Could not have had a more treasonous traitor shitting on otath on your program. Should have asked about his statement about citizens having firearms I can link the interview if one would like to hear this supposed patriot say a unpatriotic statement. Tim Kennedy made many sacrifices but he shit on all that the day he made that statement. Also shit on all the real soldiers that died in the name of freedom and the constitution he just slapped them and their family in the face for their sacrifices. 2A DOES NOT HAVE CLAUSE ONLY FOR THE TRAINED. The well regulated part has nothing to do with having training.

When he said "that's war all the rest is for the movies" struck hard. My 21yr son was deployed to Iraq at the beginning of the war in March 2003. His last phone call home before he was killed he said " War is not like the movies mom, it's not like the movies". Then he was just quiet for a minute. I told him I loved him, but I had no other words, no way to convey any kind of ease for what he was living in and feeling. F*ck war

People have had more than enough opportunity to see the results of war. Look at what’s happening in Gaza right now. Look at the millions of hours of footage from the 20 years spent in Afghanistan. All the documentaries out there. Look at the thousands of hours of footage and all the photo taken by the war photographers and journalists during Vietnam. Yankee Papa 13 and the Mai Lai massacre. The concentration camps of WWII, the blood soaked beaches of Normandy. We have all this film of devastation in WWI, the trenches, the shell shocked and horribly disfigured soldiers. Then we have all the archival images of dead Americans blanketing fields from the Civil War.
And guess what?? No one cares. No one learns from it and people keep glorifying it. War makes rich people richer at the expense of the poor.

He threw grenades into the cave. One in the cave he found they'd killed a young mother and her kids. He said they visited him in his nightmares regularly. Dude just told you that war is awful, ugly, and some of the things he's done still haunt him. What's he supposed to do in how he relates his story? Collapse down to his knees, tears streaming down his face, begging forgiveness every time he tells it? That's between himself and God.

    • @wellscampbell9858

@briangoldy8784 God told you that directly? Most of the Christian people I know refer to the Bible as their source of God knowledge. The Bible is a document. Take away Veterans, cops, judges, and politicians, and very quickly you will have people doing things they claim they have the liberty to do, but which infringe on other peoples rights. Next you will have a big gunfight because both sides believe God gave them the right to defend/protect. Keeping that from happening will require laws. Politicians represent people so that we don’t have to all go in and debate and approve every single little law. Cops and judges are there to enforce the laws, and veterans help protect us from invaders who have their own laws that we think infringe on our rights. Did God happen to mention an alternative solution during your one-on-one that sidesteps all those roles?

Cite your source. You DO know Tim owns Sheepdog Response, which trains people to use firearms in tactical situations for home defense. Kinda difficult to use a firearm in a defensive mode without having a firearm. BTW….I don’t think every Tom, Dick or Harry needs a firearm. Too many children are dying because their imbecilic parents aren’t intelligent enough to keep the firearm in a place where the kids don’t find it. If you choose to arm yourself with a firearm it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure the safe storage of your weapon or weapons. That was the first thing my dad taught me over fifty years ago when I started shooting with him, but what would he have known? He was only a decorated Korean War Marine combat veteran. He had actually heard a round fired in anger. 99% of the loudmouths opining here haven’t.

As former military, I myself have absolutely no problem with the 2A. But I do believe all gun owners should go through formal firearm safety training, and a background check. I strongly suspect, the most militant and uncompromising gun rights advocates, have never worn any kind of uniform, not a day in their life. They simply have a gun fetish.

This is one of the reasons we have so many veterans with mental health issues, my self included, i remember my first time speaking with a therapist, amazing lady wish i could have had her the entire time but didnt work out like that, but when i started explaining the crap i had seen and had to do over the last 23 years of service, you could see the look of WTF on her face, she was a great listener though, but about the best response you could give to someone after hearing this stuff is jist like Shawn said, Im sorry! How do you even begin tp help someone when you cant even fathom that kind of effect it has on them. Other than just saying here is some pills. Even though you know you didnt really have a choice and never would intentionally hurt innocent women or children it happened because some other cowards and a hole put them selves with them because they know the western countries habe the mindset to protect women and children. When it happens it just tears your heart out and you feel empty, atleast i did, how can you feel like you have done a great job and at the same time feel like shit.

I am not knocking anyone and everyone is allowed to make a living, write a book, host a podcast etc. I just dont understand why guys cant move on to the next chapter in their lives? I loved my time and had great experiences and terrible ones. I wanted nothing more then to flip the page and become a productive member of society after I was done. I dont want to tell "war" stories and relive my past but some of these guys are just stuck in that phase. I think of my grandpa and my dad. They didnt ever discuss their WW2 or Vietnam stories. They came home and got jobs, started families and moved on. These comments on here are part of that ridiculous cycle that fosters this. There is an insatiable need by the fan boys with idiotic comments. "We wouldnt be here without you, we have it from here soldier" " i can see the pain in your eyes" and other moronic clichés.

Only thing I disagree with is when he talks about gun rights, even what he iss saying is coming from a place of ow ing a weapon in a war. In my opinion not every person in the country should have this right. There should be stricter gun laws. I'm not saying guns should be banned by any means. Just that it's too easy to have one
