150-300 km/h :D
The funny thing is that it doesn't matter if you run away at 150 km/h or 280 km/h, the penalty doesn't increase much in practice. Fines of a few hundred euros, driver's license taken away and maybe a few months of suspended imprisonment.

At the end you can hear the police discussing about him hiding something and getting a K9 to check the area.

When someone is on amphetamine, he/she has super fast reaction times (no wonder it's called "speed"). Really difficult to catch them - but on the other hand, police will eventually chase them down, no matter what. Nowadays it's just impossible to win against a Finnish motorcycle cop. Sooner or later, they will catch you. Always. Police have so many advantages, like live traffic cameras, radio communications between police units, centralized co-ordination and planning HQ, years of training, etc - even taxi drivers co-op with cops - so good luck trying to escape :)

The first 7 min 30 sec they are in Helsinki (just under 700.000 inhabitants) and the rest of the chase is in Espoo (the second largest city in Finland with 310.000 people and suburb of Helsinki at the same time). The video starts in Lauttasaari and at 5:00 they are heading towards the city centre before turning west on road 51 and Kuitinmäentie. Then they head north on Finnoontie, driving around in Espoon Keskus and Tuomarila before heading back south on Finnoontie, where the chase ends.

The first time I saw this, the thought was how much gas is enough? Tossa cities change quickly. The average speed is estimated to be around 160 kilometers per hour

The chase was on my home grounds, on most roads I could place it on the map and from experience predict the upcoming curves and features. Stopping anyone with a motorcycle is dependent on the subject's willing to stop, just keep eyes on the running one and as previously said wait for a mistake or a larger response to affect an actual stop. One getting away is not the worst, the wheels of the investigative system may grind slow but a person escaping in a chase will very probably get caught later for that or something else. Any injury to unrelated parties or the officer are the worst outcomes.

The road from bad guy turned away and fell was same, which they few minutes earlier drove into opposite direction. And his bike had two side bags at the beginning . First fell at that breaking on the motorway, and second at 16:00.

there should never be chases like this, the one in front has a passenger on board, what can be so important that such a mindless yacht is justified... there could have been bad things because of one over-eager policeman

    Excellent vid :)
Im Finnish, and have been watching your channel for quite a long time. I have wanted to say this for awhile, but being so shy I waited someone else to post it first. But since no one did:
I think you would like to see/listen/react to a 3min song called "Sauna Nokia" by Retronyymi. It has all the finnish cliches in one song, and for now I think you will recognize most of them. Or if not, it will be a learning experience :D I'm pretty sure if you ask your community, they would agree.
And sorry if you have already reacted to that and I just managed to miss it 😅
