I always feel so happy when you upload a new vlog - and the longer the better! Mimi always looks so cute and those walk shots are beautifully shot and edited 😍 I honestly can't wait for spring as well. Looking forward to your january books video, xx
If you're feeling demotivated at the gym maybe exercise outside the gym? Climbing/bouldering, yoga, long-distance walking? Helps breaking it up sometimes!
Would you consider doing a PHD in the future? I think you've mentioned it before but I was wondering whether it's something you're still interested in doing? Loving your content :) x
If you hate cardio don't do it! Find the types of workouts you enjoy and look forward to and do those. No reason to make yourself suffer through a type of working out you hate if you're already fit and have lots of workouts you do like.
I was wondering if you'd consider doing a video/blog post or whatever you see fit, on 'where to start' for a new reader. I've wanted to get more into reading for a while, but I'm not sure where to start and how to identify good books. You obviously have a very good radar for quality books and it would be great to hear your tips. Thank you!
Bridget Cecilia I’m clearly not Jess and I hope she answers this! As someone who does rad a good bit though, I will say “quality” is very subjective. Much of what is considered canonical literature is based entirely on where you are and who you ask, and historically rooted in notions of superiority, not actual literary merit. If you like it, then you’ll read more, and that’s the point. There are so many “classics” I’ve never bothered with because they aren’t at all interesting to me and so many books by non-American, non-white, etc. authors that get overlooked
Ahh always love your book hauls. You should read Pachinko- I'm in the middle of it at the minute & I feel like it's something you might be interested in x
The movie version of “The Third Man” is a classic. It’s unpredictable and kind of draws you into the story. And the soundtrack - can’t beat virtuoso zither.
I’d recommend reading some of the Moomin books by Tove Jansson. They’re technically children’s books, but can be read and enjoyed by adults. I love the second one, Comet in Moominland.
Hi Jess :) Love all the book content. As for Stephen King, I recommend reading Mr. Mercedes trilogy before reading The Outsider. It might nit be necessary but I think it will elevate your reading experience when reading The Outsider a lot. Actually, you can only read the first book in that trilogy. There is a character in the trilogy that becomes quite a big character in The Outsider, but we get to know her in the trilogy, so when she appears in The Outsider, you're supposed to know everything about her already, she doesn't get re-introduced (and she's very interesting and special, there's a lot about her that isn't explained in The Outsider, because it is already explained in the trilogy). There's also events of Mr. Mercedes mentioned in The Outsider, not a lot, maybe once or twice, but when it is , you won't know what they're talking about. As for a tv show, there is a tv show for both books (Mr. Mercedes just ended their third and last season), but in this case, you can watch the Outsider without watching Mr. Mercedes. This character is introduced in The Outsider as if we're not meant to know her from before. She is also played by two different actresses so I think we're meant to see them as two different characters. Anyway, the books are connected, the tv shows are not. Good Luck x
My AirPods always act up it’s so frustrating! You need to press and hold down the white button on the back of the case (while the lid is open) until the light flashes white. This will help to ensure both are charged/ charging.
I have airpods and starting to think they're super over priced and not really worth it, I love it for when I'm in the gym or cutting about the house doing things whilst my phone is in another room, but they're so expensive and play up quite a lot! 😭
A tip: you can pace around the room whilst reading and get a substantial amount of exercise in that way, then you wouldn't have to torture yourself with the jogging
Your next Nabakov should be laughter in the dark - and after you read it read this: www.newyorker.com/books/page-turner/nabokov-retranslated-laughter-dark will blow your mind!

Your hair looks great. What you need is a fringe...Also as a fellow glasses wearer those clear ones are way too big for your face. They look like you have put someone elses on or some of those oversized party ones. |You'd suit the frame just in a smaller size,,
Mimi! So happy to see her being this active! :)
Blunt bob is the best hair on you!!
So happy to see Mimi have so much fun and roaming around in muddy creeks 💕☺️

I would first get your hair thinned out, and then if you’re not happy with the result you can still go back in and get it shortened :)

Loved “The Summer Book” book 😊
Our man in Havana by Graham Greene!!
Hi Jess The End of the Affair, by Graham Green is a beautiful book to read.
I rnjoyed this vlog.
some nice layers in your hair would help with the weight issue :) if it's all one length it will always look a bit bulky and heavy.
The Outsider is a new mini series on HBO. I haven't read the book, but the show is so good that I'll definitely have to give the book a read soon.
You have to read Nabokov's The eye!!!
Jess you should read 'My Antonia' by Willa Cather!
love the jeans, love the dog walk!would love some more house footage. time lapse of a day of zac working there stripping walls?
Currently reading Your House Will Pay and it's really good. The audiobook for The Hidden Life of Trees is excellent! 👌
Mimi! She never met a body of water she didn’t like!💙!
Omg, The Argonauts! One of my favourite feminist novels, hope to hear your review soon 🥰🥰
Do you use a LUT on your videos? and if so which one?

Graham Greene recommendations:
Brighton Rock
The fallen Idol
The End of The Affair
Highly highly recommend Amy & Isabelle by Elizabeth Strout after you read Olive Kitteridge.
More guys should watch your vlogs because you are *BAE* material
go with short hair, it suits you well :)
scarf details?
Press and hold the reset button on the back of your AirPod case, (with the AirPods in it) that should reconfigure them
where did you get your nails done at?
Sarah she has them done by @bhambnails on Instagram!!

Do you at all pick books by their cover design or does that not really matter to you?:) xx

That smile! 15:52 You're so cute!! :D
you can always thin out and then cut it back if u don't like it
📙💯
PLS READ LULLABY AND ADELE BY LEILA SLIMANI you will love LOVE them!! Sending heaps of hugs Xxx
ER I think someone edited my comment. Hmmm oh and FYI yes The Outsider is on TV on Sly Atlantic Monday nights. My BF is in it.
A tip: you can pace around the room whilst reading and get a substantial amount of exercise in that way, then you wouldn't have to torture yourself with the jogging
Blue Note walking isb’t much cardio though, esp since it doesn’t get your heart rate up, so jogging is still good WITH the walking :)
@@kb-ih7ni well it's a contested issue if running is better than walking
