May have been a transmission issue. Seemed like there may have been issues getting into third gear. Regardless he just stuck with the chase, forcing an error without making a fatal one of his own.
It's worth noting that it can be really hard to hear/feel the bike bouncing the rev limiter with so much wind and the sirens. It would already take a pretty skilled rider to shift absolutely optimally. I'm sure the adrenaline of being in such a high speed chase didn't help either - the amount of concentration required for that kind of riding might leave you forgetting to shift a couple times.

Our jail sentences are a joke. The man escaping here had killed a man in 2002 and in 2014 he was already free and shot someone in the leg with a shotgun (did not die). And now in 2016 (this chase was in last summer) he was free again and only got a 23 month sentence from this. He will probably be free in less than 12 months thanks to "good behavior" and all that shit. The passenger probably will not go to jail when he can just say "I told him to stop!" lol and all charges will be dropped. Harvemmin nää takaa-ajovideot päättyy kaatumiseen kävelyvauhdist :D Ennemmin se on joku pölypilvi minkä keskelt löytyy kuski ja tämmöses tapaukses myös kyytiläine pahas kunnos. Kannattaa ajaa vaan köykäsemmil pyöril.. Takaa-ajo ois ollu lyhyempi ja voitokkaampi kun ois siirtyny tieltä pois

Skootteri menee jonku 160-170, nuo poliisin oikiat moottoripyörät ei mahda olla alle litrasia yksikään. Adventuret menee yli kahtasataa, kyykyt ainakin 250.
Mun mielestä pitäis poliisilla olla oikeus selkeään kiilaukseen ja päättää tällainen kaahailu mahd pian. Se on sitten ihan sama kuoleeko kaahari siinä. Se ei ketään kiinnosta. Tähän olis ollu mahdollisuus jo tuolla alkuvaiheessa. Nyt pitkä takaa-ajo ja monien sivullisten henki vaarassa ja sitten kaahari saa pari viikkoa ehdollista.

finnish police dont have own helis, they borrow helis from finnish border patrol. But border patrol cant always supply heli very fast and this could happen.
