I bought the two-tone version of this watch in 1989 in Geneva. It was available only at Tiffany's in the United States but had a certain popularity in England because of full-page ads in the Economist. The watch had a heritage and more complications than most watches except for the very most expensive. The replacement OEM ostrich strap was quite expensive and had to be replaced once a year. I then bought the two-tone metal bracelet in Hong Kong that went with the watch.
I have other watches but this is the one I wear most of the time. The watch came with many complications, but I came to regret the absence of a second hand. Newer versions have second hands and have tiny knobs tht can be pressed by a finger rather than a pusher gizmo to set the complications. The watch at 34mm is small by current standards but does fit well on the wrist. With my eyes being three plus decades older than when I bought the watch, some of the complications have become hard to read. I still consider the watch beautiful. It now has a lot of sentimental value.

Hi Edward B, thank you so much for sharing your story and insights. I really enjoyed reading it and learning about details of the new version. So, no pusher gizmo anymore. Maybe more practical to have knobs but in my opinion this gizmo makes it special, too.
Yeah, you are right the small size does not help with reading. Gary did not talk about, yet ;)
From a mechanical point of view, I am still fascinated what can be achieved to put all this complications in such a small case. Enjoy wearing your two-tone version and have a nice day.
