▬ A NOTE ON USING LED LIGHTS AS HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENTS ▬
Aim your headlights AT LEAST once a year and ALWAYS after replacing the bulbs.
If the cutoff is bad or you can’t aim them accurately or the light output scatters, it is NOT safe to use. Try a different style of LED or one with a lower output that will be more compatible with your light housing. See my other videos for more reviews.
When I use the word “headlights”, I am referring to legal off-road use or fog light use only as replacing factory halogen bulbs with LEDs for headlights in the US is not currently legal nor a DOT approved practice. Thanks for an excellent review. Had you tried bevinsee v55 70 watts, the opposite of lasfit LS
@@rondhole I JUST received the V55. It is on my workbench, ready to be tested! Stay tuned!
@@CarLightReviews Thanks a lot. We are very interested in how the heat management in the newer design. what I found very helpful is how the mapping or profile of the intensity over the wide area. Not just the maximum intensity. I know it is more tedious but give us better picture how the light is distributed. Just like how projector has lower peak brightness but more homogenous over wide area than reflector headlight.
Have a look: ruclips.net/video/m6YYiKX2gCY/видео.html
There is not a single review channel out there that can compete with yours. Hands down, yours is number one. No doubt. Someday you might even test some of the H4 bulbs so we can see how bright the high beams are compared to the low beams. The ratio has been an issue with some manufacturers.
Aw shucks, there's PLENTY of great review channels out there. But thanks so much for the great compliment, it means a lot. I would like to test the H4 bulbs, but right now I am a one-man show and I only have so much in my budget and so many hours in a day! 🤪
Yes I bought AUXBEAM GX series H4, but high beam is not as good as low beam. But for single point led they are best , I bought HB3 for high beam and they are eye crushing.
I bought this light based on your review, so far I like it alot. Worked well in a snow storm, almost no reflection off the snow. Nice wide beam pattern, no noticeable dead spots.
Now lets see how long it last.
Glad I could help! Let me know how it goes.
I bought the regular Lasfit headlights 5 years ago for $27 off ebay and one just went out today. I would never spend $100 for headlights
@@bobbyheenan4061 LED technology has come a long way in the past 5 years. How do you know they were any brighter than halogen at any point while you were using them?
@@CarLightReviews because they replaced the original halogen lights on my truck and I wouldn't want them any brighter than these. I already looked up my purchase from 5 years ago and the seller is still selling the same one's for $31 now. $100 is beyond ridiculous for headlights and I'm not looking to get pulled over for obnoxiously bright lights.
Thanks for compiling all this data and sharing the spreadsheet!
Glad you are finding the data useful, and than you VERY much for supporting Car Light Reviews!
Hey, I was just looking into these today. Just my luck that you reviewed them for me.
Glad I could help! What did you think of the light?
@@CarLightReviews a couple of people I know are running these. Just wanted to know the specs and what you thought of them vs what I'm running at the moment. In the reflector housing, it doesn't look as focused as some of the other bulbs you tested. The cutoff line on top isn't clean like the other very bright bulbs. I think they work best in a projector.
I really appreciate you mentioning fan noise in your more recent reviews. Although it's subjective it's a important metric that often flies under the radar.
You bet. Most lights I test seem to be around the same noise level, some louder, some quieter but not a huge variance in either direction...at least not that I notice...but these...wow, they were very noticeable! However, they definitely work! 😲
Ordered a pair of their 9012s.. they list them a little different on their website over what you stated.. not sure if they made them better maybe.. but im looking forward to trying them after having no luck with other leds.. the hid was good that I got for about 2 years.. but a life time warranty meant nothing when they changed all the parts and the quality of things went way down hill from H.E.. so here we are! Thanks for the info!
Any plans on testing the Lasfit LA plus? They are one step beneath these around $50-$60. Would be interested to see how they stack up to others in that price range.
Another informative and welcomed review. Never would have thought of considering the Lasfit bulbs until your review. One thing I’ve learned since watching your reviews is to pay close attention to whether you need to reaim projector housings with the bulbs you test. To me this means the hotspot will be projected way out in front as it should or if it will be projected lower meaning lighting up way too much the area immediately in front of the car. To me I prefer way out in front illumination and these and the Auxbeam seem to be ideal. Anywho, thanks for the time you put in to these reviews. It helps that my projectors use H11 also. 😊
Phenomenal video. I've been running the last fit LS bulbs on my 2018 Chevy Impala and these are the best ones that I've ever tested on this car so far. I'm glad to see the empirical evidence shows the result.
I've recently purchased the acuma Nova s which is the hikari titanova clone and I was not a very big fan of the bluish color. Also the titanova did not work very well in the projectors in my car for some reason the beam was very narrow. The LS has a much Fuller and wider beam and I also like the neutral white color it has. Thanks again for the testing
Thanks for the thanks, and also for sharing your experience with the Acuma. I wonder if they were defective or just didn't like your housing?
@@CarLightReviews yeah I think my oem projectors were the problem. They are super sensitive as far as the led chip placement goes and Chevy didn't put a very good quality projector in there. Sometime in the future I'll do a NHK IV plus bi led projector retrofit to the headlights but for now I'm happy with the lasfit.
@@Potatorq That's not surprising. In my 2020 Colorado, the projectors are just _OK_. I upgraded to the DDM Saber ProX 55w Accu/V2 and it helped quite a bit...but still not as good as what it should be. Keep me posted on how the retrofit works out!
@@CarLightReviews I've heard great things about the DDM tuning LEDs. How would you say they compare against the last fit LS?
I've also retrofitted a cheap bi LED projector from eBay on my 03 Dodge ram and the results were amazing. They were definitely better than the vast majority of OEM headlights on the road. I made a video about it on my channel. So I can't wait to see what some high-end projectors like the nhk iv can do and I'll make definitely make a video whenever I complete that project
Any recommendations about the best T10 bulb we can find cross the web?
Thank you for your review, as always lots of info and great results. More power to you and your channel.
Much appreciated!
Dude you do fantastic work! Awesome channel keep up the greatness! I do have a question. Is it worth it to pay double the money for LS plus over LA plus??
Thanks. I wish I could tell you but I haven't tested the LA plus. If you like Lasfit lights and can fit the LS Pro Series (ruclips.net/video/XZplaXtTum0/видео.html) then get them. If you can't but you can fit the LS Plus in this video...I say do it. It not, the LA plus series might work but again...can't tell you for sure as I haven't tested them. See my other videos for ideas on other lights.
@@CarLightReviews thanks. I think I will go with ls plus. They may have discontinued the ls pro, i can't find it anywhere.
I'd love to see how a Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0 stacks up against the bulbs you tested. I installed some in my suv with halogen projectors and the cutoff is incredibly sharp. They also run a lot cooler than the other led bulbs I bought for the high beam (Fahren H7 60W). Let me know what you think of them.
I did test them when they first came out on my other channel using slightly different test methods. ruclips.net/video/0N9419LxeIU/видео.html
I do plan to retest them here using my current methods. They are a GREAT light.
@Chance Which ones? The ones in this video or the 2stroke 3.0?
@Chance Wow...that's one heck of a struggle. Sorry to hear of it. Check my latest video here: ruclips.net/video/YMxLhQtwB7I/видео.html Hope it helps!
What's the brightest bulb lasfit has
Thanks for this review. So will the pro series review be next? :)
I wouldn't say "next", but possibly in the future. Do you think I should?
@@CarLightReviews I ended up purchasing a pro series set based off hopeful extrapolation of the efficiency of the heat management system on these. Comparing that to that larger heat sink and a copper board rather than aluminum, I’d be curious how they truly stack up through your tests
@@jbartates I do plan to test them in the future, let me know what you think of them when you get them!
@@CarLightReviews I’ve installed the pro series on my reflector high beams (2020 Honda passport) they are significantly brighter than the halogens. The heat sink was as huge as it looked in this video. Looking forward to the numbers it produces in your testing if/when you do review them. Thanks again
@@jbartates Thanks for the info. I do expect to review and test them in the future. I am interested in finding out as well!
@CarLightReview
Could u do get all the lasfit products, such as L1 plus, LC plus, LA plus, LD plus please? Since u did the LS plus and LS Plus PRO.
And I also want to see how bright, the lumens, etc for 3000K as well for the LD plus?
Thanks for the review. The coupon code didn't work for me on Amazon. However, there is a checkbox for an $11 discount bringing them to $98.
Thanks for the info! It looks like it only works for the H11 size right now, but I will reach out to Lasfit and see if they can fix that. Thanks again!
How does lasfit compare with auxito? I have lasfit in my 2020 GTI because it’s one of the only buibs that has the right adapter for my car. I see auxito now has one so I’m wondering if I should stick with what I got or buy new ones
I'm trying to decide between the LSplus and the Auxito Y19. These would be 90012 bulbs for a 2018 Rav4. Any recommendations?

@@CarLightReviews you should test out the Acuma brand is like the Hikari, but off brand. To see if theirs any differences. One would be price, but still would be good to see.
Theses are like light bars. I have them on a ram 1500 they’re the best leds I’ve had.
Yep, they are pretty impressive!
@CarLightReview
If u had to choose for 9005 high beams, between Auxito - Q16 vs. Lasfit - LS plus while u have led bulbs with external driver in low beams, which do u go for, and why?
One had high power output for an all in one unit and the retention drops a lot, or u prefer a much higher brightness and retains an impressive retention percentage overtime?
Because I want something much much brighter than my lasfit LAair, both got two year warranty.
I’m stuck on Q16 or a reliable LS plus.
And it’s for 9005 high beam reflector housing.
Would like to see you test Lasfit pro series
I have a set of them in line to be tested, stay tuned!
I was thinking a set of Lasfits for my lowbeam but pretty sure these wouldn’t fir in the lowbeam projector housing in my 2017 Toyota Highlander.
Hi are these bright in low beam mode to the point of blinding oncoming traffic.Just wanted to know before buying.
That is dependent on your specific headlight housing and if it can handle the light output, so it is very hard to say ahead of time.
Awesome review. Can't wait to try the custom mount ones on my Hyundai Tucson.
That's one thing I noticed about Lasfit...they offer some lights that are vehicle-specific, which I don't see many companies doing.
I really hope these work out I just got h11’s and 9005’s for my Jeep

Will you do a Lasfit Pro-FD-01L review and test in the 2018 Ford F150 halogen housing? I’m particularly interested how they perform with their dust cap with integrated fan against the GTR Ultra 2. Thanks
Scatter is horrendous in the reflector lamp. Was it mounted 9-3 or 12-6 position?
Yep, it did struggle. It was mounted in the proper 9-3 position.
@@CarLightReviews who defined 9-3 as proper? i would try it in the 12-6 position. In my car LEDs only give a factory quality beam in the 12-6 position, nothing works in the 9-3 position. Its a Ford Tourneo/Transit Courier.
@@kenzohkw Who? The manufacturers the LED light units. Look at how the reflector is designed. You should see edges built into the reflector bowl. You want to align the LED chips to fire perpendicular to those edges. Most are vertical, so like projector housings, you want the LED chips to be in the 3 and 9 o'clock position. However, a small percentage of OEM reflector designs have those edges on an angle. If that is the case, you want to adjust the LED chips to shine perpendicular to those edges for proper alignment.
I recently got Soretor LED bulbs, Hb3/9005 for my low beam projector headlights. They're 4300K, 110watts (55w/bulb), 20,000 lumens (supposedly). So far, it's been doing great, but if you can get your hands on them, I'd love to see your testing and review of them. If they had 5000K or 5500K, I'd choose that, but 4300K is next to perfect coming from halogens.
It doesn't look like I can get them in my area. But thanks for the suggestion!
Love your videos!
I recently upgraded my f150 with the same reflector housing as you use in your testing to the Firehawk bulbs you reviewed. The high beam is really bright but the low beam is dimmer than I was expecting but does have a nice pattern and cut off... Is this do to the 'cover' over the bulb that the high beam does not have or the lower output of the h11 bulb itself?
Would like to find something that throws more light...
I didn't modify my test headlights in any way, and that cover is there by design. My question is...how do you know for sure the low beam is dimmer? :)
I'm pretty sure this is everything I wanted in a led light. I'm gonna give them a try . I was going for the Hikari but I wasn't that worried with having the brightest. I want bright but not blinding . I wanted reliable separate driver great heat disapation. It seems to be a great made led bulb. Thanks for the review bud !!
You bet, hope you like the light!
I was looking at these for my 2015 ram, any chance you could give a recommendation for what would be the brightest/most durable?
Durable is subjective and something I am unable to test effectively. However, you can see what is brightest so far here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs
I know this doesn't exactly answer your question but it should get you started.
Has anyone tried "blacking out" the top of a reflector housing to prevent blinding on-coming drivers??
Personally, I wouldn't. If you are blinding oncoming drivers, you either need to re-aim your headlights or your housings don;t like the bulbs you are using, they might be too powerful and are overloading the capability of the light.
@@CarLightReviews Thanks for the reply. I haven't tried any LEDs yet but I notice on watching the patterns on reflectors, there's a lot of light scatter at the top of the pattern even with stock bulbs - adding more lumens will only make it worse. Projectors seem to clip the top cleanly. My car has abysmal lighting (Mazda Tribute with reflectors), and I'd love to bump it up even a wee bit but I don't want to blind others.
@@ohger1 Unfortunately, some light housings simply do not do well with anything but the halogen bulbs they were originally designed for. Time for a new car! 🤣
new subscriber here, thanks man for checking sharing info
Thanks for the sub!
So do you think this is brighter than the Hikari? I have the hikari 2022 and it’s bright, but I want brighter
Compare the data here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs
In a reflector housing, should the thinner part of the blade be facing up or down?
In most applications, you want the thinner part up, with the cord pointing down in the back. Just make sure that the LED chips are pointing perpendicular to the ridges in the reflector bowl.
Can you test the lasfit LCplus?
U need to do the test for about 3 hrs or more I live in nyc and there is always freaking traffic
The results will be typically the same for most lights, which level off and regulate well before the 27 minute mark.
Out of all the led bulbs on Amazon, what would you recommend for h11 around $50
@john holena i know the question is not for me but I want to help you out. I personally have tried many and for the price I would recommend Auxito Y13 H11 for a projector housing style. I have had them on my car for 2 years now and my commute is about 3hrs a day total. They are reliable and bright for the price. I am going to give these lasfit a try because they are brighter but I have been really happy with the Auxito.

You failed to mention that the SEPARATE ballast/control unit is BEST for heat control and longevity, NOT being packed in there tightly with the hot light, as the One-Piecers do, permitting BETTER COOLING.
Very true. I do mention it now and then, more often in the all-in-one reviews videos I make.
Hey which led bulb u think is best overall the lasfit ls plus or hikari titanova
My definition of "best overall" may be different than yours. You have to define what is most important in an LED lighting upgrade. Brightness? Value? Quality? Pick two of the three. Then, take a look at my spreadsheet at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and review/compare the data based on the two categories you chose.

Not accurately, I am sorry to say. I don't know your vehicle or HID specs and output as I haven't yet tested HIDs, but I do plan to in the future.
@@CarLightReviews I was thinking of replacing my HIDs with an aftermarket LED product. Thought you might know...
@@natnut2008 I wish I did but there's a lot to consider. If your HIDs are very well designed and engineered, an LED might be a step back. Also consider that over time, HIDs do start to dim in terms of peak output so if your HIDs are older or you don't find an LED that works for you as a replacement, consider new HID components.

What is your headlight size(s)?
If it’s have halogen bulbs, u still do. Just because it doesn’t show on the list, doesn’t mean u can’t
We wanna see you driving with them
Thanks for the suggestion. It is a common one, but I consider this...
My test environment, however basic, is much more consistent than the false expectation of comparing MY tarmac, gravel, and asphalt conditions to YOUR tarmac, gravel, asphalt conditions. They are not the same, and that's not even considering ambient light like street lights, moonlight, starlight, fog or moisture in the air which can change everything.
Any video that shows lighting road tests at night using a camera (which still cannot compare to the human eye or even the basic lux sensor that I use) as '"real world" is misleading. It is unfairly assuming that you have the same exact camera and environment conditions that they have, every time you drive. Under certain conditions and camera settings, I can make even a keychain flashlight appear as bright as the sun.
That is why I made this channel and why I am very specific about using the exact same conditions for my tests...every test, every time, using the exact same equipment settings and environment. That way, you can see actual "real world" data on how each light compares to each other, and compared to halogen. Actual DATA tells the story. Someone's highly variable camera output does not.
If you are simply buying on brand name or someone's "road tests", you don't have the full story. Again, actual DATA tells the truth.
@@CarLightReviews Understood. Thanks for the insight.

Why you don’t put into car so we can actual brightness instead a room
I get that request often, but doing so wouldn't be "actual" brightness because it is not in a controlled environment. My road view might make a headlight look very bright or very dim compared to your road view. That's why I do the same test in the same environment every time. My data tells the truth in my videos at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs

I hope to see LED prices eventually come down. Considering the number of LED bulbs on the market today, $100+ is a bit excessive.
Make OFFERS ON EBAY U CAN TAKE BY $95
Much rather keep and continue to use the GTR Ultra 2 bulbs. Not a fan of knockoff Chinese made bulbs. Not the same quality and clarity.
While I wholeheartedly agree that the GTR Ultra 2 is the highest quality LED light upgrade you can buy (and you will see me mention that again in a video that I release tomorrow), where do you think they are made?
There’s nothing knockoff about it. Lasfit are the real deal automotive led products.
Do not buy these. Poor quality. I put lasfit plus switchbacks (yellow/white) in my fogs and the yellow LEDs have died after less than 2 years of time and NOT daily driving. I maybe drive this car 2-3 times a week, if that, and they're dead.
For $100, I expected much, much longer life and quality.
These are not the same lights you installed as they are not switchback lights. Did you reach out to Lasfit and see if they could remedy the problem?
I’d still recommend having lasfit ld pmus switchback. They are a must have. Even if it’s an issue. It’s still get them. Sometimes it creates into a defects.
Lasfit products are a must have.
I put this in my 2004 tundra they are horrible, waste of money.
What was horrible about them?
Nah lol. These led perform very well.
Is ur reflector headlights cleaned up or replace?
That's a ridiculous rip-off for an LED headlight
Lol wrong.
The higher the quality of the led bulbs, the more wattage and lumens it makes, the higher the price.

@@bobbyheenan4061 after 6 years, did u notice any slight of degrading ur led lights?
@@toyotabrony btw, LED lights do not "degrade" over time. They are electrical filaments, so they either work, or they don't. When an LED goes bad, it will flicker on and off, but the brightness remains the same. I would avoid the cheap LEDs sold online for interior lighting, turn signals, brake lights, etc. Those are cheap products that fail rapidly. Lasfit LED headlights at the $30 price point are top notch! They have cooling fans in them that prevent overheating and they last long, SIX years and counting!
