I have had the Garmin Epix Pro 2 for about nine months and it has been great. One issue in the last few weeks though was it all of a sudden started to show the elevation (at home when changing/updating in the early AM as about 30 feet less than before). I'm on my third upgrade in the Garmin watches. Started with an Instinct, then a Venu 2, and now Fenix 6X Pro Solar. I've always had Android Phones so no Apple Watches, but tried 4 or 5 other brands over the years. I was always dissapointed in the battery life in all of them. I agree with you on the interface and wish all the interaction was with the App. I have loved Garmin's handheld GPS units and they were always fairly intuitive, they don't want to let fully integrate the App so you have to go to the "Desktop" and version.
I am a fan of the Ultra and the Epix 2 pro. Constantly switching between the two. Their differences are clear to me. I think for the most part I have settled on the Garmin. As a runner who cares about data and as someone who likes to switch from Apple to Android the Epix 2 pro wins. I totaly agree with your comments. I have a note 9 and iphone 13 mini (best phone, I love it) I was considering a apple watch for the ability to take & make calls and texts.. Where I'm at a disadvantage is I have the original Venu 2s, So as you know it doesnt have a mic or speaker, If I had the Venu plus or the Venu 3 I'd be dead happy.. Especially now they have upgraded Garmin Connect.. Its funny, if i get a call it shows up on the watch, it even lets me take the call by pressing the green phone icon, but then i have to go find my phone quickly, or people just hang up. I wonder if i could sell my venu2 and upgrade..
For my fenix 7 pro I had the same description saying that I needed to update the software using a computer, but I just went to the settings in the watch and clicked "check for updates" and then it updated itself over wifi and then I could install spotify no computer needed and took about 10 minutes.
I have moved from Apple Watch Ultra to the Epix Gen 2 because I like having more fitness data and am willing to give up on having a better smartwatch experience. I like having all the data in one place with Garmin instead of having to download 5 apps and subscribe in order to get the same functionality to track my fitness on Apple Watch. Loving the battery life, I get about 5 days with everything on at the highest settings and workout every day, but that's way better than a day on AWU.

If you dont mind, could you share what is your wrist size? So i could have an idea on how the watch would look on my wrist.. By the way the version you wearing is 51mm right?
Very good but apple s really accurate too, whzt makes garmin different s the data they give, body battrry snd continous tracking of key indicator due to the great battery life
Amazing video. I own Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Epix pro 51mm. Since I go on backpacking trips and hike, the Garmin is a no brainer. I use maps a lot. If I had to choose one device it would be the Garmin. I love the Apple Watch, but it falls so short in what matters to me the most -battery life and mapping. Yes, there are annoyances about the Garmin such as: lag, gesture mode not as snappy, clunkyness of software, no cellular connectivity etc. The Apple Watch is great but in order to get the Garmin functionality I have to get multiple apps. The Garmin saved me from going off route while hiking which could’ve put me in a dangerous situation. It is a fantastic fitness tool. Besides, the Garmin looks so much better on the wrist imo. For now, I’ll keep both but if Garmin improves software and adds cellular I will drop the AW.
thank you so much! The maps on this is fantastic! Agree on celular, that would be a nice feature, if Garmin ever brings it to their watches. Also agree on looks, this is superb!
Garmin did an LTE version of their forerunner 945. Not sure how it went though but it would be great to have as a norm on their watches going forward 😊
I replaced a AWU2 with a Garmin Tactix Delta that I bought on a steep discount from a jeweller that was going out of business. Even this 2019 based Garmin blows away the AWU2 in so many areas that it's hard to believe.
AWU2 is a 70% a smartwatch and 30% a sport watch, the Garmin Tactix Delta is 90% sportwatch and 10% smartwatch.. These are two different watches for different purposes. I find receiving and returning calls, receiving messages and responding, and reading social media and news items more important to me than constantly being involved in sports. And for you this is probably the other way around. That's why the AUW2 suits me better and the Garmin suits you better.
@@Tha-King-Arthurit’s very interesting how my opinion changed when I did start using the Garmin. Either the battery of the AWU2 was dead, I had no cell reception etc. but I like your approach and who knows what both companies have in their pipeline for future releases.👍🙏
I use the Welltory app on my Samsung Watch 5 Pro, and I'd recommend the app if you want more data and even more on the paid version. I also use the Epix Pro Gen 2 51mm and swap between this and my Samsung (with welltory). I'm torn between the two watches, to be honest. Happy you mentioned Welltory as all most on RUclips only talk about the Athletic app. The Samsung for me also has better sleep tracking in comparison to the Garmin Epix Gen 2 and catches all my naps.
Great content, as always. Thanks, Alex! Congrats also on the 100k subscribers! Well deserved! I originally bought a Garmin Fenix 5X back in 2019. I upgraded to a Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Solar last year (great clearance deal from Garmin - otherwise I would have gone with the 7X Pro Solar). I bought my wife a Garmin 6 Solar (coming from Fitbit) last year also. We're both enjoying our Garmin watches!
Thank you for the kind words! I might look into that clearance deal myself! Already returned this bad boy, but now I want one for myself! Now reviewing the Fenix 7x Pro solar. What a beast too!
I had an Epic Pro 42mm for a few months after getting it on a great sale, then ended up selling it for a profit. I regret getting rid of it, the flashlight alone was a game changer, it was so much more useful than I thought. I hope the 47mm model comes on sale some time soon, such a great watch.
I have the 7x pro and can’t imagine going back. Love the MIP as it’s more discrete and always on but the epix is incredible too. I want both lol. Great video!
How to clean the watch after daily use? Should I wash it with soap like washing hands? I live in moist and hot country. I will never put my watch on bed with all the sweat and dust after use.
Bom dia! Tudo bem ? Obrigado pelo vídeo. Em relação ao garmin epix gen 2 pro e o Apple ultra 2. Qual tua opinião sobre? Qual o melhor pro dia dia? Muito obrigado
8:19 You can pause/resume workouts on the Apple Watch Ultra just by hitting the action button and side button at the same time and since they are on opposite sides of the watch it's very easy to do this. Also if you just have a normal Apple Watch you can hit the side button and digital crown at the same time to pause/resume.
Hey Alex, thanks for the awesome review! 🙌 I was a bit worried when I saw the leather band in the water, but I guess they thought of that too. How often did you update the software on it? As you mentioned, that process needs some improvement. They need to implement wireless charging somehow as well.
Beautiful looking watch Alex. I do like that sapphire crystal. Having used Garmin equipment in aviation for years it doesn't surprise me their data is top-notch especially when it comes to GPS and fitness tracking. This display seems nice and bright and clear. Have a great weekend Alex 👊🙏
Totally agree Don, they really seem to make the most of their GPS infrastructure. Superb device, shame I had to send it back to them but now I am hooked 😂
Apple Watches have failed me, in regards to heart monitor readings, and workouts, due to my tattoos. I’ve tried 3 variants and always the same problem. Wanted to stay in the Apple ecosystem, but Garmin seems to be superior in a lot of ways. Thanks for the video.
Apple watches (Ultra 1/2, S9 models) are the best watches available (yes! This is tested and 100% a fact).. The only thing a Garmin does is giving more sport information and more battery life.. But the interface is slow and laggy, and the screen is just awefull.. That's why the battery on a Apple device is empty faster then on an Garmin.. It's like Apple 2000-3000 nits vs Garmin 750-1000 nits? A better CPU vs a worse CPU.. Not worth 1000$..
@@Tha-King-Arthur I'm curios what are this smart features that you really use on your AWU ? Don't tell me that you read your emails on your watch or you post something on Facebook etc ? And if you are a guy who check emails and some social network posts during your run or gym sessions, then you are not serious in what you do in your sport activity. In my opinion this smart features that many users of "smartwatches" invoke them are just some marketing gimmics.
My issue with these smart watches is accuracy. I simply trust the resources that Apple puts into its smart watch to make sure its the most accurate. And many youtube channels have proven, it is in deed the most accurate.
@@AlexGTech Awesome Thanks for getting back to me influencer man!. I'm stuck between this and the Marq series. Leaning towards the Epix because of the bigger screen size. I haven't found a good comparison between the Marq Gen 2 and the Epix Gen 2, giving you content ideas :)
There are great reviews from channels like DCRainmaker but the pro has the upgraded HRM, skin temperature thermometer, ECG, and a built-in flashlight. It also comes in three different sizes which was the main reason I've purchased mine (small wrists team). It would also make sense to future-proof yourself when it comes to software upgrades since Garmin stop delivering those after a couple years to older models.
This is a great review, and this is exactly where I’m at right now trying to choose between the two, I’m definitely going with the 51 mil Garman Epic pro to Sapphire
Alex, did you say you only have to charge your Epix Pro (Gen 2) every three weeks? Even with always on display and doing some workouts? I can go about 3-4 weeks with my Garmin Instinct 2X but would consider the Epix if it really lasted that long. I don't really like having the screen off on my watch. Hence my move from Apple Watch to Garmin's MIP display.
He probably meant with gesture mode. I own an Epix pro 51mm and it’s rated for 11 days WITH always on display. With gesture mode, battery is a month! Instinct 2x is an awesome watch, but not worth the extra cash for the Epix pro imo. The instinct can do about 90% of the things the Epix can do.
Hiya! Yes, I don't wait until it's on its last legs though, sorry should have made that clear. My Epix Gen 2 (not Pro) has gone to about 16 days before. Without turning anything off, I would say this can do 3 weeks easily, I just don't think I've 'et it get that far
@@AlexGTech Thanks! And I just visited England for the first time earlier this month. Gotta say, Bakewell/Peak District area is INCREDIBLE!!! Can't wait to come back one day and do some real hikes! Appreciate you taking time to make these videos Alex. Especially for those of us that moved from Apple to Garmin.
My pleasure! And yes, that part of the country is so beautiful! We've had the longest winter this year so I am looking forward to the warm season to get out there! Have a good one
Do you find this watch, the garmin epix pro sapphire with titanium , scratch resistant for real? Is it ok to bang the watch occasionally against something and not get scratched at all ? I own an instinct 2x, I'm thinking about upgrading to the epix pro 51mm sapphire, but what i just ask is crucial for that change to take place, for me. Thank you!!!
Yes, I mentioned it at the end, I am very clumsy, hitting it on car doors and walls, and this thing doesn't even have a micro scratch on it. To be honest even my Epix Gen 2 (non Pro) standard edition is pretty good with only minor marks on it after about 9-10 months of use
That's not entirely true. An outdoor watch, but it will not survive collisions in the field. even rough edges are a problem. There are scratches on the edges of the bezel. There are thousands of photos in Garmin's FB groups that show that Fenix and Epix are a design failure. It's better in Quatix and Tactix, because they have different bezels.@@AlexGTech
What an excellent comparison and detailed breakdown. Superb Alex. I have the Epix gen 2, and I really enjoy it. There is nothing I dislike. I also have Fenix 6 pro sapphire, and that is also awesome. Gamin produce top notch first class quality smart watches that are always supported. No apple gimmicky here 👌👍
Great review! As a MIP fan I am thinking of getting a fenix pro. Still need to try one and see if its not to heavy to wear 24/7. Currently i am using an Instinct2x as my everyday and only watch. AWis no option since i am an android guy.
amazing! yeah, it's a shame the Apple watch doesn't sync with other systems. And vice versa too, maybe one day we will see these things being a bit more open. If the EU gets involved it might happen, like the USB-C debacle 😅
Did anyone notice that this watch has some delay / latency in turning on the screen when you just simply rotate the hand to check what time it is? First time, when you rotate the hand, the watchis having some delay in turning on the screen, but if you rotate the hand immediately, for the 2, 3rd time there is no lag? Is it only my watch that is having this issue or this is by design a Garmin behavior?
I returned the Epix. Out running I can't read the numbers in sunshine. I mean, I can, but I have to get the right angle. Listen, I'm not paying $650 to have a watch that is worse than my old Timex. Going to get the fenix as I can change the background to white with black numbers.
@@joereyn3945 the capabilities/features on a Garmin are huge but the software and hardware are not on the same level of a Apple watch (Ultra). Why do u think the battery last so long?
I love both watches for different things, Apple just works seamlessly and is more smart watch with some fitness feature which Apple is definitely improving and looking forward to os 11 but the short battery on my apple series 8 was annoying so have sold it and bought a used ultra 2 which turning some settings off has improved the experience. I also love Garmin watches for the amazing battery life, software is not as good as apples it slowly improving, had the Apex pro 2 and loved the beautiful coloured screen. The Apex pro has advantage of the three size options to choice if you have smaller wrists and like waring 24-7 for comfort like the smaller Apple Watches up to the series 9 as you just don’t know you wearing it to do the tracking track as it’s so comfortable depending on the strap used. Very much looking forward to Phoenix 8 and also epic 3 to see Garmin’s tec improvements 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Apple Watch Ultra 2 gives me 4-5 days battery and the Garmin Epix 4-5 days.. And i use it for Carplay, daily fitness 2,5 hours with GPS, sleep tracking, AOD always on, full brightness, all health tracking active, alarm clock, Siri comments... So why a bad battery?
Sorry for some reason when I uploaded my comments it removed the part that said about me owning a series 8 watch which was a daily charge regime and poor battery performance. I have re-edited it 🤩🤩
@@Windsurfingaddict It is also not a real comparison: an Apple watch 8 vs a Garmin Epix pro 2. You have to compare the Garmins with the Apple Ultra's watches.
The training pause is done by pressing 2 buttons at the same time, so it is not necessary to use the display, otherwise I am more interested in long-term trends than garmin's recommendations and metrics, they were quite misleading for me. Overall I'm glad I switched from the Epix to the Ultra, they have better all day usage value for me. Thanks for the video.
Good point and thanks for that tip on pausing the workout! Honestly, I think if Apple can bring a new version with 3+ days battery I would consider going back. But that will also depend on how good the new iPhone will be, as right now I've switched mostly to Android
@@AlexGTech t I believe that apple will improve the software, especially for sports and health monitoring, because it is aware of its reserves compared to garmin, I look forward to what it will present this year, it's hard to say about the battery, but we'll see
Thanks for the feedback! I think there are some awesome channels out there who do a much better job than me at going through the specs in detail. Whilst I cover them in my videos my approach is a bit more down-to-earth. Or at least I try to make it so 😂
Even if you have small wrists the 51 mm is the best choice. It's not that big as you think. I should wear the 42 mm but i bought the 51 mm and I'm not regretting this at all. Bigger screen is more information and clearer view.
As always, the difference between Garmin and Apple is data presentation. If youre someone who actually runs, Apple has nothing to offer you. Great hardware, but absolutely nothing on the software side when it comes to training.
I would prefer this thing over any Apple watch, but it's too big for my taste. And way too expensive. I'd rather save some money and spend it on a proper mechanical Swiss watch.
thank you! yes, I am quite new to Garmin so the looks still feel fresh to me, but I see what you mean! These things are built like tanks, perfect for me as I am so clumsy. Just reviewing the Fenix 7X Pro right now, but I like the look of the Tactix too, I think those displays are the future really.
The sensors are so inaccurate on these watches compared to an Apple Watch. The sleep tracking is abysmal. I spent some time and was dissatisfied, ended returning it and keeping the Apple Watch. Though I must say, it’s a very good looking watch and Apple need to learn and move from the ugly square.
The Apple Watch Ultra is not bad at all, to be honest - but for sleep tracking it wasn't detecting when I woke up during the night sometimes. This seems to be a bit better in that sense. But everyone is different really and there's many factors that could make one better than the other. I just think they (Apple) need to improve battery and that would be a great all-rounder watch
@@AlexGTech agreed. Battery is absolutely poor on Apple Watch. I just wished they relied less on the apps on the AW and made it more simple like the Garmin, I don’t see myself using it for anything other than sleep, exercise etc tracking.
In my experience, the Epix pro is on par with the Apple Watch (I own Apple Watch Ultra 2 and have worn them both while running and they are within 1-2bpm of each other on HR. Most of the metrics are close enough to give you a good idea on training metrics. I wouldn’t be too picky. If it’s within a small margin, you get the same benefits. Both great watches!
It doesn't feel like that at all, irl to be honest. I do slow down the footage quite a bit in lots of places, (down to 25% the speed) so it could be that.
I have a fenix 6 which Ilke very much. How accurate are these Garmin watches… looking at switching from my Apple Watch 5 to epix gen 2 in a small size if that’s an option
Very good but apple s really accurate too, whzt makes garmin different s the data they give, body battrry snd continous tracking of key indicator due to the great battery life
What did the leather strap come from?
It's an optional accessory from Garmin themselves. The best I've ever tried, actually
Great overview. I am actually holding my new purchase as Garmin nay release the new edition of either Fenix or Epix this year. Any insight info.
Nothing yet but rest assured I will be just as keen to get my hands on them if I can!
How well does this watch work with the iPhone? I have 14 pro iPhone.
Thanks
Hi Alex, what watchface are you using? 0:01 0:01
It is a great watch
I have 51mm and it always amazes me how it is good
Great content, as always.
It's on sale
What's that watch face. Is that built in or downloaded?
I have the 7x pro and can’t imagine going back. Love the MIP as it’s more discrete and always on but the epix is incredible too. I want both lol. Great video!
Totally agree! Really enjoying the 7X Pro too - but missing the OLED display 🥰
MIP has a more « stealthy » look compared to the « toyish » Amoled thing)) Imagine a soldier in operation with all these vibrant colors on the wrist 😂
How to clean the watch after daily use? Should I wash it with soap like washing hands?
I live in moist and hot country. I will never put my watch on bed with all the sweat and dust after use.
I usually shower with my Fenix 6 Pro (silicone band) - most easy way to keep it clean imo.
Bom dia! Tudo bem ? Obrigado pelo vídeo.
Em relação ao garmin epix gen 2 pro e o Apple ultra 2. Qual tua opinião sobre? Qual o melhor pro dia dia?
Muito obrigado
Just picked up a new 47mm epic pro gen2 sapphire for 600. Traded my AWU 2. Best decision I’ve made
Where did you get it for $600 ? The price on the website is much higher
Guys please help. Should i buy this or should i wait for the next gen?
always wait for next gen, it saves a ton of money if you never actually buy one!
@@jortm4075 :-)
Is the battery life similar between this one and Marq2 adventure?
Is this a commercial for the product or a review!!
How do you get Garmin to send devices to you to review?
Do you find the quickfit method safe ? Is it reliable in the water, the ocean for example? Have you ever had a band cone off ?
I had a Fenix 6 Pro with quickfit for 3 years now. Never had any issues at all with quickfit - I find it completely save.
great video, can you post the link where you got the leather strap please?
I didn’t see the tag for the leather strap, am I missing something? Can someone tag me with the link?
8:19 You can pause/resume workouts on the Apple Watch Ultra just by hitting the action button and side button at the same time and since they are on opposite sides of the watch it's very easy to do this. Also if you just have a normal Apple Watch you can hit the side button and digital crown at the same time to pause/resume.
Hey Alex, thanks for the awesome review! 🙌
I was a bit worried when I saw the leather band in the water, but I guess they thought of that too.
How often did you update the software on it? As you mentioned, that process needs some improvement.
They need to implement wireless charging somehow as well.
My pleasure! And yes, that charging cable is a little annoying, wireless would be awesome!
Great video! Do you have a link for that leather strap?
@@Francisco_Otero thank you! It’s the same link as the watch, the strap is an optional upgrade
I created a new link in case Amazon doest have it: geni.us/GarminEpixProLeather
@@AlexGTech Thank you so much for the quick reply!!
You don’t need garmin express to update the watch
Beautiful looking watch Alex. I do like that sapphire crystal. Having used Garmin equipment in aviation for years it doesn't surprise me their data is top-notch especially when it comes to GPS and fitness tracking. This display seems nice and bright and clear. Have a great weekend Alex 👊🙏
Totally agree Don, they really seem to make the most of their GPS infrastructure. Superb device, shame I had to send it back to them but now I am hooked 😂
Doesn't the brown leather band get soaked by wearing in running ?
Does the Italian Leather edition come with the black watch strap too? I'd like both!
Yes, that leather strap come as an additional strap.
Hello, what would you do....
FR965, Grit X2 Pro or Epix Pro 51mm?
Where did you get that beautiful leather strap ?
It's an optional accessory when you buy it 👊🏼
Alex, so just to confirm, that’s the Garmin leather strap vs a third party? Thanks and congrats on your success!
There are great reviews from channels like DCRainmaker but the pro has the upgraded HRM, skin temperature thermometer, ECG, and a built-in flashlight. It also comes in three different sizes which was the main reason I've purchased mine (small wrists team).
It would also make sense to future-proof yourself when it comes to software upgrades since Garmin stop delivering those after a couple years to older models.
love that channel! Great point on software updates 🙌🏼
isn't the epix 3 incoming?
With Apple Watch you press action button and side button at same time and it pauses and resumes doing it
This is a great review, and this is exactly where I’m at right now trying to choose between the two, I’m definitely going with the 51 mil Garman Epic pro to Sapphire
this is so cool to hear, thank you!!
Congrats for 100k suba...
Thanks man, it's been a ride 😅
Wit my use, once every 3 weeks without turning anything off. The only thing I haven't got on is the added GPS options so maybe that's helping
@@AlexGTech Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
That's not entirely true.
No apple gimmicky here 👌👍
Thanks so much Lee! And thanks for introducing me to the Garmin world!! Never looked back 👊🏼
Nice content! Thanks
What size is this epix pro that is being reviewed?
51mm
Did anyone notice that this watch has some delay / latency in turning on the screen when you just simply rotate the hand to check what time it is?
First time, when you rotate the hand, the watchis having some delay in turning on the screen, but if you rotate the hand immediately, for the 2, 3rd time there is no lag?
Is it only my watch that is having this issue or this is by design a Garmin behavior?
Apple Watch is the best wrist hr monitor on the market.
I returned the Epix. Out running I can't read the numbers in sunshine. I mean, I can, but I have to get the right angle. Listen, I'm not paying $650 to have a watch that is worse than my old Timex. Going to get the fenix as I can change the background to white with black numbers.
Your buying a Garmin. What did you expect? The beautiful screens from Apple or Samsung between 2000-3000 nits?
@@Tha-King-Arthur I expected Timex level
@@joereyn3945 the capabilities/features on a Garmin are huge but the software and hardware are not on the same level of a Apple watch (Ultra). Why do u think the battery last so long?

I just got the forerunner 965 but I wished I got this I do like the bigger face screen watches so I will try and get this later in the year
Yes, I have the regular Epix Gen 2 in 47mm but after using the Pro in 51mm I am sold on that size!
@@AlexGTech why did you sell that size
I absolutely love my garmin epix pro
Beautiful watch!!
Thanks man. Awesome content Looking forward for the Fenix review.
Thank you so much !!
What is the ending song called
@@AlexGTech t I believe that apple will improve the software, especially for sports and health monitoring, because it is aware of its reserves compared to garmin, I look forward to what it will present this year, it's hard to say about the battery, but we'll see
Super vidéo, comme d’habitude.
Merci!
Merci Jean-Francois!! Bonne weekend!
Looks huge, I think the ultra is too large for my wrist, so this is clearly not for me. Next time DO START with the specs...
Perfect timing
Cheers!!
As always, the difference between Garmin and Apple is data presentation. If youre someone who actually runs, Apple has nothing to offer you. Great hardware, but absolutely nothing on the software side when it comes to training.
Very well put! To be honest, at my level that is just fine - but I couldn't go back to that Apple Watch battery now
Apple Watch does not update Health Metrics in real time. It adjusts every 15 minutes. Even the apps you install on it.
Nice one Alex 😎
Thanks Mary!! Glad you enjoyed it, it's been a perfect watch for me. Have a great weekend ahead!
The pros and non pro have the same HR. How can there be such a discrepancy?
I don’t think that’s right. I believe the Pro (Gen 2) has an updated HR sensor
@@AlexGTechoh I didn’t know that. Btw, what’s the name of the watch face with the blue hands? Watch on brown strap . Cheers
I would prefer this thing over any Apple watch, but it's too big for my taste. And way too expensive. I'd rather save some money and spend it on a proper mechanical Swiss watch.
Apple watch Ultra is also big with its 49 mm..
New update interface of the website coonect is really bad. There is like nothing to see. The old version was so much better.
I need to spend more time on that, I feel like it's quite customisable though
I like the look of Tactix 7. Garmins look is getting long in the tooth. Great watches tho. price is something you have to swallow 😢. great review
thank you! yes, I am quite new to Garmin so the looks still feel fresh to me, but I see what you mean! These things are built like tanks, perfect for me as I am so clumsy. Just reviewing the Fenix 7X Pro right now, but I like the look of the Tactix too, I think those displays are the future really.
If garmin had cellular id probably switch from the ultra….hate taking my phone on runs.
That’s gotta be coming soon right? They’d win a bucket load of customers
And paying with Google Pay.
Why do you need a device for sleep tracking? Your body is the perfect sleep tracker. Wake up energized? Slept well. Wake up tired? Didn't sleep well.
@@AlexGTech agreed. Battery is absolutely poor on Apple Watch. I just wished they relied less on the apps on the AW and made it more simple like the Garmin, I don’t see myself using it for anything other than sleep, exercise etc tracking.
@@brandonw1604 because I have a condition that troubles me with sleep. That’s why it’s required.
Thank you Alex.

I have a fenix 6 which Ilke very much. (For me the Apple wouldn't be in the running because it only works their restricted ecosystem)
Anyhow, another plus for Garnin: My has a Vivoactive which started malfunctioning yesterday. I found Garmin's customer support chat online last evening, and after doing a few tests with the tech, he put through an immediate order for a replacement. How many watches have a live tech to give that kind of service?
Amazing!! I love Garmin !
