Thanks so much for all this content, Jess! I don’t mind about there not being a Vlogmas this year. I’m mostly just looking forward to some book videos and maybe a year end “best of”. 😊❤
Hey Jess, is S. (JJ Abrams, Doug Dorst) on your radar at all? I was already interested in what you'd think of it and hearing your thoughts on house of leaves (which I haven't read but seems in a similar realm) made me think of it again!
re: periods . I straight up have to add ten milligrams to my antidepressant as soon as my luteal phase hits. it helps so so much; I have so much more energy before my period
Thank you both for doing vlogtober and editing the vlogs. So sad no vlogmas this year since I know you've always looked forward to this but completely understand with all the changes in your life over the past couple years. Thank you for continuing to do videos. Love your content.
I really enjoyed Vlogtober this year! (quite busy to keep up-to-date as you can see, just finishing it 😅) But great as always, thank you so much Jess ❤
Would love to know which bronze/gold eyeshadow you're wearing around the middle of the video, gorgeous colour on you! Thanks so much for the vlogs this year xx
I actually read Stoner because you said it was a nice cozy book and I LOVED it. I read about 60% of it in the first sitting and when it ended I felt no book could ever be as good again.
Loving your commentary on house of leaves! it's one of my phd thesis texts, so it's always interesting to see what people say when they aren't having to obsessively analyse it :P honestly v weird analysing a text in the very way he's parodying but there we go
I think what you said about potentially problematic reading of a book is so interesting. I wonder if on some level the author did it intentionally in order to spark exactly these kinds of conversations? I've not read the book so cannot comment in particular but sometimes I would love to get into an author's mind to know if something was intentional or they just wrote it without knowing the wider implications. I really enjoyed Vlogtober. If you don't keep on with vlogs then either reading thoughts vids/a podcast would be welcomed by me. Food for thought. :)
I don't know how realistic this is, but I'd love it if you started a podcast where you interview authors!
That would be so cool!
That’s a great idea!
What an amazing idea!!!! I’d tune in for sure
I would so love this! ❤
Would loooove that I also love hearing Jess’s academic / theory based chats 😍
